Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with my stay at the Alte Wache Hotel. I had to wait a long time to check in, even though there were hardly any other guests - an unnecessarily bad start.
The area around the hotel is also not inviting, as there are a lot of people there who are obviously taking *****. It didn't feel safe or pleasant.
In addition, the hotel's furnishings are extremely outdated and in dire need of renovation.
All in all, I would not recommend the hotel if you are looking for comfort and a pleasant atmosphere.

The location is perfect next to the bus station, close to the main train station and the city center. There are also several grocery stores within walking distance. The room is not luxurious, but is fine for an overnight stay. The carpet was a bit dirty. The quality of the breakfast buffet left something to be desired. The staff at the reception was very friendly. Unfortunately, our announced request for an earlier check-in was not met.
