Nice and good bed experience, nice staff service

We've stopped here for a quick transit to Tai Chung the next day. It's a motel with free parking space. The room is clean and spacious. There is no restaurants around and a 7/11 convenience store is around. The shower is great and the breakfast is good enough.

We were unaware of a policy until we arrive at the motel and it is inconvenient for stay more than a night. This policy was not flagged on the booking platform. Staying for 3 nights mean we are to check in from 6pm and check out next day 12 noon, return 6pm to check in and check out again next noon, total 3 times. A service fee (for the 6 hours 12noon to 6pm) is charged in order to keep the room thru the day for the 3 night stay avoiding the daily check in and out. This said to applies for 2pax room and is addition to the booking paid on the booking platform. We picked this motel for convenience of parking and walk up to the room. Everything was good in the room apart the narrow stairway carrying our luggage and the floor better off wearing a slippers. Breakfast is ok with a small spread of buffet and few additional items you can order from the kitchen.

I have stayed at 168 several times. The bed is really good for a hotel. It is rare to sleep comfortably at this price. There are not many choices for breakfast, but there are freshly made egg pancakes + hot dogs + bacon + fried eggs, etc. , it’s really good, thank you for your hard work.

The breakfast is abundant, the room is well-equipped and comfortable, and the freshly cooked food prepared by the aunt for breakfast is delicious! The hotel you want to stay in when coming to Hsinchu must be your first choice. It will make travelers feel like they want to stay again after staying there. It is a hotel with super high CP value.

The bathroom floor is unclean, the hot water is not hot even when it is fully heated, the water pressure is insufficient, the shower head is damaged, and when the bathtub is filled with water, there is a layer of unknown things floating on the water surface...

Checking in at night, the garage is equipped with mosquito coils and mosquito repellent lamps, and the air conditioner is turned on. Two adults and three children stay in a double room. There is enough space, the table is large and convenient for eating, and there is a desk electric next to the TV. Overall, it is very considerate. The most special thing is the breakfast Fresh omelets, carrot cakes, poached eggs, bacon and ham, and other dishes are quite abundant.

The whole place is quite clean. There is a small self-service bar for breakfast (porridge, toast bread, a few fried vegetables, milk juice coffee), and there are also fried poached eggs, egg cakes, carrot cakes, etc. freshly fried by the aunt. It can be seen from some small places that it feels a bit old (the iron frame is rusty). The hot water is very hot, but it is difficult to adjust it to the right temperature. It will be too cold or too hot. The sound insulation is not very good and you can hear the roadside all the time. The sound of passing vehicles.

Overall it's good. However, the toilet facilities are a bit old, and water leaks from where the shower head connects, and the amount of water fluctuates from small to large. For more than 8 years, I always go to 168 Motel (Hsinchu Branch) every time I go to Hsinchu for business, but I am more and more disappointed every time. Overall satisfied, it’s great that the motel doesn’t smell like smoke at all. The floors and beds are all clean and comfortable👍 The only drawback: the car can be heard very loudly from the window near the bathroom...
