Great location. Just right in front of the Gora station and bus stops are just right outside the hotel. Very convenient location to every parts of hakone. The furnishing in the room and hotel seem old but cleanliness wise is acceptable though not fantastic in Japanese standard. We purchased the dinner as there are no restaurants open past 8pm except restaurant in hotels. JPY3800 per pax is considered expensive as the quality of food is just so so but some alcohol drinks are provided. May be that’s the reason for this price

Just right next to one of the most popular train station, 5 minutes walk. However, there were quite some noises from the trains (despite not as frequent as the daytime) and you definitely need the ear plugs at the concierge.

The hotel is right beside Gora train station hence it is very convenient. However the downside is that the trains are noisy in the morning. We were also disturbed by the drilling when the workers did track maintenance at midnight. Though it wasn’t too loud like at the construction site, it may be loud enough to interrupt sleep as we opened the window to let some cold air in. There was only heated air in the room. The room is dated but clean and ok to stay for 1 night. Breakfast buffet had enough variety of Japanese and western food. The hotel reception provided excellent service and advice for options as my plans to take the ropeway was disrupted due to strong winds.

On the website it said all children are welcome to stay in the hotel, one child per room is free, but when I got there they charged me an extra 22usd for my daughter of 3 years old to stay in the same room and she couldn't enjoy bath, not even private.

Hotels in Hakone seem to have more family rooms, and those with hot springs are too expensive and may not be suitable for single people. This hotel is more suitable for single people, and you can book a private hot spring plus dinner. Except for the old facilities and the smell of aging facilities in the room, everything else is satisfactory.

Only for meals, if you don't patronize the hotel, you have no choice. , so the Gora location must be inferior to Hakone Yumoto.

I stayed for two consecutive nights, and I booked the two nights separately. It's so close to the station and just cross the railway, it's really convenient; it's recommended to eat the meals inside, it's cheap! Recommended to friends who come to Gora!
