La Madriguera

Hospitality is not only about money… Guatapé is a beautiful city but we had some issues when it came to the place we stayed at. First the reservation was supposed to include a parking (that was the main reason we went there) but it turns out that they didn’t have one and we had to park our car down the hill with no security and had to bring our luggages up. They did not mention in the application that this service was not available at this time. Second, they had constructions all around and the noises were really loud and annoying at 7am ( it was not really their fault since that’s the city, but they could have at least not given us the room in front of them since the hotel was empty and we saw some vacant rooms further away). Me and my friend also reserved a kind sized bed and we ended up having a double bed with a duvet as a bed sheet, no toilet papers in the bathroom and ONE light. Also, the breakfast was supposed to be open until 9.30am, but they told us it was actually 8:30am. Everything could have been forgotten if when we told the desk lady that they could at least have told us about the parking, she replied that « we should have complained yesterday and go to another place » but we couldn’t because we would have been charged the late cancellation fees. Was definitely not worth the 100$/night price. We tried to ask for a small discount because we paid services that were not given to us. The lady refused! Guatapé is a very beautiful and tourist friendly city though.

Nice views, awful bed. Pro: vistas fantasticas, muy amables, buen wifi CONTRA: CAMAS TERRIBLES, un poco alejado del centro. Pd: mucho sonidos de ranas por la noche. Elije si te gusta k no.
