We were only able to stay in the lobby while we were waiting for our tour to Ninh Binh. Both staff members were welcoming and helpful. Their sofa was soft, which allowed us to relax as we were all tired from coming from Sa Pa.
When we returned from our tour and it was time for our check-in, a new receptionist greeted us. However, we were unable to check in as the room we were supposed to get was still occupied because the guest got sick and had to extend their stay. They were fully booked.
They did arrange for our transfer to their sister hotel (Rising Dragon Estate) near the Train Street. We could literally see the cafes and the train from the balcony.
My rating is based solely on the cleanliness of the lobby area as well as the amenities. It would have been nice if we were able to stay there, but everything was arranged smoothly and we didn't have to pay anything extra. Plus, the staff at the Rising Dragon were also accommodating and friendly.
