Our Hermanus B&B

Our Hermanus bed and breakfast is a beautiful outstanding place to stay. I have written over 2,000 reviews for TripAdvisor and can honestly say that this bed and breakfast is the most beautiful, exceptional, outstanding place my wife and I have ever enjoyed. I cannot praise the place too highly! Located within a few minutes walk of Hermanus town centre on a quiet road the house looks unassuming from the outside. (Easy free parking on the street) but inside the place is wonderful in every aspect. My pictures show just how beautiful the internal and external decor is. There is a relatively large swimming pool but instead of having sun loungers there are sofas to lie upon! The lounge area is a beautiful library, the dining area is light and airy, and the breakfasts were simply outstanding. My wife would recommend the fruit platter, personally I succumbed to the excellent pancakes! Our bedroom had a huge king size double bed with comfortable pillows. There was good wardrobe space, excellent wi-fi, a flat screen TV, a fridge, tea and coffee facilities together with biscuits and nibbles, an outside garden area private to our room and an inside patio also private to our room. The bathroom had a shower wash basin and toilet. Leigh also provided a laundry service to us for just a few pound sterling.at The style of the room was beautiful. The owner, Leigh, used to be an interior designer – and it shows. As if all this wasn't enough Leigh provides free chilled white wine during the afternoon as you lounge around the pool and together with her amazing assistant, Steven, provides for all your needs. We felt that we were sharing her house and yet it was free and easy! I don't normally write reviews which are so gushing, but this place absolutely deserves it. We paid £292 for a three night stay and my advice to anybody reading this review is to book early to avoid any disappointment. Leigh told me that she runs the establishment has a bed and breakfast during February and part of March but that other times in the year the whole house is available for booking.

What a lovely place Our Hermanus House is. We were visiting South Africa to see our son, and we all went on a trip to Franschhoek and Hermanus for a few days. From the moment we arrived we were extremely well looked after by Leigh, Steven and the team as nothing was too much trouble for them. The place itself is like a little oasis and is beautifully set out, with very tasteful decor. It is just a 5 minute stroll from town with wonderful cliff walks on its doorstep. Breakfast was a delight and most welcome, with lovely fruit platters and hot dishes of your choice. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. A big thank you Leigh, for making us feel so welcome, we just wished we could’ve stayed longer. Maybe next time !
