Fantastic service at this beautiful resort right at the foot of the mountain. We got the in room bath and it was well worth the cost.

Little far from train station, but hotel offer free shuttle bus if you request or certain time. From hotel, they offer shuttle bus to go to hakone Yumoto train station. I had problem to book to add children to stay at website. But hotel staffs helped me to fix this issue. We enjoyed staying this hotel.

Stay at Okada at least 10x and always great now I had new upgraded room with WiFi and flat screen tv. Food and Onsen always fantastic

Booked the Suisai room with open air bath for my family of 4. Very spacious and clean room. Liked the open air bath very much, which allowed private onsen usage with outside scenery view. My package included buffet dinner and breakfast. The buffet dinner had plenty of variety, with good quality and taste. Liked the grilled beef steak, tempura, oyster with cheese, Japanese style stew pork, stew beef, nabe etc. The hotel has 2 onsen, the one in the main building has a big indoor pool, whereas the other in a separate building 3 mins away has a well landscaped outdoor onsen. Staff are very courteous and helpful. Feel free to ask and they will help. The hotel is a distance away from Yumoto station. There is a shuttle bus A10 from/to Yumoto station, do check out hotel website for the shuttle bus timing. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to those visiting Hakone.

I paid over HKD4000 per night for the upper Japanese tatami room, my experience has been unsatisfactory given the high price point. It is highly overrated and not worth the price at all. There was an unpleasant odour in the room, no air-conditioning and food is average.

Go to a high place, in a natural environment, there is no human habitation in sight, only green mountains, and listen to the sound of rain under the shed, which is very beautiful. The only drawback is that the last 1.5 kilometers from the bus station to the hotel are not very convenient, especially for the first time. It's a bit hard to walk up by yourself if you carry a large luggage. When I left the next morning, I found out that there is actually a rural bus, and it's no problem to take the bus out

Important things to say three times: The staff with master keys in this hotel are thieves!!! This hotel has a weird rule that breakfast must be booked. We made an appointment to have breakfast at the restaurant at 8:20, because we would check out after breakfast. We packed our luggage and went to the restaurant with only the room key. We did not bring a small bag with us (usually we carry it with us) which contained my passport and wallet... There was not much cash in the wallet, more than 30,000. I clearly remember that there were 2 10,000 bills, 1 5,000 bills, and 6 1,000 bills... After dinner, we checked out and went to the station, because we took the train to Osaka and could not use Suica cards You have to buy tickets on site and the ticket price is not cheap, 25,800 yen for two people. When buying tickets, I found that there was only 21,000 yen in my wallet, not enough to buy tickets, so I had to swipe my card... How did I check on the train and find that a 10,000 yen bill was missing? After reviewing, I found that there was only 30 minutes for breakfast. My bag was on the coffee table at the entrance of the room. We went to have breakfast at 8:20. We were confirmed to be in the restaurant for 30 minutes. Employees with master keys can enter the room. Generally, petty thieves dare not steal wallets or steal too much money. They will take one or two bills. I am really sorry to the thief. I don’t have that much cash. There are only two 10,000 bills, so I can only take one! ! ! If I didn’t have enough money to buy train tickets, I might not have found it! ! ! ! Although the money is not much, stealing is stealing. In particular, I found a comment in September 2023, in which the friend lost 100,000 yuan in cash. We also lived in a high-rise Japanese-style room... This hotel has inconvenient transportation, average service and hygiene, and even lost money, which made me re-evaluate my travel in Japan... Follow-up: The next morning, I contacted the hotel by phone to explain the situation. The hotel promised to investigate and reply later. There was no news until the afternoon. At 7 pm, they replied to the email: They only emphasized that the master key was kept at the front desk during our breakfast time, and said that if we want to enter the room, only we have the key! It makes people feel speechless! Is there only one master key? ! So I replied to the email: asking if the hotel can investigate the surveillance in the corridor. It took a total of half an hour, and there was no reply from the hotel since then! Another day: Ctrip platform continued to communicate with the hotel, and the reply I got was that the hotel did not have surveillance, and expressed that surveillance was private and could not be viewed (so I think there must be surveillance, but it was not checked or the problem was not reported). In the end, the matter was left unresolved by the hotel! In addition, Ctrip platform actively assisted in communication and did its best. Thank you very much!

The hotel is a bit old, but it is very clean and the service is quite satisfactory. There are cherry blossoms outside. When using Fukushima rice in restaurants, be careful to avoid pitfalls. But other dishes are good and suitable for large families.

The hot spring experience was pretty good, but the dinner and breakfast included in the room were a bit disappointing. The hygiene was only given 3 points because the toilet in the room had a very obvious smell. I hope it can be improved.
