A nice hotel with a great location, just minutes away from train street. Staff is very helpful, spa is amazing and they provide a nice breakfast. The only issue would be the lack of soundproofing in the bedrooms.

Clean, modern hotel in great location, ideally placed just a few minutes walk from Hoan Kiem lake, the old quarter and Hanoi train street. Staff were all very attentive and provided great service. Breakfast was good mix of western and Asian dishes. Rooftop bar and pool was a nice spot to relax. AC in rooms excellent!

The location of the hotel is good. Walking distance to the atm, restaurants and shops. The hotel is clean and the service was good. The rooftop bar and pool area is amazing. Here you can see views of the city from the pool. There is a spa on the ground floor that has some good packages.

I stayed at the hotel with my wife and daughter from September 12th to September 16th.
First, I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff at the hotel.
1. All the staff at the hotel are so friendly and ready to help you.
2. If the condition of the hotel room was very good, it was clean and well organized.
3. There were many kinds of breakfast and it was delicious and clean.
4. The gym and swimming pool in the hotel are small, but there was no inconvenience to use and they are well organized.
5. The location of the hotel is also very good for sightseeing and you can walk anywhere.
6. If you are planning to tour Halong Bay, you can get more information by asking the hotel's front desk rather than outside travel agencies. I actually used the service recommended by the hotel, and I was very satisfied.

Pros:
-Incredibly helpful reception staff
-Clean room and nice bathroom
-Good spa
-Good location
Cons:
-Dirty sheets. Repeatedly found stains and hairs on bed sheets even after reporting this to staff.
-Loud cleaners - woken up every day at 8:15am by cleaners outside the room. Continued to shout loudly even after being asked to quiet down.
-Breakfast food mostly finished by 9am
-Old, thin towels
-Difficult location for taxis to pick up/drop off - very busy road outside
Overall, I would not stay here again

The location is good, in the old town and also restaurants, foods around. Comparing with other hotel, it is new. But the hot water pressure is not stable. And there was blood on one of the bed sheet while checking in. After telling the receptionist, the bed sheet had been changed within 20min.

Nice location in the old town, rooms are new but small and a bit cramped. Good service at the front desk, helpful with booking tours or taxi to the airport. Price is really good if you think about it. Be careful not to mix it up with the other la siesta hotel in the old quarter in Hanoi, which is actually better if you want to pay a little more.

It's a bit difficult to find hotels in the old quarter that don't have ants in the room but Soleil is one of them. I stayed in deluxe and executive suits. They were both clean. The executive room is very spacious. The staff are helpful. Breakfast is good. There is a nice spa with a discount for people staying at the hotel. Like the other hotels you can book day trips or overnight trips at Soleil. I will recommend it to my friends for sure.

I enjoyed my stay at the Soleil. For context, I love to walk and randomly explore when on vacation. The location of the Soleil in the Old Quarter is great. It's within a 20 minute walk to Dong Xuan, the night market and the lake. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, especially at breakfast. The variety of food, both Vietnamese and Western, at breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfortable, and they had a couple of different pillow types to choose from.
A couple of things to note about the amenities. Both the pool and the gym are more check box amenities than usable ones. The pool is very small. When I went to check it out, there were eight people there and it was too crowded to find a place to sit. As the person at reception embarassingly noted when I asked, the gym is "very basic", ie a couple of pieces of cardio equipment and some dumbbells crammed into a small room. These things didn't matter to me as I was there to explore.
One factor that did cause me to rate this hotel a 4 instead of a 5 is that my window faced a white wall that was two feet away...hahaha. I'm sure that's not uncommon with how tightly spaced the buildings are in the Old Quarter. It's just not a huge positive...lol
