We chose the Daffodil for our anniversary stay for its location and it did not disappoint. The lake view from our room was beautiful and there was a great spot for dipping in the lake. Moses on front desk was very helpful. The spa area was relaxing with very good hydro Jets. The sauna and steam weren't unbearable but could of been abit hotter. Our room was clean with a spacious bathroom. We had a couples full body massage, the girls who did it were friendly and competent. We didn't know where to eat and they recommended The Yan which didn't disappoint. I would recommend the Daffodil and will probably return.

We just stayed for one night to climb Scafell Pike, it was a lovely place to stay after a hard day, very relaxing and quiet, staff were very nice and helpful, room was lovely with a view over the lake

We visited with family in August and had an amazing time. The location is fabulous just a short walk into the centre of Grasmere. Moses on Reception is a true credit to the hotel, what a polite gentleman and always greeted you with a smile. Breakfast was excellent, we also had lunch and our evening meal here and again the service and food was 1st class. Denise at the spa was really helpful. We will certainly return to this lovely hotel, thank you again for a great weekend break.

The hotel was so lovely, when you step into reception the staff are so welcoming, everything explained, we were given a room overlooking the lake which was beautiful, you can’t see from the front of the hotel how lovely the view is, so peaceful and tranquil, the restaurant was very good, food excellent and the staff cannot do enough for you, the lounge was lovely to relax in, cocktails delicious, this hotel is situated ideally for buses and good walking routes and of course Grasmere just a few minutes walk away, we had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend a stay, can’t wait to go back and be spoilt again 🤩

Last minute booking. Fabulous hotel in stunning location. We didn’t leave the village throughout our three night stay. The contemporary, occasional quirky decoration was refreshing. All staff were helpful and friendly. We are two wheelchair users - found hotel, room etc very accessible.
