The Anchorage Hotel

Third time we have stayed at this hotel. Had a fab room on each visit, however, this time in the annexe. Again, lovely clean, comfortable room (38), very spacious. Hotel has it's own bar (open all day, to non-residents too). Great breakfast. Great location. Convenient for access to Trearddur Bay, Rhoscolyn, Valley and of course Holyhead (for the ferries to Ireland). Less than half hour walk to/from Y Dyffryn/Valley station. Also on bus route connecting Holyhead and Llangefni (for Bangor). Looking forward to our next trip there.
The Haven Guest House
4.5/538 Reviews
Checked into the haven yesterday 19th sept for a 1 night stay prior to sailing to dublin. The host of this beautiful guesthouse was a very charming amiable chap who ensured we had all the info we needed in the area etc. The rooms are spotless 10/10. Very comfy beds, complimentary brew kit and milk. This is a perfect spot to stay if catching a ferry or even to visit anytime. We highly recommend the haven and if we visit again we wont hesitate to stay again. Fabulous thanks very much . Ample parking at the front for free and i believe further parking round the back.
Travelodge Holyhead
3.9/544 Reviews
I commute by car several times a year to/from Ireland using the Holyhead-Dublin Stena Line ferry and I have used this motel a few times when I have early morning outbound crossings or delayed inbound afternoon crossings. The Travelodge in Holyhead is about five minutes from the ferry terminal, so it is very convenient. The motel is cheap and clean. The room is fairly basic - no fridge, iron, ironing board, hairdryer - but the double bed is comfortable and there is a tub in the bathroom. The electric heater didn't seem to work, which was OK as it was not very cold, and the bathroom had no handwash in the dispenser. But, hey, it was £39 a night, there was a Chinese takeaway nearby for dinner and I was on the ferry for breakfast at 07:30 after a good night's sleep. Don't bother with the view from the bedroom unless you're in the market for a used car!
Premier Inn Holyhead
4.5/541 Reviews
Arrived slightly early for check-in but was told that check-in was not available until 3pm which was fair enough. Check in was easy and faultless. The room was as expected from Premier Inn. Later, the hotel car park was full and the hotel was full. Despite the hotel being full, it was extremely quiet. Breakfast was excellent and the evening meal was very tasty. The staff were welcoming and keen to please. This is such a busy hotel but the level of noise outside the reception and restaurant is non existent. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area. Diolch yn fawr i chi am y croeso. Fe fyddwn yn ol!
