Hotel staff were all wonderful and pleasant to speak with. Room was well stocked with various amenities and utilities. Unusual aesthetic- I’d describe it as highly feminine Parisian kitsch - furnishing is old but fully functional and very clean. Staff certainly know enough English to get you to your room and explain the utilities, and are patient and understanding. Location is excellent too - short walk from Hakodate JR station. 👍

The kids were making a lot of noise. Please walk a little quieter... Also, I don't really like mixed bathing...

The room is clean. The bosses are friendly.

I spent one night only at the accomodation but wished I could have stayed longer. The host provided a detailed description in advanve of how to reach the property. The location is excellent, only about 5 min walking distance from Hakodate Station. As soon as I stepped into the inn, I felt right at home. The host was very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and there was everything I needed and the bath was so relaxing. If I'm ever back in Hakodate, I'll definitely stay at Pension Puppy Tail again. Thank you for everything!

Stayed here one night, on my way from Hokkaido to the festival in Aomori. The hotel is about 5-10 minute walk from the train station. The stay was quite satisfactory. Nothing fancy, but clean and adequate.

This is very nice character property with very nice owner and staff. Easy access to rail or tram, market, red brick warehouse.

It was great, the people were nice and my dad and I enjoyed staying in the more traditional Japanese style room

The place has a very homely atmosphere. Depending on the type of room you get, the room experience will differ. The rooms are upstairs and this building does not have a lift. Really liked the manner the guests are treated as friends by the staff. On the day we arrived, a staff member cleaned the wheels of our luggage before we carried them to the room. When we returned from a rainy day's outing, another staff member dried our shoes overnight. The little touches made the stay a very pleasant one.

Walking distance about 15min from Hakodate JR station. We slept 1st night at futton room for 3 people with sharing bathroom. Amazingly clean and comfortable. The other 2 nights we uograded to futton room with attach bathroom for convenience. Very nice place to stay and the owner ( couple) are very kind. Very recommended place to stay.
