Hangzhou Hostels

Last week I saw that the weather in Hangzhou was good, so I set off immediately. I saw this very affordable hotel the night before and decided to check it out. The hotel is about two to three hundred meters north on the northeast side of West Lake, and it is very convenient to travel by bicycle. Although the room is small and well-equipped, you can take a comfortable bath after a day of running around. The water pressure is high and the water temperature is suitable. However, the high humidity in the room that other guests have mentioned is unavoidable. It is recommended to turn on the air conditioner for a few hours to dehumidify when going out to play or eat. There are many scenic spots around the West Lake, but they are relatively scattered, and bicycles are prohibited on the lakeside. After more than two days of sightseeing, I still haven’t visited them all. But it’s worth taking a walk along Gushan Road-Baidu Line in the evening.

Check-in staff and in house staff were really patient, respectful, and helpful. Asked them for direction and they kindly searched for it. This is a dormitory style homestay with shared room and bathroom. We stay in a private room with a private bathroom and toilet.Has hot water with good pressure. Non smoking room. Room is clean but mattress is really old and should be replaced. The tatami layout is nice with a simple sitting area.Recommend for owner to install more clothes hanging hooks for convenience. No tv in room. They have a large common area with regular and hot water dispenser. Many table and chairs for use. Location is far from city centre but within 10km by metro. Close to the station, more convenient

The room is too small... The sink and bathroom shower are on the left and right of the door... The tatami bed is right after the door, and there is not even a table or chair... (There is only a small bedside table) The view from the window is not bad, but it seems that the window cannot be opened... Although it is a non-smoking room, there is always smoke coming in from the exhaust of the bathroom at night... I smelled the smoke all night... It seemed to be better when I turned on the ventilation on the second night... There is a socket at the head of the bed which is loose and can only be charged at the wash basin orz. (By the way, the toothbrush provided can only be used after brushing one mouthful of bristles... It is recommended to change the supplier...) Also, the room is not very soundproof... The hygiene is OK~ (the toilet is a high-end electronic toilet... There was free water and instant coffee, and even shoe shine cloths! If you don't have high requirements for the hotel and don't mind the area, you can still stay here.

Once you've stayed here, you'll understand the phrase ”choosing a branch to perch on.” (This idiom means finding a good place to settle). The bedding is changed for every guest, and the duvet is soft with a clean, laundry-detergent scent. The shower is separated from the toilet, and the water pressure is great – you don't have to wait for the floor to dry before going in. The smart toilet is a game-changer for a hostel; once you sit down, you won't want to get up. 🎸 In the evening, someone plays guitar in the lobby. If you're chatty, you can gather around; if you don't feel like talking, just cozy up on the sofa and listen to the music – no one will make you feel awkward. 📍 It's a ten-minute walk from West Lake, and right next to a food street, so dining and accommodation are super convenient. Next time I'm in Hangzhou, I'll definitely stay here again.

The hotel is extremely disappointed. They have a very strange policy of visiting guests, namely a total ban on visiting a room without passport registration (which requires extra payment). My friend wanted to help me to get things in the room and the staff allowed her to come to us for only 15 minutes. After that we watched as other guests the staff refused to skip the guests (they friends wanted to help carry things). I had bronchial asthma and I was extremely displeased with the fact that the room and bedroom were smoked. I had several asthma attacks at night and I couldn't sleep well.

I chose this youth hostel for my job interviews in Hangzhou, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The location is super convenient; it's just a few minutes' walk to both the subway station and a snack street, making it easy to get around and find food. They have separate floors for men and women, and there are surveillance cameras in the hallways, so I felt very safe staying alone. Each bed has a blackout curtain, a charging port, and a lockable locker, providing plenty of privacy once the curtain is drawn. The bathroom is a wet/dry separation, with 24-hour hot water, and the room has air conditioning, keeping it cool. The cleaning staff tidies up regularly, so there was no dampness or strange odors. The bedding is changed for every new guest, and the room is well-ventilated and dry, making for a very comfortable stay. The owner is really friendly and patiently helped with directions and luggage storage. The other guests were considerate, keeping quiet at night so as not to disturb anyone's rest. The price is budget-friendly, allowing you to stay cleanly and safely without spending much. It was perfect for resting up after a busy day. It offers great value for money and is ideal for temporary stays while job hunting. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town.

The hostel is on the fifth floor of the building, very close to the subway station. The public area is large. If you want to be quiet, there is also a study room, washing machines and drying areas. There is a restaurant downstairs.

Considering it was a bustling Qingming Festival holiday, the price for this hostel was quite reasonable. The room itself was decent and felt pretty private, with a curtain on the wooden partition. It has shared bathrooms, and you have to change into slippers upstairs. It's located in an alley next to the Chocolate Museum on Hefang Street, and I almost missed it the first time. Even though it's in a commercial area, it's surprisingly soundproof; I couldn't hear any outside noise from my room. It's just a short walk to Wushan and the Hangzhou Museum, and a couple of blocks to Listening to Orioles in the Willows (Liulang Wenying), so the location is excellent. You can even take an evening stroll along West Lake.

Located in the West Lake Scenic Area, close to Tiger Run. The public area is quite large, with a courtyard.
