Perfect location right on the beach. Room is very small (like everywhere in Hongkong), but cozy. The coolest part is their own restaurant on the beach. Will definitely stay here again. P.S. beach and water was dirty and full of trash, plastic bottles, bags, cups etc. It's not on hotel, but it does killing some vibe
Lychee Sunset Hotel Cheung Chau

Note that if you want to check in in person, the reception is located at a completely different address -- walk straight ahead after getting off the ferry and it's a shop on the right that also handles bookings for several other bnb places. Otherwise, if you show up at the hotel itself, check-in is by WhatsApp only, which is a bit annoying. Also note that there's no lift, and the hotel is situated on a slope, so try to avoid bringing a lot of baggage. While the opening hours of the restaurant / lounge area on the top floor are supposed to be until midnight, it is unstaffed and the air conditioning is turned off after breakfast hours, so I wasn't able to use the space despite it being a nice area to do some work or read.

A satisfying holiday. We left feeling recharged. Room: Pleasantly surprised by the spacious ocean front room. Glad that we arrived early to enjoy the stunning view in the comfort of our room. The room can be 100% dark with curtain on and lights out. Shower: Great choices of shower head + big bath overlooking the sea. Buffet breakfast: A wide selection of food and drink Location: The hotel is next to a plaza with supermarket and great restaurants. It’s only a bus ride away from D Deck and Sunny Bay. It’s away from the hassle of the city yet still convenient. Spa: There is a body massage promotion during our stay. A great way to conclude our stay
