Our stay at the J. Mountain hotel was beyond our wildest dreams. I rarely leave reviews but our 3 nights here were so stunningly exceptional that we felt driven to express our gratitude and appreciation for the stellar staff, service, and beautiful setting of this hidden gem of a hotel. The service was without exception some of the best if not the best I have ever experienced at a hotel, and I travel often, having visited over 20 countries in the last few years alone and stayed at many beautiful and well-known five-star hotels and brands. Despite being a very young hotel (having just opened in September) J. Mountain Hotel holds its own and then some. It began months before our stay when we reached out to the hotel on WeChat to ask for guidance on equipment, tickets, and transportation. As we are visiting from America the area isn’t necessarily the easiest to access or plan for. Responses were almost immediate no matter when we reached out and always went above and beyond. For instance, my mother is nearly 70 and although very active was worried about slipping and falling while hiking in icier conditions; they offered to even purchase crampons for us should we wish although they advised us we would not need them for the time of year we were here (they were right). While here their thoughtfulness included texting us updates on and warning us about inclement weather while we were hiking around Huang Shan (there is cell service), drying and fluffing our wet gear when we returned from a particularly wet hike, and most astounding of all resolving an incredibly stressful issue we had with an upcoming flight that had been canceled (they suggested and secured alternative means of transport to a second city and then arranged for a different flight with the airline directly). We must specifically give our thanks to Hotel Manager Ryan, who is young but clearly extremely talented and excels in his role. He not only oversaw and proactively sought to help us on every front but was responsible for resolving our flight emergency. He also clearly had directed staff to help us to their utmost ability at all times, including having breakfast and dinner ready for and served to us at the times we requested. Ryan also personally met us and gave us a tour of the hotel and its history and design, as well as accompanied us to the art gallery and an evening tea tasting held in the gorgeous tea house on the grounds. He checked in with us every day and night and made sure everything was to our liking. Driver Wang Kai was our personal chauffer throughout the stay and was extremely courteous, professional, and attentive; he was always there to pick us up and see us off at multiple locations throughout our trip and not once were we ever allowed to wait. He even brought us hotel slippers and large down jackets to change into out of our soaking wet gear when picking us up at the end of a hike. When we said we did not think we would need some of the gear they offer their guests, we noticed he packed it in the car just in case we changed our minds and needed them later. I could literally go on and on but wanted to make sure I left room to appreciate how beautiful the hotel itself is and how much attention to detail has gone into its design and planning; at almost every turn we discovered something that added to the ease, enjoyment, and comfort of our stay. J. Mountain Hotel, thank you for one of the best experiences we have had in many, many years.

Very good experience. The boss and his family are very nice (helping with pick-up and carpooling). The environment is also very good. You can see the mountains from the window and the back of the house. It is very beautiful and there are cute cats. The food is also delicious😋 Recommended

We were upgraded to a superior room that was great, very comfy bed and spacious room, we really enjoyed it. The room was very clean and well decorated. Beautiful. The hotel is also very well located to go to Huangshan, you can go on foot to get the subtle bus to the entrance.

It must be a five-star rating. The hotel is super close to the entrance to the Emerald Valley. It is well equipped with air conditioning, hot water and wifi. The hotel has a good environment and is equipped with a restaurant. Because we are going to the Huangshan Scenic Area the next day and we need to buy some dry food to take to the mountain to stay. Eat, so we took a carpool in the Emerald Valley in the afternoon and went to Tangkou Town to buy something and eat. It’s less than 20 yuan from Tangkou Town. The front desk and the hotel staff are very enthusiastic and will ask you about the itinerary to give you some suggestions. If you need a car, you will be introduced to you by a local master who is familiar with the road. The prices are uniform. You can talk to the master directly. We went to the hotel entrance at 7.50 in the morning. The master who picked us up to the Zhaixi Interchange Center has arrived. I will tell us about the fun, and the precautions for going up the mountain. The breakfast in the hotel should be boasted. There are all kinds of breakfast in the box. It is very rich. The refund machine appeared a little when I checked out in the morning. Question, the deposit refund was received on the way to Zhaixi. The lady at the front desk called me to check it. In short, it was a very pleasant living experience. I hope that the store’s business is prosperous, and I will stay there in the future. The first stop of our graduation trip, the owner of the hotel was very nice. We couldn't find the hotel location at first, so we called the owner and he came to pick us up right away. The hotel facilities are very complete and all are intelligently controlled. It's really cool. The hygiene is also very clean. I encountered such a good hotel at the first stop of my graduation trip! On the edge of the Emerald Valley Scenic Area, there are beautiful mountains and clear waters. You can even see the smoke-filled Huangshan Mountains when taking the hotel's sightseeing elevator in the morning. We went hiking the next day, and the boss carefully introduced us to the scenic spots, gave us trekking poles, route maps, and raincoats, which was really thoughtful. He also sent us to the transfer center. I hope Boss B&B will get better and better!

I won’t go into details about the inn, let’s talk about the food~ My aunt recommends Hao Zai Lai Restaurant. When you come to Anhui, you must try the Huizhou stinky mandarin fish and hairy tofu. I ate both here and highly recommend it, especially with rice. Haha, it is suitable for people with unique tastes like me. This is the last one. The late braised pork was a disappointment. The way it was cooked here was in an earthen pot. It may be because there were no side dishes. It was very greasy and I got tired of it after eating two or three pieces. Overall, it's pretty good. The price isn't particularly expensive, but the specialties are a bit more expensive. I order two dishes every time and pack the rest to heat in the microwave for breakfast. Mainly a diligent and thrifty housekeeper😊

Location: Very close to the 汤口 entrance, 15 min walk to the nearest bus interchange to see the mountain. Cleanliness and amenities: Superb as this hotel just newly opened and everything is in its prestine conditions. There is also a laundry room free for use. Service however, was debatable. While staff were very friendly, they definitely took advantage of our lack of knowledge around the town. 1. Offering to drive us to the Emerald Valley (翡翠谷) but charging us an exorbitant price, 5 times more than what DiDi (car hailing app) was listing (only telling us the price once we got on the car, felt like they just made up the amount on a whim). The emerald valley was not an inaccessible location, but we were told that it was and therefore heeded their advice. 2. Sold us Emerald Valley entrance tickets for twice the price and told us that we were getting a discount. Fortunately, the tickets were void as it had already been used, which we got our refund back after. We then bought tickets at the entrance for half the price as we were foreigners. So now im wondering, what discount was she talking about? 3. Lastly, after facing some issues with the dryer not properly drying our clothes after waiting for 2hrs, I approached a staff for help. She was lost and confused but still trying to tell me I did not operate the machine correctly, when all she did was did exactly what i did and said that “its working, just have to wait for the dryer to heat up”. When i asked for her to elaborate on how it works, because i did the same thing and i waited for 2hrs, she just repeated the same info again. Like. If you don’t know and you can’t help just say so? Don’t act smart and be unhelpful? Take these experiences as a pointer if you choose to stay here. Do your own proper research as much as possible so you don’t get taken advantage of like we did! Nonetheless, Huang shan is still a beautiful place, definitely worth a visit.

I really like the pure white decoration style of the exterior of this hotel. It gives people a simple and fresh feeling. From the lobby to the rooms, every detail shows the designer's intentions. The layout of the room is simple and elegant, without too many cumbersome decorations, but it makes people feel extra comfortable. This simple and warm design style not only makes people feel happy, but also makes people relax during a busy journey. The environment of the hotel lobby is very spacious and bright, giving people an open feeling. The hotel's service is also very attentive, and the staff are warm and friendly. They can always meet our needs at the first time, handle our problems, and provide better guarantee for the quality of our stay.

The front desk service of the hotel is very good, the rooms are clean, the facilities are advanced, and there are smart devices. Especially the hotel’s travel housekeeper, Miss Xie, is very professional. We designed a travel route based on our specific situation and found us an equally excellent tour guide in Xiaojiao. It was very convenient to sign up for a group tour at the hotel for the first time, saving a lot of trouble. What is worth praising is that the location of the hotel is really good. It is very convenient. You can just walk across from the transfer station in the scenic area. There is a large parking lot in front of the hotel. Parking is free when you stay in the hotel. Overall, it is very good and a very good stay experience.

The location of the hotel is very good, the surrounding scenery is great, and the decoration is warm, comfortable and smart. The boss and staff are very welcoming. I had a cold that day and received cold medicine from the boss. The room we booked came with a private hot spring. There is also an outdoor hot spring above the hotel. After making a reservation in advance, the staff will help clean and change the water, so you can enjoy clean hot springs indoors and outdoors. This B&B is a very good choice for friends who want to take a bath and relax after climbing the mountain!
