Yumoto Fujiya Hotel Reviews

I had a very nice and decent experience staying at Yumoto Fujiya Hotel. Not only was it near the Yumoto station, it was also with numerous choices of restaurants where you could enjoy lunches / dinners. It was particular meaningful to me as you can rarely see restaurants opened outside after 6pm, and i was super hungry at that time. But it’s better to reserve earlier if you decide to have dinner inside the hotel. The room was clean, though not spacious enough (but it’s very common in Japan). The onsen was also nice which opened until 1am at night. Overall, it was a great experience.

The hotel is located just next to the hakone station. I received a free room upgrade from the hotel. The room was big and comfortable.

First and foremost, the hotel is just a road across the Yumoto station and bus stations towards all places in Hakone and is extremely convenient! The service was excellent and took my request in swift and prompt response. There is even a souvenir shop that gathers almost all kinds of souvenirs of the area. You can pay a little more to book a private onsen bath for yourself or your family. Will visit again if I come back to Hakone again.

Location was great, just behind the train station. Room was huge and spacious with dining area. Did not book with meals, counter staff first said we can walk in to Japanese restaurant without booking for dinner, other restaurants require reservation. When we returned in the evening, manager insisted all restaurants require reservation and Japanese restaurant was not open, only Chinese restaurant available. Unfortunately whole hakone was almost closed by 5pm, no choice but to take the Chinese food. Booked private onsen with counter, staff at onsen counter had wrong rates and took a while to clarify, seems like half the staff were confused with inaccurate info. Ofher than that, overall one night stay was pleasant, left my milk bottle there and they promptly forwarded to my next hotel upon request. Much appreciated!

The staff including the manager are very nice and helpful. They are enthusiastic to help. I have very good experience here. The place is clean and just near the train station. I will sure come again

This hotel is in ideal location for an overnight in the Hakone area. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. The room was really large and amenities were plentiful.

Very spacious room with lovely views over the river. Very handily located for Yumoto station and the bus stops. Friendly staff also.

Was fine, clean but old. Onsen was nice, they have a detailed guide for stupid tourists like us who tried it for the first time. Location is perfect, 2 mins from train station, 5 mins from restaurants and supermarkets.
