"I highly, highly recommend this hotel! It's located near Goryokaku Park, easily accessible by tram from JR Hakodate Station. This area is quite central, with museums, shopping malls, and plenty of great food options nearby – there's even a super delicious soup curry place! A Lawson and 7-Eleven are less than a minute away, and it's also close to Yunokawa Onsen. I recommend this hotel for a couple of reasons. First, the room was exceptionally clean and spacious. I stayed in a king-size room by myself, and it felt more than ample; I could easily fit several suitcases without an issue. Second, the staff's service attitude was excellent – very polite and courteous. I had a meeting in the morning and requested that the cleaning staff not disturb me during that time. Throughout my stay, no one ever knocked on my door; they quietly cleaned the adjacent rooms. Later, when I returned from sightseeing in the evening, I found a bag of fresh toiletries hanging on my door! I was so touched! They were considerate enough not to disturb me by knocking, yet also made sure I had new bathroom supplies. I was deeply impressed by the hotel's service and thoughtful consideration! This was truly the most satisfying hotel experience of my Hokkaido trip. The price was reasonable, the cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff were warm and polite. Next time I visit Hakodate, I'm booking this hotel directly."

"Location of hotel is quite good. Need to walk 15 minutes from Hakodate Station. Hotel breakfast provided in Japanese restaurant is fantastically good. Rich variety of local Japanese food. Service provided by hotel was bad n needed to be improved: (1) Check in to hotel is strictly starts at 3pm, which is vy late. Most Japan hotel checks in at 2pm n allows earlier check in. Customers needed to wait n queue up in long line to check in. Hotel is not flexible n has no alternative plans to open up check in earlier even though long queues of people are waiting for 3pm. Long queue is blocking the hotel lobby reception too. Worst is that there are a few staffs sitting at reception counter not doing anything to accommodate to crowded waiting at counter. Vy poor service provided by hotel front office reception. (2) Same thing as waiting in long queue for daily breakfast. Waiting time is too long. Will need the staff to take one by one customer to respective table. There's only one staff taking charge. Will need to upgrade the service by adding one or two more staff to be on duty at the counter."

"I hv requested a king size bed when I booked 6weeks in advanced my stay but they didnt give me a king size bed. The room is tiny with a corridor and separated shower area and toilet. I feel the room design is not efficient and uses up many space which doesnt allow guests to open the luggage. Onsen was good. Their water makes the skin soft and smooth. Because of its hotel capacity there are many guests and onsen area is quite crowded. Breakfast was excellent but they close shape at 9am. You are requested to hv breakfast at either 7am or 8am. That is too early for me. In general nice stay but could hv been better."

"I was contemplating whether to stay in hotel that is near to JR Hakodate, or Tokyu stay, because Tokyu stay has a washer/dryer in the room. At the end of the, I chosen Tokyu stay, even though it is further away from the JR station. You need to walk about 10mins from the station, which u may want to think twice in winter time. I went during summer, so is manageable. It is so convenient to have a washer/dryer in the room! Everything else was ok and no regrets staying here"

With the bed in place, there was hardly any room for luggage; I had to put my suitcase on the narrow table by the window, otherwise, I couldn't even walk around. "It was a Western-style room with a balcony, a view of the ocean in the distance, and a pleasant breeze from outside. I chose the two-meal plan, and the variety, presentation, and quality of both dinner and breakfast were so good that I wanted to try a little bit of everything. I'd definitely like to return. The large public bath was smaller than I expected, and the steam sauna I was looking forward to was out of order, so I couldn't use it, but they did provide ice cream and haskap water for after my bath, which were delicious. There were only two elevators, so it was sometimes difficult to use them during check-in and check-out. However, the elevators were on separate routes to the front desk, restaurant, and bath, so it was easy to get around. In the evening, I enjoyed playing table tennis (1,100 yen per hour)."
