The Mantissa Hotel

A great deal and large room. The roof top bar was a relaxing experience. I would recommend the hotel.

The Room was amazing, the staff was incredibly accommodating, and the rooftop bar where I had my party was everything I needed and expected! the only thing that needs to be addressed immediately is the HORRIBLE and significantly subpar breakfast. What an insult and lack of awareness. It was atrociously disgusting. Sunny delight for the orange juice a stale muffin and it seems like a 5-year-old granola bar along with an apple...are you kidding me?

It says free breakfast but they don’t have it anymore. Nice room but little water pressure in shower.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Easy access to all of hartsville. Sleep number beds (they work but you have to figure it out). Staff was so wonderful. Will definitely stay here again

Very nice hotel in a quaint setting. Charming and comfortable, it was a nice surprise in Hartsville while visiting nearby Coker University. I would absolutely stay here anytime I am in the area.

This is a great spot in the little town of Hartsville! Our classic King suite was very spacious and we enjoyed having a full kitchen (minus dishwasher) and separate bedroom. The staff were pleasant but Darnell went above and beyond in customer service. He definitely made our trip more enjoyable with his friendly demeanor and southern charm. My husband liked the computer work station on the second floor. There are definitely plenty of food spots within walking distance of this location. The continental food boxes had some great snacks items for our son. We would definitely stay here again when visiting family.

Lived in Hartsville for many years. When I had to return for family reasons I looked at the different hotels in town (not a big selection). For $20 more a night I said sure let’s give this unique hotel a try. The good: beautiful hotel and the front desk staff was very nice. The rooms was very nice looking and very spacious (main reason for booking). The bathroom was huge. Now the bad: for those with sensitivities to smells you must avoid this hotel. All through the lobby and hallways it smelled of some type of fragrance not bad, just very overwhelming. There wasn’t a comfortable spot in the entire room to sit. Their Sleep Number beds are highly advertised, those were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever laid on. The two sides were never the same, even after spending an hour trying to set them, when they worked. The couch/sleeper was cheap pleather and hard as a rock and the barstools were sketchy. Every sound echoed in these rooms, the tv in the living room was just as loud in the bedroom. That echo, well our second night we found out how much our neighbors room echoed too. From 11:30 - 1:00am I could actually hear the beer cans open. They weren’t extremely loud but easily heard thru the walls. The ‘boxed’ continental breakfast, was never mentioned at check in. The lights were minimalist it seemed. The window coverings were a nice looking shutter style on a swinging door. The shutter in the bedroom was broken and wouldn’t adjust the door in the living room didn’t align to completely shut without lifting on it. No blackout curtains, so guess what you got up with the sunrise. Some of these things can be overlooked depending on the type of hotel you stay at. For $450 for two nights I expect more, a lot more.
