We stayed here for a weekday concert at the PNC Arena, a pleasant and easy 15 min walk. It is an okay midgrade chain hotel that charges for the access and convenience rather than amenities. We arrived at 5:00 and were told our room was not ready (check in is at 4:00) and got a free coke for our 20 minute wait. It seems they are suffering from lack of housekeeping help and the front desk had no idea what the housekeepers were doing. Everybody who checked in had to wait. The front desk was very friendly but did not seem to be in charge. Since the PNC Arena charges $40 for parking it seems this hotel has just added that to their room price, i.e. an overpriced room for the privilege of the walking convenience. The small bar was overwhelmed by the post concert crowd, but to the lone bartenders credit, she stayed open late (post 10:00) and kept the drinks coming. The room was large and clean after waiting a while for the lone elevator, okay HVAC, comfortable bed, but the pillows were horrible flat chunks of foam. The $10.75 breakfast (mediocre although real eggs and over cooked sausage) should have been included for the inflated room rate. It's worth paying for the convenience for the PNC but we wouldn't stay there if not for that reason. You can find the same quality for less not too far away, but then you'd have a commute and a $40 parking charge. Name your poison.

The hotel is too stingy! The water flow is deliberately adjusted to be very small, as thin as a pencil, and it takes half a day to rub the towel. The water tank in the toilet was also working intermittently, and the sliding door of the shower room would slide open automatically when closed, so I had no choice but to use something to hold it up. I don’t even know how the four stars came about? Maybe it's just that the external environment of the hotel is good, but it's just fake! Will never stay at this hotel again.

I stayed at this hotel by mistake. I intended to book the nearby Marriott Crabtree, where I have frequently stayed in the past. It was a fortuitous error. I liked the Courtyard a bit better, mostly because it is newer, cleaner, and cheaper. Friendly service. Liked the quiet locale on a weird little street on a hill with every mid-priced chain hotel known to man. As with the other Marriott, I could walk to the nearby Starbucks at the mall and dine at Seasons 52, an excellent dinner option when traveling for business.

This hotelis located practically at the mall. Service was excellent. There was 2 events happening at the location during my stay and you couldn’t even tell. Staff was friendly and very professional. They offered ev charging if you really need but it won’t be reasonable or cheap. I’d suggest getting enough charge to get you to a Tesla charger but it was still a blessing to see that it was offered. Rooms were good size, clean, and very welcoming. I will be returning

Comfortable, convenient, and priced-right, this Residence Inn is a great choice in Raleigh. While its decor is not trendy and up-to-date, the bed was very comfortable (which, I think, is more important) and our room was spacious. Better yet, it's close to the Crabtree Valley Mall, which offers a multitude of dining options. We stayed here recently, while Covid-related restrictions were still in place, and the breakfast buffet had been replaced with a pre-order system -- you must order your breakfast the night before you plan to eat it. We didn't do that, so I can't tell you how efficient the process is. But it's available. We were pleased enough with our experience that we plan to stay again. Recommend it!

GGuest UserEverything was great until...... My wife and I checked in Thursday for 3 nights. Upon check in, we were taken care of by Maria. Very sweet, attentive and had us on our way in no time. Thursday night was fine. Got up and went about our business Friday morning. Came back to the hotel Friday evening, head to the room and fell asleep quick. Then came Saturday morning. My wife is disabled, and we were on the 5th floor. We got to the elevator and waited about 4 or 5 minutes, and nothing happened. I called the front desk from my personal phone (the phone in our room wasn't hooked up) Was unfortunate to get a front desk person by the name of Kwamel. Very unprofessional individual. I asked if there was a problem with the elevators. He said yes, there were not working. I asked him how we were supposed to get downstairs. He directed me to where the stairs were. I advised him that my wife is disabled and not able to walk down 5 flights of stairs. In his own charming way, he had no other answer for me. I hung up and had to help my disabled wife down 5 flights of stairs with her walker and our cooler for the day. Took us about 25 minutes to get to the bottom as my wife had to take one step at a time holding on the guard rail with both hands. I had to stand under her so she wouldn't slip and fall. When I got to the front desk, I inquired how long they would be out. My wife and I were going to be at a convention all day but obviously needed them working before we got back later that night. Mr. Personality had no idea. I inquired what we were supposed to do if we get back and they are still not working as there was NO WAY my wife could WALK up 5 flights. He was very unsympathetic and showed no compassion whatsoever. There was another rep behind the desk. She kept quiet for a while which was probably better for her. She finally asked me to come to her. She looked in her computer and long story short, if they were not fixed by the time we got back we had a room on the 1st floor waiting for us. I would just need to clear everything out of our current room which of course I would. That reps name was Karen. She was very nice, polite and showed an interest in helping us. Kwamel showed NO SIGNS to help. He just stood there with his shirt untucked and looked like it had been slept in. Instead of being part of the solution he kept telling me no. Wonder if he would have felt the same way if it was his mom or his grandma that was disabled and had to walk down 5 flights of stairs. I called Karen later in the day and was told they got 1 side working but the other wouldn't be looked at until Tuesday (holiday weekend) I am very surprised they wouldn't have someone on call 24 hours a day in case something like this happens. Doesn't say much about how much they care about their guests. Got back to the hotel at around 8PM. We were greeted by Daniel. We told him what took place that morning. He was VERY apologetic and showed much sympathy. Kwamel should really take some notes from
On the plus side, I would say that the bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The bedspread had stains on it. The AC unit was very noisy so it was hard to sleep. The pool was closed and there was no indication about that on the website when we booked the hotel. The breakfast had oatmeal. Everything else was loaded with sugar. There was no caffeine free tea. No dairy free milk. There was no maple syrup for the waffles (which I would have used). I am on a caffeine free, dairy-free, refined-sugar-free diet— In other words, I tend towards Whole foods close to their natural state. So I had oatmeal plain. I had heard that Hilton bought Hampton Inn. They are not doing well by the brand. Overall, the hotel had a feel of being run-down with good maid service and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming – obviously hard-working.
I was supposed to stay in the room on December 30, 2021.Now this was a surprise trip so I just found the cheapest hotel I can get in Raleigh at the time. I did not read any of the fine print or anything. So I will say that was my fault. I get there and Dennis John is the night clerk. I only had enough for the room I didn’t have enough for the $50 deposit. So I had to ask my family for the extra money. And they gave it to me. Then Dennis asked me “Why would you come somewhere broke”. I ignored this comment because I knew at that time I didn’t really have a lot of funds so I go outside and I get my thing including my dog. When I was going in the hotel to ask the clerk if dogs were allowed. Dennis decides to refund me my money. I told him I can still say, my friends can come and pick up my dog. He said that he has been through this before and he had been here for 13 years and that he didn’t care. He said i was not staying there. After this man saw me scrounge up all my money to get in this hotel. He refund me, knowing the refund will take five days to get in my account, and left me basically out on the street when I told him I would remove my dog. Then he started laughing and called the cops on me because I was upset. Personally I believe Dennis got a lot of enjoyment out of knowingly putting me out on the street. But it’s OK. I’m just gonna write this online review and I’m gonna leave it here because Dennis has been working for that hotel for 13 years. They know exactly who he is and he’s probably done something like this before. When I walked in he had an attitude. He doesn’t not know anything about customer service and that shows you that the hotel really doesn’t care about their customers. It’s really sad.I’m honestly blessed because I had family who looked out for me and took care of me for that night. But I can only imagine if this was someone with absolutely nothing. I think that the power he had got to his head. As minimum as it is. So I’m just gonna let y’all know watch out for Dennis. He don’t like his job and he don’t like you either.I will say the manager there cared about my complaints. I didn’t get his name but he was really nice even though I was kind of mad talking to him. But he did a really good job.
MMichael RIf I could give this location a negative 5 if I would. Please do not stay here people. FAIR WARNING This was the worst experience I've had in a hotel motel or nay kind of Inn. stayed at Red Roof for Dreamville in early April and this was the only ”affordable place.” As I look at the current prices per day I see that due to the event, prices were gouged by a large margin. That's not the surprise. This place was infested with roaches and ants. There was rust and peeling paint in numerous locations in the room and sounds coming from the lights. There were serious smells coming from the room like mildew or old over used furniture. The photos in the advertisement are FALSE and give the appearance of something better than it is. I have photos and videos in which i will post if this issue is not resolved. The staff was not present the whole weekend until Monday morning when I checked out and had to fly back home. As someone who has worked in hospitality and hotels for 15 years a full refund should have been offered but instead a very low and unacceptable one was offered. When I refused all communication from their end stopped and I was forced to battle this with my bank. Please advise this company breaks its own policy and does not rectify the situations being made aware by the guest, paying to stay there. Please do not stay here people. Llavic francaAffordable. The only thing is there’s no “breakfast” Whatever they have in the morning - caffe, cereal bar and muffin we can’t consider breakfast.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The manager came to my rescue, and ran off a person who was not a guest, but was trying to make me get him a job with my company. They also allowed me to store my travel chest after check out, while at my last day of the convention. Since I had temperature sensitive items in the chest. But the hotel was not good. First thing, we paid extra for early check in. Only to get a room with a huge hole in the wall next to the door. The manager was aware of it, but nothing was done. So we paid extra for a defective room. The bathroom was kinda gross. Built up grime and mold on the walls and floors. The Roaches we saw running around, was an issue.
TTheTravelingWitch One of my favorite hotels in Raleigh $50 deposit no bugs no loud people outside. It’s a very chill spot right beside Denny’s and Bahama breeze.
