We were visiting for wife's cancer treatment. We checked-in at about 4pm and assigned room 213 located DIRECTLY above the hotel AC and powerplant units. Noise and vibration ALL NIGHT LONG - compressor cut off and on literally hundreds of time overnight. My wife never slept even a single minute! We left the hotel for dinner and wife noticed the wall vibrations when we returned about 7pm. I walked down and confirmed the 1st floor location of the noise, then mentioned this to front desk. She knew IMMEDIATELY the issue and all staff absolutely were aware that rm 213 is totally unfit for sleeping! We'd already spread all our things out in the room, including all the medication and equipment for my wife's chemo appointment, so moving to moving everything to another room would have been a huge hassle. We opted to stay in the room not realizing the extent of the vibration on the wall and our headboard until we tried to sleep. Yes, ALL NIGHT LONG wall and headboard vibration! My years in the travel industry put my in rooms next to elevators, ice machines, and noisy parties, but this was the worst as the compressor often cut on and off 2 to 3 times per minute all night long. I'm sure the staff is told to assign rm 213 to someone they think will put up with it, but they 100% know that assigning anyone to that room is pure punishment! I've never experienced anything so disgustingly obvious in a hotel room assignment as this. My stays at other Four Points along the East Coast (over 15 yrs ago) were all fine, or at least I don't have any nightmares from those nights. Photo below is from our window of the building's AC unit and powerplant.
