Outstanding
AAlbert Alexandre AlexisAs luxurious as one can expect. Beautiful place in a secluded natural environment with lavish service and delicious food. The bath are very well prepared and the staff is extremely kind and attentive.
It is a hard ask but it would be nice to have some western options at breakfast. But of course this is a Japanese traditional inn yet these options would feel even more luxurious.
Some of the decoration feels a bit either dated, kitsch or not being harmonious, I think they need a redesign of the furnitures are it looks more like an assemblage than a harmonious selection of decoration and furnitures. It’s a little on the weird side even sometimes!
But the bedding is exceptional. You will have a great sleep at this stay!
CChangtuixuejieThe location is decent. You can take the Nyuto Line bus from Lake Tazawa to the resort center station. You can either arrange for the hotel to pick you up or walk for 15-20 minutes (though it's a bit tough with luggage due to an uphill section).
The main draw of this hotel is the complimentary shuttle to Tsuru-no-Yu for an hour of hot spring bathing at 8 PM.
Dinner and breakfast are included and the food is pretty good.
The hotel service is excellent. With only a few guest rooms, it feels very private and is perfect for a relaxing stay of 1-2 nights.
GGuest UserThis hot spring hotel is in a very good location, right by the lake. The owner gave us a room with a beautiful view of the lake. The hotel is quite decent, the facilities are not new, but they are very clean. The service is also very satisfactory, but it cannot be said to be very exquisite in details. The entrance to the room is relatively narrow, making it difficult to place suitcases. The hot spring is very good and very comfortable. Dinner was okay, but breakfast was a bit basic. I rode around Lake Tazawa for a week and found several hot spring hotels that were out of operation. It is probably due to the impact of the epidemic in the past few years, which has led to a reduction in market supply, while demand continues to recover. Therefore, it is obvious that the price of hot spring hotels in Japan is now higher than before the epidemic. It is at least twice as expensive, but the service quality is slightly lower than before the epidemic.
EE2880****After exiting Tazawako Station, it takes about an hour by bus from stop number 2 to reach the hotel, which is quite convenient. Buses are infrequent, so be sure to check the schedule carefully.
My room was actually on the C floor, newly renovated. The room was large and had a toilet, but no shower.
The hotel has Chinese-speaking staff, making communication easy.
The hotel's biggest feature is its highly acidic hot spring, with a pH of 1.2. It will sting if you have any open wounds. There are many hot spring pools, 11 in total, including 50% and 100% hot spring pools, and they are cleaned very thoroughly every day.
Shin-Tamagawa Onsen and Tamagawa Onsen are part of the same company. There is a bus service between the two hotels, and it's about a 15-minute walk (on a pedestrian path, not a bus route). If you're walking, be sure to ask for directions.
Tamagawa Onsen has a Jigokudani (Hell Valley) similar to Noboribetsu Onsen, but even more breathtaking. The Hokuto stone here contains radium and is said to have healing properties; many elderly people lie there daily with their mats.
The hotel food is very healthy, low in oil and salt, perhaps because the guests are mainly elderly and the diet is focused on health. My stomach felt very clean the morning after eating it.
GGuest UserThe facilities are a bit old, but there is no inconvenience because they meet the necessary and sufficient. The hot springs were so comfortable that I wanted to stay in them all the time.
The meal was not luxurious, but none of them were very delicious and happy.
I want to go again.
PPhilipp MaasA hot spring with the highest acidity that can be reached by bus or rental car. The inn itself is a bit old, but the rice and bath were good. I want to relax again.
JJimmy Hung0305Hotels in Tianze Lake Plateau
It takes about half an hour to get there by bus at Tinze Lake Station
Arrive at the ”Upper Plateau Hot Spring Station” and get off the bus and walk for about 4 minutes.
The hotel is in the mountains, all the snow is a lot of secret.
The hotel is the kind of traditional Japanese-style hotel, with dinner and breakfast very rich
The room is tatami, which is what is often seen in the Chinese and Japanese dramas, the atmosphere is very good.
The quilt was already simmered at the beginning of entering the room, very warm
The big bath will have a little sulfur smell as soon as you enter, and I heard that it is effective for skin and muscle soreness
The bath has internal and external soup, the external soup is full of snow, it really feels like winter.
The meal is delicious, the environment is comfortable, the staff is kind, I highly recommend it to everyone
