Super nice location with free shuttle bus to the pier. You may also easily get to Heiwa No Torii within 5 minutes walk and skip the long queue for the photos if getting there early or very late.

I had the lake view from my hotel room. The service was great, the food was amazing and it's within walking distance to Hakone Shrine. The hotel also have a shuttle bus going to and from Motohakone-ko, which is convenient. A pleasant experience overall and would defininely love to be back.

The best hotel I have ever stayed. Perfect accommodation, nice meals and above all, an excellent view of Mt Fuji! Can’t ask for more!

Outstanding service and amenities. Great easy location. The shuttle from Motohakone is free and quite frequent, very handy. Lovely staff and relaxing onsen. The restaurants too we very tasty.

The service is very good. We supposed to arrive at 7:30 for dinner at the hotel but we were late. The hotel helped us to get room service for the delay and food are traditional Japanese dishes. Hot and warm. A very nice garden which can see the Fujit mountain.

Location a bit bar but fantastic service - you can expect a traditional Japanese hotel with top-notch Japanese hospitality. Location would be a considering factor if you are looking to stay near Lake Ashi and there are no uber/rare taxi service after 5PM.

The dining service is excellent, better to choose the Japanese dinner (Kaiseki is served) and breakfast to experience the Japanese cuisine traditions. Besides, the hotel is near the Hakone Jinjya Heiwa-no-Torii and The Hakone Shrine, it does not take you long to walk to there and take photos there easily without lining up. Also, there is a direct bus to get to Gotemba Bus station for interchange of bus to lake kawaguchi.

A great experience! It is a hotel with high standards. When I booked it, I saw that I could see Mount Fuji and take a hot spring bath in the hotel. The hotel front desk will give detailed information on where to take a hot spring bath, where to have breakfast, where the beverage vending machine is, etc., and will also give detailed information on the precautions for taking a hot spring bath. (English service) Unlike in China, you have to take a hot spring bath here naked. You can wear the Japanese pajamas provided by the hotel, then take off your clothes and put them in the closet, and then take a naked bath. Girls with long hair should tie it up. Rubber bands, facial oil and other disposable items are provided outside the hot spring pool (take them as needed). Take a shower first, then soak after washing clean. You have to soak in the outdoor one, the temperature is just right. There is also a sauna room indoors, but I can't stand it after steaming for two minutes. It's too hot. After soaking, you can eat a popsicle, which is very comfortable. You can take as much as you want. There is no freezer in the refrigerator in the room, so it can't be stored. We saw Mount Fuji at 8 o'clock in the morning at the hotel observation deck, but the observation deck has glass, so the photos are not very clear (Figure 1). Afterwards, we went to have breakfast. After breakfast, we found that we could also see Mount Fuji in the hotel garden at 9 o'clock (Figure 2), but it was already surrounded by clouds and mist, and we couldn't see that it was Mount Fuji. The azaleas bloom in May, the garden is very beautiful, and if the weather is good, you can even see Mount Fuji. The hotel room is large and clean. You can see Lake Ashi and is very close to Hakone Shrine. Highly recommended!

This hotel is in a good location on Lake Ashi, right by the lake, close to the shrine torii ~ where many people line up to take pictures. There is a special pier for this hotel by the lake, with many rooms. Most of the rooms can see Mount Fuji. It is very eye-catching to see this hotel on the pirate ship on Lake Ashi. The private bath is also very good. The ladies are on the third floor. There are indoor and outdoor hot springs. If you are on vacation here, it is very pleasant. If you are traveling, it seems a bit hasty. I was tired and came back without the energy to take a bath. I only took a bath once after staying for two nights. The Japanese breakfast is very rich. There are so many large and small bowls and plates that I was amazed. I actually ate them all! So I chose Japanese breakfast on the second day, but I didn’t expect it to be exactly the same. If I had known, I might have chosen French breakfast on the second day. But it’s okay. After all, such a rich and classic Japanese breakfast is rare to enjoy. The bus arrives opposite the Moto-Hakone Port Station and there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel. It stops at parking space No. 7 and goes back and forth every 20 minutes. The bus leaving the hotel in the direction of Taohuayuan will bend to the hotel entrance, which is very convenient. The front desk service is very thoughtful. There are Chinese waitresses during the day, which makes communication more friendly. As a flower lover, what attracted me to book this hotel the most was the large azalea garden. According to the comments, it is estimated that it will bloom in April and May. I stayed from April 8 to 10, and the azalea balls were just budding. There are really many varieties, and the diameter of the flower balls is mostly two or three meters. It is estimated that it will start to bloom around May 1st. If I come again next time, I will definitely choose the season when the azaleas bloom~

You can go to Taoyuan or return to Hakone Yumoto, and then transfer to Ole, Lake or return to Tokyo. When searching for Hakone hotels, it is easy to be attracted by the garden of Odakyu Hotel de Yama. There are many things I like about staying here, but there are also regrets. But as a person who started from China and is not familiar with Japan, I have learned less information before. So I share it here for fellow travelers. First of all, let me talk about what to pay attention to 1. [I thought it was the most important before going], the hotel garden only blooms around 5/1-10. The flowering period may cover the whole of May. There are more than 60 varieties of flowers, which should be beautiful when they are in full bloom. The garden is very large, and there are actually beautiful views at other times. If you have the right expectations, you may not regret it. 2. April itself has a lot of rain, so you may not be able to see Mount Fuji. 3. [Now thinking back on the most important thing] The hotel has a shuttle bus to and from Moto-Hakone Port, which should be Platform 6. There is a timetable on the platform sign. If you need it outside this time, you can call the front desk to call a taxi (there is a coin-operated phone at the entrance of 7/11 opposite). We didn't know it before, and we walked to the hotel stupidly. The road is narrow and inconvenient. 4. If you are new to Hakone, it may be more convenient to stay in Hakone Yumoto or Luoqiang. The road from Luoqiang to Lake Ashi is not easy to walk. We did not check in other areas this time, just soaked by the lake. There are almost no restaurants open in the Lake Ashi area at night, and you basically have to eat in the hotel. Others: The hotel was built by a member of the Mitsubishi family (the founder's nephew? He also has a baron title), and the decoration and service are quite old-money. Many staff members do not know English, but there must be someone in the area, and they can express their demands clearly and provide good service. The breakfast is good, the hot spring is not big but not crowded. Overall, it is a very relaxing living experience. Although there are regrets, I am still happy.

The azaleas are only visible in May, and you can see the hotel cover photo. This hotel fully expresses the "hypocritical courtesy" of the Japanese. They look polite, but they are just going through the motions, and there is not even a micro-expression on their faces. There is an outdoor hot spring, and ice cream is provided after the bath. The hot spring facilities are very good. There are two types of breakfast, Japanese and Western. The Japanese style is rice + a piece of salted fish, plus a few side dishes. Their salted fish is a bit delicious.
