Hotel restaurant under renovation. Instead of buffet breakfast, had to queue to collect breakfast pack in a plastic bag (only rice and sandwiches, and all cold) and coffee next to check in counter. Since hotel had planned the renovation long ago, it should be honest and inform potential customers so that we can decide whether to stay here. We only found out about renovation when we reached the hotel at 3 pm. It was too late for us to change our itinerary or booking. From customer perspective, this is an issue of integrity and honesty. I will not stay in this hotel chain again and does not recommend to others since there are many good Japanese hotel brand available. This is also the only Japanese hotel brand that allows check in only at 4 pm (instead of 3 pm) and check out at 10 am (instead of 11 am). Potential customers should take note.

Hotel is located next to morning market and walking distant to Hakodate Station and Tram station. The famous hamburger chain is also right outside the hotel. There are lots of food choices around the area. also walking distant to places of interest. Just take note that there is another Toyoko Inn on the other side of the area which is a bit further from the station and morning market. Room is comparatively smaller. Big luggage may have problem in the room.

I personally feel this hotel is a good starting point especially if you love exploring by walking. From Hakodate Train Station, it is about a 5-10 min walk. Along the way, you'll find a number of food options (kaizen-don selection) at Hakodate Asaichi that is best for breakfast/lunch and also Lucky Pierrot (local restaurant burger chain with wide selection) across the street. There is also a Lawson's convenience store nearby. The hotel is within walking distance (＜5 min) from the Morning Market (where you can get all the preserved seafood for souvenirs) and also the must-try Uni Marumaki's (price range Y3500 and up for the recommended items). Further up, after about 20 minutes walking, is the Red Brick Warehouses (Lots of souvenir shopping and some of the more-branded food to try between meals - cakes, ice cream etc). The Hakodate Seafood Market is also around this area where fresh sashimi is available. I was surprised to find similarly priced oysters (Y900 for 2) here that's of better quality than at the Morning Market. I've concentrated so far on the plentiful food options nearby because the breakfast buffet had very, very limited options and limited seating (see last photo). The main option I could recall was a selection of onigiri with different flavours, some western-type food, and bread. I think it's fine because Hakodate is really a foodie's place so you should try eating outside the hotel (especially sashimi and kaizendon). The hotel itself is very clean and has all basic amenities that serve it's purpose.

Give a good welcome The place is easy to find, not far from JR train station and tram.

The hotel is in a good location. Very close to Hakodate JR station, just 5 minutes walk. As it’s under Tokuyo brand, overall cleanness and hygiene are up to standard. Breakfast is not bad though not many choices. Room is a standard of most hotels in Japan. Only drawback is that having to check out by 10 AM.

the room is clean with openable windows, shower is strong, the water cooking cup is funny that something I have never seen before, see pictures

The restaurant is under renovation, so breakfast only has bread and lunch boxes, which is a pity It would be more perfect if you have a normal breakfast The location of the hotel is very good and very convenient. There is a Laosen convenience store downstairs and Lucky Clown Burger opposite 👍👍👍

The location is excellent, next door is the Hakodate Morning Market, where you can eat live seafood and buy fruits before noon. The tram station and train station are all within a 5-minute walk, making it easy for independent travelers to move around. The room and bathroom are very small, and the price is cheap for a business hotel where you can sleep at night.

The hotel is very close to JR Hakodate Station, about a 3-minute walk. Next door is the morning market. The facade is currently under repair. The hotel service is also good. You can eat curry rice from 7 to 8 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. It tastes good.

Toyoko Hotel Chain ~ Toyoko Hotels are the same everywhere! Free breakfast, price 300+. The location is very close to the station. This Toyoko restaurant is just a hundred or two hundred meters away from Hakodate Station. It is right next to the morning market and is convenient for going anywhere. However, this location cannot see the sea. The most beautiful place in Toyoko is Mount Fuji😂

The hotel is located near the JR train station, about 200 to 300 meters walk. Exit the station and walk straight through the morning market. The hotel is close to the morning market, about 50 meters apart. Next to the hotel is a lawson. The hotel serves breakfast. If someone doesn't come down to eat, we can scoop it out and give it to a friend. Good service, clean, will stay here again next time.

The service at the reception and in the parking lot was good. The breakfast menu is not that great considering the price, but there was nothing I wanted to have a second helping of.

The service attitude is very good. The room is very clean. The environment is good. It is very close to Odori Park. There are many delicious foods nearby. Very satisfied 👍
