Great location (though 30 mins from the airport). The staff were helpful and upgraded our room. The hostel is in the middle of town and around the back is the bus stop for the #3 on/off tourist bus which takes you to the beach and harbour areas. A 2 hour round trip, so a nice cheap way … 5CNY (have the correct cash) to see the area. Lots of food options in the area, but make sure you eat up at lunch time as most places were not open at dinner time.

The sanitary environment is very good and it is cleaned every day. Only the air conditioner remote control has poor contact and you have to find the right angle to use it. It is quite good to be alone here. The location is quite close to Haikou Qilou Old Street and Night Market, which is still very good.

The location is the highlight of this homestay. In the old street of the arcade, the back door is the fourth parking lot. You can go shopping in the old street when you go out. It is extremely convenient! The durian shop on the first floor is also delicious. Although the room is not big, it is normal to think about being in the old building. recommend! The boss attitude is nice!

After an unsatisfactory homestay for one night, we're back to this hotel due to its prime location and attentive staffs. We took the photo shootings and it's great experience. Very good stylish and photographer. We stayed for another 4 nights this time and discovered the small and beautiful garden on the 4th floor. Floor can be cleaner as we are not wearing shoes in the room. The sand in the room should be covered. Great experience overall.

This hotel is the most cost-effective hotel I have stayed in nearby. Although it is an old hotel, it has been renovated and upgraded. The room is large and quiet, and the sanitary conditions are quite good. It is hot in Haikou these days, the air conditioning is sufficient, and there is free parking. The only drawback is that Datang is a bit small, and the lobby is not as good as a four-star hotel. The overall feeling is good. I will stay here when I come to the city center in the future.

GGuest UserWe sadly got stuck in Haikou in the time when Hainan was plaqued by a Covid outbreak and there was no way to leave the Island. Luckily we picked this Hotel to wait it out, and we stayed here in total 12 nights of which we spend basically the whole time inside our room. The whole hotel has a nice Flair, everything is green and fitting the theme of forest. The room was quite comfy and welcoming, all amenities were there and working. The only downside was that the WiFi was pretty slow (therefore only 4points), so we basically needed to use our mobile internet the whole time. As this was a special situation we had a lot of interaction with the Hotel staff which, even that they didn't speak any English, always was extremely helpful and friendly and went the extra mile to support us. They washed our clothes for free and there was delicious free coffee and fresh fruit provided which gave us an extra welcoming feeling! Due to our situation I can't really rate the location as we were not allowed to explore the surroundings, but all the positive experiences mentioned definitely put this place up there as one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. If I'd ever return to Haikou I'd definitely go back to this Hotel.

AARC5555he Hilton Haikou is a very well located hotel and probably one of the best in Haikou. On arrival there was a heavy rainfall which caused me to get quite wet walking from the taxi to the hotel entrance. I booked the room online via trip for me and my travel companion with the payment in hotel option. Online-Prepayment was not possible. On check in, given that I was very wet because of the rainshower I was quite unsatisfied with the service. First there was apparently some issue, wether I or my companion booked the room because the order of names on the booking showed my name in second place. Also my companion wasnt with me at that time because of a one day delay. In my opinion it shouldnt be a matter who booked the room since both of our names were given, regardless of the order. This issue took some extra time which is very inconvenient if you are dripping wet and just want to rest. Secondly when it comes to payment instead of the 1959 RMB, 2000 RMB were deducted from my WeChat account without any communication about the deviation. I also only realized it later when I already arrived the room and was very confused what the 41 RMB were for. Like I said it has not been communicated to me at all. Maybe a tip or was it meant as a deposit? (Even though it would appear to be a very odd deposit amount and tipping in China is not a thing) I guess from a 5 Star Hilton I could expect accuracy and clear communication when it comes to payment. Which brings me to another downside. Even though my Mandarin is sufficient enough, I was very surprised that at a Hilton of this price category none of the staff at check in nor other employees were able to speak English. So for foreigners who dont speak Chinese this would be a bit difficult. The next day I went down to reception again to ask about the 41 RMB and was offered a refund, yet the reason why it has been deducted in the first place still remains unknown to me. Another small issue appeared at breakfast when I asked one of the waitresses where the tea/ teabags is/are located. I formulated my request precisely in Chinese and the lady was just behaving awkward and walked away. I thought maybe still something would happen, but 10 minutes later still nothing. Luckily I was able to find the overseeing waitress, asked her the same question and found out that the Teabags are not openly presented at the buffet (Which is an unexpected inconvenience for a 5-Star hotel yet again, + the tea choices are very limited) My last complaint is the minibar. I have been at budget hotels before, which offered a free minibar which is refilled every day. Why are there so many things in this Hotel with a hefty price tag. This appears not welcoming given the cost of this Hotel. Especially the price-tag of minibar drinks is outrageous. For example 0.33L Tsingtao Beer 28 RMB…. Speechless. In every shop around you get 0.5L for less than half the price. Now that all my complaints about the service have been mentioned, lets move on to the many upsides of the Hilton: -Great location and rooms -Very good breakfast buffet with many choices -Even better dinner buffet (298RMB/Person) -Great panorama view -luxurious -Some of the staff still did a great job, which is why I still give a 3/5 rating, regardless of previous issues.

东来 DavidI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton by Hilton hotel in Haikou, Hainan for two nights in April. From start to finish, my experience at this hotel was exceptional, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Haikou. First and foremost, the location of the hotel is fantastic. Situated close to various amenities, I found myself just a short walk away from restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Whether I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat or explore the city's vibrant culture, everything was easily accessible. This convenience truly enhanced my overall experience, making it effortless to immerse myself in the local atmosphere. One of the standout features of the hotel was its friendly and English-speaking staff. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff who were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They provided me with detailed information about the hotel facilities, nearby attractions, and even recommended some must-visit places in Haikou. Throughout my stay, the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, making me feel valued as a guest. The rooms at the Hampton by Hilton were modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. My room was meticulously clean, with comfortable bedding and a well-appointed bathroom. The inclusion of amenities such as a flat-screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a coffee maker added an extra layer of convenience and comfort to my stay. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail and the well-thought-out layout of the room, which made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. Breakfast at the hotel was a delightful experience. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, including both Western and Chinese dishes, ensuring there was something to suit every palate. The quality of the food was excellent, and the attentive staff ensured that everything was well-stocked and maintained. Starting my day with a satisfying breakfast set the tone for a great day of sightseeing. Overall, my stay at the Hampton by Hilton Haikou, Hainan was nothing short of exceptional. The convenient location, friendly and English-speaking staff, well-appointed rooms, and delicious breakfast all contributed to a memorable experience. I can confidently recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Haikou. I look forward to returning to Hampton by Hilton on my next visit to this beautiful city.

AAnonymous UserLocation: Near the East High-speed Railway Station, a few minutes walk from the station Service: Take the initiative to say hello, show you the room, and answer all questions Environment: There are six self-built villas in ABCDEFG. The environment outside in the yard is better than inside the house. There are a lot of mosquitoes, so I lit the electric mosquito-repellent incense to get better in the middle of the night. The smell is strong, even after I left it in the house with the window open overnight, it still hasn’t dissipated. When I moved in, I noticed a few mold spots on the wall. The front desk said it's much better above the second floor. Only when I booked the hotel on Ctrip did I find it was on the first floor. If I had known earlier, I should have booked a room on the second floor or above for a few dozen yuan more to stay temporarily for one night. It's much better to stay at another hotel in the same price range now. It is recommended that if you want to make a reservation, it will be better to book directly to enjoy the preferential experience.

TTravellingWallyThe only reason why we booked this hotel is because we had a very earlier flight, and the hotel is directly reachable via Meilan Railway station. The hotel is also near a “shopping mall” to do last minute souvenir shopping, and there’s like a food court nearby. So location is 5 stars! At one glance the room looks spacious and okay, but there’s a cockroach looking creature flying out suddenly and when underneath the bed frame, and the toilet seats and the shower floor looks a little stained. I think the room light is a little dull even when all the spot lights are switch on hence not really giving a bright and clean impression. Nonetheless the super huge bed looks clean and white! Personally felt that service was not up to standard of what one would expect from a 4 diamond hotel. Checked in around 6pm and there were 4 staffs standing at the counter but only 1 attended to the 3 guests queuing to check in (maybe it’s not their job to do check in?). Later the night wanted to ask about the bus shuttle service timing and the guy standing at the information counter just replied in a frustrated tone - “look at this timetable”. As it is our first time here we don’t know where is the pickup point and we asked where is the pickup point to which he just reply “this level”. We had to look around and point to the nearest entry and reconfirm is it there. So service aspect could have been friendlier. Amenities wise it’s pretty standard. Toiletries were great. 4 bottles of waters provided. 2 pairs of slip ons and 2 pairs of rubber slippers. Oh not sure what’s wrong with the aircon, set 23 degree yet it’s still making us sweat in the night. Usually I would feel freezing cold in this temperature. All in all, an ok experience to have somewhere to stay to catch an early flight.

GGuest UserCame here with friends for CNY. The hotel itself was nice and clean and the room was really spacious. The bathtub really sold this room for me. Simply amazing. The beach is right across the street which can be a big plus but unfortunately, the weather was not the best so I didn't visit at all. The downside of this location is its a bit away from bars and restaurants nothing is walking distance. The staff was really nice and two people were able to assist in English. I forgot the names but they were super helpful.

YYF PhangThis boutique hotel is a block inside a residential area. You will only see the hotel after you have pass the security camera at the main entrance into the compound. The design elements of these hotel are unique and a lot of instagramable spot. Cleanliness in the room are acceptable, generous room size and comfortable bed make it a pleasant stay. The carpet at the corridor however are in pretty poor condition and very much required cleaning. Our bookings come with free breakfast and transfer to the airport, which is great value for money. Surprisingly the quality of the oriental breakfast are good, enough variety to suits most people. The transfer to the airport were done in a mini bus without any dedicated space for luggage storage, hence passengers has to place them on the walkway to the seats. Luckily everybody were understanding and do not mind squeezing through to get to a available seats. The ride is no more than 15 minutes from the hotel. The professional driver will remind everyone to check their ticket for the correct Terminal to get to their flight. Overall, this is a good options if you needed a night stay near the airport or train station for your early morning schedule flights or trains.

BBenjamin Sch.We (German family) have visited the hotel during our Hainan vacations. The location is great within a Chinese local quarter and close to a beautiful large park with view on the Haikou bay. The staff is very friendly and helpful but you need to speak some English to get things done. We have three children so we booked the family suite on the 33rd floor which was very spacious and suitable for us. The equipment in the hotel was a bit older and partially worn down but all still functional and could be used well. But for the price I would not complain too much. Cleanliness was okay but not superior. The rooms smelled a bit moldy from time to time and needed good ventilation. The offered breakfast was okay for us (as we did not expect a lot of international food). The children found suitable dishes like cereal, small cakes, noodles or fried rice. The fruit offerings were good. A negative point from my side was the very bad coffee quality. The offered filtered coffee was really not good. These days many local Chinese hotels have small fresh brew coffee machines to offer a coffee or even Cappuccino. I recommend the hotel to invest into one. Fortunately for us there was a Starbucks across the street and a Luckin Coffee will open later down the street. Overall a nice time in Haikou and we would book the family suite again due to the good price.

GGuest UserA very stylish apar**ent with cooking facilities. It has a duplex structure, a living room and kitchen downstairs, as well as a small study, and two bedrooms upstairs. It is perfect for our group of four girlfriends to stay here, and it is very cost-effective. Downstairs is the beautiful Tingxiu Park, and it is also close to Yuanda Shopping Plaza, so it is very convenient for dining and shopping. I will stay here again when I come to Haikou next time.
