Hotel Saurabh Candy by Peppermint

Not a good stay. Smelly rooms. Average restaurant. Bathroom hygiene was poor. Won’t recommend for future stays

Saurabh is perhaps the largest hotel in haldwani. It was born 30 years ago in style. Much of that style remains. I stayed for a night and enjoyed the place. Especially the beautiful landscaping on the second floor. We booked through make my trip with a dinner and breakfast included. We were told that there is no buffet or thali system. One can order a-la-carte. When i ordered mutton biryani at the restaurant, the server said he can serve only chicken biryani in this package. When i asked whether it was possible to pay the difference of price between mutton biryani and chicken biryani, the server said if mutton biryani is ordered, full payment will be charged for this dish. Writing this to let the management know. Whether the management make this adjustment, may be helpful for other guests too. Overall i liked the place. They are required to do better supervision in housekeeping

The rooms were dirty, ac duct was broken and leaking water. Mattress was not of a good condition. Hotel needs to improve their services.

Location is very good. Food was very good. Rooms are not maintained with toilet flush not functioning, no towels, furniture in room dirty. Had only 1 tea mug & 1 glass for 2 persons. Sub standard room. Have stayed here several times in last 8 years but this time was not a great experience.

The hotel is in the prime location and easily accessible. Rooms are pretty spacious but the totally lack cleanliness. As we entered the room there were hairs on toilet seat and sheets were old and very rough. Overall we were not satisfied with the hygiene.
