The hotel is really nice up in the hills, that can be a downside to having to commute through bus or taxi because the nearest convenience store is a 30min walk. Plus it’s an uphill inclined walk to get there too if your taking the bus. Overall nice stay though.

As long as it is not the peak tourist season, almost no one will compete with you for the baths here. It feels good to take a bath alone, and the house is large, suitable for large families and groups of friends. The view from the balcony is also good, and there are enough daily necessities such as pots and pans, making it suitable for long-term living. The disadvantage is that some facilities are old and the place is remote. Only one bus can reach it, and you have to climb a 2-kilometer mountain road. It is recommended to drive. All in all, it is a cost-effective hotel with good quality and low price except that there is basically nothing wrong with it.

I took the Hakone Tour Bus and got off at Kotsuka. I had to go up a steep hill and almost exhausted myself from dragging my suitcase. There were no supermarkets nearby, so it was best to drive. The hotel was quite big and nice.
