Ce lodge a beaucoup de charme, il ne ressemble à aucun autre ; chaque chambre est décorée différemment et avec goût. Nous avions une chambre familiale avec une très belle superficie, nous n’étions pas les uns sur les autres. La piscine dans la roche est très sympa ainsi que l’extérieur et le tout au calme. Parking gardés par des vigiles la nuit, donc très sécurisant. Nous avons également dîné au restaurant, qui est très bien. Joan de l’accueil a été d’une aide précieuse pendant notre séjour, sa gentillesse et ses bons conseils sont indéniablement un plus pour cet établissement .

Nice small lodge located in the middle of the bush. Staff are very friendly, they immediately assisted by a wasp sting. We had the room upstairs, the honeymoon sweet and it was lovely. It was however quite hot and the fan didn’t really work well, needs to be replaced I think. Loved the bath, very relaxing. Food was great, we chose the traditional African bobotie, delicious! Breakfast we didn’t have because we left very early. WiFi was very good.

Fantastische plaats met fantastische mensen die je graag alles vertellen over Zuid-Afrika en haar kansen en problemen. We waren bijzonder goed ontvangen en ondanks dat het laagseizoen is, enorm geholpen met iedereen die klaar voor ons stond. De accomodatie heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Gideon en Anja enorm bedankt voor de gastvrijheid. We hebben nog vaak de gedachte 'dit hadden we Gideon en Anja willen vertellen'.

When we entered Gecko Lodge we were warmly welcomed. The place is beautiful! The start of our stay started with a few hiccups (Wifi problem and broken pipe in the shower) but the owners did absolutly everything to fix it and to make up for it. The room was clean and the bed was nice. The best part about staying at Gecko Lodge is the diners! We were surprised about the lovely atmosphere, the amazing three courses and the extremely helpful and friendly staff. During our safari’s we talked about how we were looking forward to our diner again! Also worth mentioning that it’s a perfect base for Safari’s in Kruger. It’s close to one of the gates and Gecko Lodge provides breakfastbaskets and they are awesome! We loved it at Gecko Lodge!

Ons t****e onderkomen op onze reis door Zuid-Afrika. We werden ontzettend vriendelijk ontvangen, in het zuidafrikaans! De eigenaar gaf ons goede tips: eerst even lekker uitrusten. En dan de volgende ochtend een wandeling maken naar de Sabie rivier. Bijzonder, want we zagen onderweg veel nijlpaarden poep, maar ook veel bloemen, vlinders en vogels. In de middag gingen we raften op de rivier, dat stond al in ons programma en was ook erg leuk al was het waterpeil van de rivier heel laag. De kamer in de Geckolodge was prima en het eten vonden we ook heerlijk ( ontbijt en diner). Kortom we kunnen deze lodge dan ook van harte aanbevelen!

Kamers waren in Afrikaanse stijl en van de benodigde gemakken voorzien. Eigenaar en personeel waren zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hebben zeer goede tips gekregen aangaande de Panorama route. Het eten (ontbijt en diner) was erg lekker.

Lodge très bien située à 45mn de la Kruger gate. Accueil très chaleureux et on nous a préparé un petit déjeuner à emporter pour le lendemain matin où nous partions tôt pour la visite du Kruger. Chambre simple. Nous avons eu un dîner très correct dans la belle salle de restaurant où nous avons pu apercevoir quelques babouins qui passaient…

Les images de l'hôtel ne reflètent pas du tout la réalité. Le service de restauration très mauvais et aucune organisation au regard d'un groupe de 30 personnes. Une seule personne qui assurait la préparation et le service du petit déjeuner, la pauvre.

Accueil très sympathique, personnel prévenant Bons conseils pour découvrir la panorama road Attention les tarifs d’entrée sur les parkings sont différents pour les locaux et les internationaux compter le double pour les internationaux Restaurant : très bons plats Chambres agréables Parc arboré idéalement situé pour visiter la panorama road. Piscine et balade possible autour du lodge
