My worst hotel experience in a long time, the front desk officers looked and acted ĺĺĺke. they were not conversant with the situations . Hotel is so unkept and most features are broken. Wc doesn't stop running when flushed ... bathroom had molds in the shower. It was an awful experience for me. Even if the receptionist had little or no control over the situation that are management issue. No shower caps

Excellent location right smack in the center of the shopping street. Walking distance to many places.
Room is ok and decent for the price you paid for. Basic amenities provided but note that they do not have facial tissue or bedroom slipper provided.
The room probably not suitable for friends who are body shy? There is a hole to the bathroom sliding door, so there’s basically no privacy to it.
Overall, pretty happy with the stay.

As we arrived the pleasant receptionist set the tone. Our flight was delayed and we were hungry so we saw their restaurant closed in 15 mins. Shall we go? “No please walk 15mins to this other place”. OK. We did and it was closed. We returned a fruitless hour later to find same hopeless staff member in their little shop selling sandwiches. My wife was ready to explode but it calmed down. Within 15 mins of arrival I was told No more times than in our 3 week trip in total No milk for tea or coffee. Room clean enough. Hopeless air con. We are Accor Diamond and noticed almost no benefits apart from 5 cans of pop free a day. No breakfast/gift or other things that you get elsewhere. A trip back in time when Accor were clueless about brand loyalty. In Australia/Oceania now they are very switched on My loyalty to them caused the problem here. The truth is that unless you spend big money on the Sofitel Accor has no decent mid range hotels in Amsterdam and it’s worth noting. Going to another brand should be remembered in certain cities especially in Europe which is odd as they are a European company. A badly managed hotel. That’s where the problem is. Lazy or incompetent. I know the signs.

Expensive for hostel rate.
Clicknoord is located at very convenient location. Only a few minutes walk to the jetty to catch a ferry to Amsterdam central station. Very suitable for young people who want to have interaction with others.
For middle age person like me, the place is a bit too noisy. First night was the worst as the youths were slaming their doors even till 11pm. Thankfully, someone came out to confront them. The volume was much better on the 2nd night.
Generally, the whole place was good with basic facilities. And the staff are very friendly too. Beside the noises and price, I would recommend the place.

Like many guests here, we only stayed for one night before an early flight the next day, but it was a great experience. When we arrived by Uber, my wife and I were planning to just relax, eat in the hotel restaurant, and get up early for the airport. But, when we got in, my wife's arthritis in her knee really flared up after a week's worth of doing a lot of walking on the trip. She was struggling greatly in the lobby. I asked the front desk if they could help out and the manager immediately found a wheelchair we could use to get my wife to our room. He helped her into the chair, pushed her into the room, and helped her get settled in the bed so she could set some rest. And rest we did. The bed was extremely comfortable and even being close to a highway, the room was quiet enough for us to get a great night's sleep. And I guess we could count sheep to fall asleep as there was a literally sheep grazing outside our window. We truly appreciated the care shown to two people who just passed through the hotel because they had a free night certificate. We were treated like we mattered. And we all matter!

At the beginning of this year, I went to Amsterdam and stayed in two hotels, one is the net red hotel Zoku on Xiaohongshu, and the other is Waldorf. Pretty good.
•
Location: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
📍The geographical position is still quite good, right next to the canal, within 1 km from Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Dam Square, etc. Amsterdam ’s attractions are also concentrated. Personally, I recommend opening goole navigation and walking along the canal. You You will encounter many surprises!
•
Experience: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
1⃣️ The hotel was transformed from several gentleman's palaces built in the 17th century. I have seen a blogger write on the Internet before. This Waldorf Astoria was formerly a bank, so there is now a basement Treasury Museum.
2⃣️ Because of the historical reasons for being built near the canal, the hotel's entrance is not magnificent, nor the magnificence of super-luxury hotels. If it is not a hanging logo flag, it will be missed even when passing by, and there is a feeling of tranquility away from the hustle and bustle.
3⃣️ The most impressive thing is the waiter here, the boys are handsome and tall, the girls may not be very beautiful but the temperament is in place, and their work clothes are beautiful, the boys are all big cloaks, and the girls are floral dresses, which are amazing.
4⃣️When checking in, bring a big wooden box to let you choose your favorite indoor fragrance. After checking in, the waiter will brief you on the hotel ’s facilities or the location of the restaurant. When you enter the room, you will also introduce the room pattern. Wait.
5⃣️ Because I stayed for one night, I caught the plane the next day and booked their common room type. The average price is about 650-700 euros a night. The room is about 40 square meters. I think it should be more than that. The layout is very It is spacious, the room decoration is not complicated, and the oncoming comfort is very rare.
6⃣️ The room is ready with a welcome card with your name and special chocolates 🍫, daily necessities such as washing and nursing are Ferragamo, the boss, basically can not run out hahaha.
7⃣️ Including breakfast, breakfast is not in the form of a buffet, but ordering. I came to a continental breakfast gathering. Because I am only one, so the waiter gave me a half serving. There are cheese plate, ham plate, salted salmon, bread, Yogurt, coffee, fruit, etc., halving is not enough to eat haha.
8⃣️ The back garden of the hotel is a big highlight. At the beginning, I just saw the picture of the back garden before thinking about booking, but in winter in Amsterdam, the weather is not satisfactory, either it is overcast or raining, I see a lot of net pictures, spring The garden full of tulips is very charming.

Second stay at this hotel, this time 4 nights on holiday. The hotel is located at a commercial, but pleasant area, with good public transportation options. We preferred it to the chaos of central Amsterdam, including a fair share of dubious characters we saw there on sightseeing. We were welcomed in a courteous and pleasant manner (thank you Tim for this, and for good tips regarding transportation)., and service was good throughout our stay. The common areas and the room were pleasant and clean. The bed was good, the bathroom large and well-maintained. Breakfast was a continental fare with no extras, but good quality ingredients, both beverages and food. Few comments regarding things we liked less: 1. Water pressure in our room (highest floor, # 11) was too weak for an adequate shower. Uncertain how it is on lower floors, but this was frustrating. 2. Room service needs improvement. We ordered burgers, to be prepared medium, and received charred, over-well-done meat, with charred buns too. 3. We were happy to learn there was jazz music in the bar on Thursday. Alas, these were two fairly quiet guitars, drowned in a sea of yelling and laughing guests, People's behavior is by no means something the hotel can or should control. Nevertheless, should the music be audible, it may be better to bring a singer with a piano and a set of drums. Overall a pleasant stay at a good hotel.

Stayed for 5 nights as part of a business trip at a nearby training centre. Really enjoyed my stay here and felt comfortable the whole time I was there. Staff: I felt all the staff really made an effort here, it was noticeable as everyone would always give a smile or acknowledgement and say good morning to you when you would come out the lift for breakfast, always met with a smile. I was checked in my Nicolas, who assisted in storing my luggage and was really informative, gave details of the free ferry running from Amsterdam central, local clubs, pubs and restaurants and everything I needed to know for my stay. Got a room upgrade and a welcome cookie which was great. There was another guy on the check in desk I think was called sylvan or something like that? Young with short curly hair on top, he was really helpful as well and also arranged a packed breakfast for me when I was leaving for the airport early. Room: room was cleaned every day and was spotless on my return and i'd left it quite messy over the weekend. Bed was made beautifully, thanks to the room cleaning staff. The rooms look small in pictures but there is more than enough space, bed is large, there is storage and a large bathroom with a great view where I was able to watch the ferries come in so I didn't have to wait at the terminal. Food: breakfast was superb, eggs and coffee to order and loads of selection. Beautifully decorated lobby and restaurant. Only thing I would have changed would have been the location of the light switches on the bed. They have blue led lights on them even when not in use which is over your head so a bit distracting for sleep, which I solved just by removing the key for the room power. All in all would stay again and will recommend to my company to use for others coming for business in the area.

The location of the hotel was good. It's walking distance from the central station and surrounded by many shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and the receptionist even walked me to the lift. However, the layout of the hotel was a little weird as the lift to my room was a small one in a corner next to the carpark entrance. Wasn't a good impression given the amount paid for the stay. The room was small but the decor was pleasing and very comfortable. The toilet was of a good size and the shower was relatively wide. Breakfast provided at the hotel was good.

This review is based purely on our own experience. We had an amazing time at this hotel. All the staff were great and friendly. If you needed anything they would get it for you. Felt welcomed from arrival. The room was super clean and had everything we needed. The bed was so comfortable it made us realise how uncomfortable ours is back home. The shower was big enough for two 😉. Breakfast was plentiful with a mix of continental and cooked. You also get a choice of different cooked eggs. I personally enjoyed having an omelet with spinach. Enjoyed the social hour every day between 4 and 5 pm. They do have a restaurant too but we ate out. The cocktail bar is nice, didn't hear the music from our room. I would easily recommend this hotel and hope to visit again in the future. Yes there are (at time of writing) Road works outside but we didn't hear any noise coming from them. If you arrive by train, don't waste money on a taxi as its only a short walk from the station. On a side note, if you want to do a canal cruise, I'd recommend doing the open top one. Yes it is a little more expensive but you get longer, see more and can ask questions to the skipper as you go round.

GGuest UserFantastic hotel close to tram, metro and train station with easy and fast access to airport and city centre. Hotel is designed as modern and contemporary with bright artwork and garden designed restaurant and swanky cocktail bar.
Highlights- high floor premium room with a a view- stunning view across Amsterdam from every angle. Comfy bed and coffee machine and real milk in the fridge. Very comfy bed and luxurious toiletries.
Breakfast- amazing!! Prosecco or vodka Bloody Mary available too and made to order omelettes in addition to the high quality food on offer- bagel station, yogurts and cakes and desserts and waffle station. Alternative milk oat, almond, soya including in the coffee machine meaning dairy free latte and cappuccino.
Reception- staff friendly and helpful and free sweetie bar and coffee/tea/hot chocolate cart.
Restaurant beautiful design but you need to prebook.
Cons- free drink voucher in exchange for not having room cleaned caused issue as only 1 drink was free meaning others in same room had to pay!
One staff member in restaurant was very abrupt and rude when we bought wine to take to room and was told we Could not buy a glass of wine and reside to our room, had to drink at the bar!
Couldn’t get WiFi to work.
GGuest UserI couldn't be more pleased with this hostel! I highly recommend it. The hostel, including bathrooms and showers, was very clean. The beds were super cozy and comfortable and offered some privacy. Staff was super sweet and helpful. Bonus points that the lobby always smelled like toast or freshly baked cookies! Also, the bike rental service was fantastic. One suggestion for improvement is that it would have been nice to have some wall hangers in the room. Since there were none, people resorted to hanging stuff from the bed ladders or just putting it on the floor.
IIKEDAThe staff felt that everyone was very powerful in making this hotel more attractive. It made me feel friendly and warm (especially the lady at the reception! It was bright and just like a signboard girl).
The hotel has converted traditional architecture into a modern boutique hotel. It is comfortable with an elevator and air conditioning. There was also Nespresso in the room. The amenities are also of good quality.
The location is perfect (it takes about 10 minutes to reach the central station, so you don't have to worry about sightseeing, shopping, or dining).
It took about 25 minutes by taxi to the airport for 45 euros. If the number of passengers is 3 or more and you have a lot of luggage, it may be more convenient than using public transportation.
There is a refrigerator, but it's small and contains drinks that you pay for what you drink, so you can't put in too much extra.

Excellent
GGuest UserHotel was great for the price you pay. The rooms are tiny (barely enough room to open a suitcase) and although situated conveniently next to a metro station is in the middle of nowhere but again, you get what you pay for and the lobby, gym and communal areas are well designed and well kept. If you don’t mind a 15/20min Metro travel to Amsterdam Centraal you wouldn’t mind it here I give the hotel 2 stars because I accidentally left my Apple Airpod headphones in the lobby area the day I checked out to visit another hotel in Amsterdam, although when I called Hotel Leonardo that same night to ask them if they’d been handed in I was told they hadn’t. I travelled down to the hotel the next morning to be told the same thing, that there were no headphones that had been handed in but they asked for my name and previous room number so they could contact me should they turn up. Luckily I was able to make my lost AirPods make a sound (findmyiphone feature you can activate when you lose a device) and I could hear them beeping behind the front desk so I told the receptionist that I knew they were behind the desk and she eventually handed them over. I firmly believe the hotel staff were trying to keep my misplaced AirPods headphones and if I had not been able to make the sound from the Airpods they would have pocketed them
JJaslyfeThis was about the only hotel within the area proximity I wanted that wasn’t costing an arm and a leg and had a lot of positive feedback. It was pretty helpful that a free shuttle was provided so it made the transition from the central station to the hotel much easier. I am not sure how guests of certain races are treated at NH Amsterdam but upon arrival at the reception area the person attending to us was trembling for dear life. I guess perhaps being non-Caucasian might posses a threat or maybe it was her first day working there. I really can’t be certain, but it really isn’t a good look if the receptionist can’t get her job done without shaking like a leaf when handing the paper to sign, when taking ones credit card, when handing the keys etc. The room was pretty comfortable, we were given one with a balcony on the second floor which was nice because the view was pretty amazing. Overall the room was clean but a little more attention can be paid to the bathroom. The hair dryer cord was very dusty. It is also pretty difficult to understand the heating system at the hotel. We only figured it out the last night being there, so our room was cold for the majority of our stay. Considering it is winter time, it would be nice if the housekeeper after cleaning, would keep the room warm and not have the ac on cold. We would always returning to a freezing room. The location was by far my favourite as it was only an 11 minutes walk to a train station. Getting buses to get around was not a problem and there was the added bonus of the shuttle. However, we getup and out pretty early and the shuttle doesn’t commence till 9am. The stay was a pleasant one and I would probably stay there again, as the negatives we encountered can be fixed I am sure.
GGuest UserWe were greeted by a friendly face, a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a stroopwafel which is always nice.
Self-checkin was easy and we were able to checkin to our room and hour early.
The hotel is quirky and has lots going on in the reception areas which gave the place a buzz… lots of students and meeting rooms.
Nearest metro is literally a minutes walk, buy a travel pass at the station machine and for €9 you get unlimited travel on the metro, trams and buses for 24 hours. It’s 4 stops to the centre of Amsterdam which takes about 7 mins and metros come quickly and are clean and safe.
Area around the hotel appears safe, there isn’t a shop which is open late nearby so I recommend stocking up of snacks/drinks from the supermarket on the opposite side of the road.
Room was clean, spacious and quiet with a modern bathroom. Could have done with an extra pillow but I didn’t ask for another as I was only staying one night.
22016AHAHad a great 2-nights’ stay, in a modern, clean and spacious room with a beautiful view! A young and friendly staff, good service. A nice breakfast with a tasty, Fresh and healthy selection of different kinds of bread, fruits, yoghurt, etc. All served “Corona proof.” You won’t leave hungry! Diner was also very good, nice presentation of local veggies and good meat, all very very tasty! Another big advantage: Subway is within a five minute walk and brings you to the heart of Amsterdam in ten minutes.
MMPK44This hotel is new and well-maintained. It is conveniently located just 20 minutes by tram from the train station and 30 minutes from the main museums. The rooms are clean and comfortable. However, there were a few minor issues. The door to our room was extremely heavy, making it difficult for some guests to open. Additionally, the air conditioning unit made a cleaning sound during the night, which was disruptive to our sleep. Overall, this hotel offers good value for money and I would recommend it to others.
GGuest UserMe and my friend booked this hotel as there were good reviews, which is very important to us as we came from Norway to stay there for 6 days. It was also our first time in Amsterdam and were not familiar with the location. We were first checked into a wrong room than the one we had booked, and were told that we could move the next morning to another one. After we were moved to a bigger room, they told us we had to pay 50 euros due to the ”cleaning from the other room”, which we expect to be included in the price we already paid for our stay. Never experienced this before. Some staff don't smile, don't say hello, and looked strange at us when we walked through the reception. The next days our new room was not cleaned at all, one day they only came to make the bed, the next day they only came with new towels on the door. One day the cleaning lady also rushed in without knocking while we were in bed, which we thought was very unprofessional. We did not feel comfortable or safe at all staying here. We will not be going back here. Location is also pretty far from the centrum
Hotel in lovely area, 15 min tram to the centre, good sized clean room - basic decoration. Very much a backpackers hotel/hostel vibe. Not for someone expecting a prestige type room for the price. There was a mini fridge in our room we found very useful. Cleaners and staff were great, iron was avaliable, and slept with little noise coming from neighbouring rooms. The place had a nice atmosphere with the music venue and studios on the ground floor. We were very worried after reading some bad reviews but relieved by our actual experience of a spotless room, fresh towels everyday and a fan in our room when it was warm. It still seems a little overpriced in comparison to hotels in other cities but I think its average when it comes to Amsterdam with limited accommodation options.
