Hotel located at the transportation hub where Jr train and bus station and tram line was just across the road. Good size of room and bathroom for Japanese standard. I enjoyed the sunset with good view. Public bath was clean and good. Breakfast has good varieties. Only feedback is internet is slightly slow.Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Picked this hotel a it was very close to the station and so easy to get to while dragging bags. Also very convenient for the central Hakodate facilities and shops. The hotel was typical of city centre, budget types i.e. rooms on the smaller side, but the service, cleanliness and value for money can't be faulted plus there was a very reasonable free breakfast. Wouldn't hesitate to use agin if back in Hakodate.

Hotel is directly across the street from the JR Hakodate train station and from the Hakodate morning market/right along the coast shoreline (see photo). Great location if you are arriving late or leaving early and still want to experience some of the town.
Room amenities were very generous, they had a huge selection of free teas in the lobby. Along with complimentary afternoon coffee and coco.

I used JR INN for the first time. JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo has used it. I stayed at a railway hotel for railway fans, but I was impressed this time. From the single room I stayed in, you can see all the vehicles coming in from the top of Hakodate Station platform. If you thought you could see Twilight Express and Hokuto Star in the time of running on the bed, Cassiopeia came in. In addition, the timetable is posted on the top floor bath, and the train is seen while bathing. There are many books related to the railway in the rest place, and you can know the history of the railway in Hokkaido. At the entrance of the hotel, there is a head mark such as Hokuto star, and the track is drawn on the floor, and it is a hotel that is not able to be caught in the railway mania from the moment when it enters. It is conveniently located in front of the station or in the station, and from the opposite room, Hakodate mountain can be seen, and I thought it was a good hotel other than railway fans.

One of the favourites hotel stay in Hokkaido for our family! The hotel is small but very neat and clean. We are a family of 5 and we loved the layout and the modern design of the room. The staff were very friendly. We managed to choose one of the shops at the seafood market for our breakfast. We will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.

It was easy to check in immediately after arriving because it was easy to arrive in the morning city by 2 minutes walk from JR Hakodate Station. There are many restaurants around and it is convenient during your stay. Personally, there are reasonable Hakodate gourmet shops such as Rappi, Hasest, and 500 yen bowls, and it seems that there is no problem even if you stay for about １ weeks. It is within walking distance to the center of sightseeing, and I think that you can go around enough in half a day except for meals. I was happy with ”squid salty” for breakfast.

We stayed at Century Marina for our first night in Hokkaido and originally chose it for its proximity to most of the sites we wanted to see in Hakodate. It's just a few minute walk from the train station with plenty of sidewalks so pulling our suitcases was no issue. The hotel also has a large parking lot if you choose to drive. It's also just a few minute walk from the warehouse district and the older area up the hill where a lot of historical embassies and churches are. The hotel's breakfast buffet is an experience itself with an extensive spread of both Japanese and Western food options. You will reserve a time slot when checking in, but even then you should expect a 10-20 minute wait in the morning to get your table, so its best to go up before your reserved time. This hotel also has one of the best rooftop onsen I've seen, with wonderful views of the whole marina and hill. When booking I didn't realize there was a hot springs so this was a nice surprise. Our room was right next to the elevator but very quiet and clean. This is a newer hotel too so everything felt very fresh and well-maintained. We checked in using Japanese, but the hotel has check-in info packets and signs in English so this is a good option for non-Japanese speaking guests as well.

I used it for the first time. A luxury hotel, breakfast is a special mention! We chose Japanese food in Azeria for the first night １ and Matsumae for the second night. At the buffet, there was a heap of salmon roe that I had never seen before, and I was able to make a super gorgeous seafood bowl, which was really amazing. ２ Matsumae on the night was also a very nice set, and I chose the salmon roe set, but this is also super satisfying. My friend was Hitsumabushi set, which looked very delicious! The room was large and well maintained, and it was good because it had a long-established style plus modern functionality.

This was the perfect location to stay overnight on our trip between Asahikawa and Tokyo. We had travelled by train from Sapporo and were switching to the Shinkansen at Shin Hakodate Hokuto. We had booked a room with two beds which turned out to be either double or queen. We also hadn't realised that the hotel has an onsen, so this was a particularly nice surprise. The beds were good, and the Japanese style pillows were okay, too - sometimes they can be a bit hard, or too fat. The hotel is clean and modern with nice toiletries and yukata supplied. The only slight disappointment was that the restaurant was closed on the night we stayed (a Friday), but there is a Ramen restaurant downstairs in an adjacent shopping area, and this was fine.

GGuest UserWhat an amazing hotel HakoBA Hakodate is. It is located in the old Fuji Bank building which gives it a unique character. They have done an amazing job updating the interior making it look modern yet still letting the character of the building shine through, awesome! Staff at reception were super friendly and helped us with lots of recommendations, like food and drink, and helped us with the public transport 1-day pass which you can buy here. There's also a cool little shop in the reception area selling local gifts. The room was really nice and we were lucky they gave us a room on the top floor which meant the room had really high ceilings and amazing details on the ceiling. Bathroom was pretty large, very modern and clean. Location wise this hotel is perfect. It is a 20 minute walk from the station but well connected to other public transport like buses and the city tram system. Located in the middle of the redbrick warehouse area of Hakodate there's plenty of shopping and restaurants around. Ideal for exploring this amazing city. Highly recommend staying here!

Place looks very clean and not old at all even though its 50 years old. Onsen had indoor and outdoor. The area is not big, just a standard onsen. Place is not very touristy, more of locals who visit the place. Quiet and cosy, away from city life. Near the residential area which is quiet. After dinner, they help to arrange the futon for us :) Room was VERY BIGGG Breakfast had some repeated dishes and was not as amazing as dinner, but overall still a good stay.

Water, hass cup juice, and ice cream were placed free of charge at the bath, so I got ice cream (I was warned that there were a lot of people bringing back to the room). Dinner was late, but the food was insufficient There was no such thing as doing it, but there was a time limit of 90 minutes after entering. Sushi, steak, tempura, grilled food, sashimi, etc. were lined up (it seems that sashimi can be made into a seafood bowl). There are udon noodles and soba noodles, and the curry udon made from kake soba and curry udon was said to be curry from Gotoken, so I asked for it and ate it (it was delicious), and the craftsman held the sushi. There weren't many types, but it was delicious, the steak was small and cut, but it was soft and delicious, and the dessert was ice cream, cakes, fruits, etc. Ice cream made by myself in Thailand. We decided this trip will be a trip to enjoy some onsen (hot springs bath) and to see some fall foliage in colors. We picked Hakodate for onsen. This hotel offers in room open air bath tub on the balcony with a 180 degree ocean view!! Our activities were focused on taking onsen and having great food at the hotel buffet restaurant. After a great onsen bath, we wore the clothing they provided to us to the restaurant, very layback and relaxing!! There were many families, old and very young at the hotel over the weekend. So we think families take short vacations here. Strongly recommend to add Hakodate and this hotel to be part of your tour in Japan !

AAKITA SAGAWABREAKFAST WAS FULLY CROWDED IN LINE, THAN THE GUEST WHO WERE INSIDE ALREADY IN THE BUFFET .THERE WERE VACANT TABLES, THEY SHOULD LET US ENTER AND WE WILL FIND OUR OWN TABLE.SUCH A WASTED TIME FORMING A LONG ,LONG LINE JUST TO GET THE ENTRANCE CARD .UNLIKE AT HAKODATE KOKUSAI HOTEL NEARBY,THERE WERE SO MANY GUESTS COMPARE TO LA VISTA ,AS A GUESTS WE DIDNT FORM A LINE AND JUST ENTER SMOOTHLY AND FREELY WITHOUT THOSE ENTRANCE CARD FOR BUFFET.JUST ONLY YOUR RM.NO.CARD CASE ,SHOW TO THE RESTAURANT STAFF AND YOU CAN PASS EASILY.AT NIGHT I ATE AJISAI RAMEN BESIDES LA VISTA HOTEL .AND PLANNED TO GO TO THE BAR JUST TO ENJOY THE VIEEW AND DRINK SOME HOT COFFEE AND PERRIER.BAR CLOSED AT 24:30AM WAS STATED IN THE QR CODE .I ARRIVED AT THE BAR 23:45PM .THE BAR WAS ALREADY CLOSED 23:30PM ONE HR.AHEAD OF THE TIME .THE BAR TENDER SEND TO ME SORRY WE WERE CLOSED ALREADY.WHHAAT,!THEN I WENT TO THE FRONT DESK AND TOLD HIM WHAT HAD HAPPENED .AND TOLD HIM WHATS THE USE OF LETTING US ACCESS TO YOUR QR CODE HOTEL LA VISTA INFORMATION , YOU MUST ALSO SEE TO IT THAT YOUR QR CODE IS UPDATED, THIS HOTEL IS A LIE.I WONT RECOMMEND THIS TO MY FAMILY OR CLOSE FRIENDS.WORST .DISMAYED

GGuest UserIt was comfortable. It was really comfortable already. I visited the south side based in Hakodate City, but I used it at that time. At first, I was worried because the price was too cheap, but when I stayed, it was very comfortable rather than no problem. The salty breakfast is very recommended. Also, I was very satisfied with the curry on Sunday morning. It is within walking distance from Hakodate Station and the parking lot was also able to stop with a roof. It may be recommended for motorcycles and bicycles. Thank you so much for your help. I'll come again!

GGuest UserFirst of all, the location is perfect. 3 minutes walk from Hakodate Station. There is a Max Value nearby and a tram station passes right in front of you.
The overall disadvantage is that it is old, but we are putting a lot of effort into overcoming it.
Representatively, there is a modern, remodeled lounge on the first floor. The lounge design itself is nice, and the drink bar, which provides free coffee, tea, and water, is open until 10 p.m.
Another advantage is the breakfast, which is expensive at 2,000 yen (300 yen less if you book in advance the day before), but you can make your own kaisendon and eat it, and best of all, you can enjoy the view of Hakodate Bay from the top floor of the hotel.
The view is well worth it.
Also, there is a bar on the top floor where breakfast was served from 10 PM to 1 PM, and it boasts a reasonable price of 1,100 yen for a cocktail and a light snack.
It's run by an old bartender. If the advantage of the breakfast restaurant was the daytime view, the advantage of this place is that you can enjoy the view at night.
The downside is that currently, for environmental protection reasons, room cleaning is not provided and only water and towels are exchanged, but since I didn't stay in Hakodate for a long time, it didn't matter.
There are things to like and dislike, but for me it was the best hotel.

GGuest UserThe place has a very homely atmosphere. Depending on the type of room you get, the room experience will differ. The rooms are upstairs and this building does not have a lift. Really liked the manner the guests are treated as friends by the staff. On the day we arrived, a staff member cleaned the wheels of our luggage before we carried them to the room. When we returned from a rainy day's outing, another staff member dried our shoes overnight. The little touches made the stay a very pleasant one.

GGuest UserI had a comfortable stay. The location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation. However, the toilet was small, and there was no beverage corner for a quick refreshments. Family mart, sushi restaurant, ramen shop and cafe are conveniently located next to hotel within 5 to 10 minutes walk.
