Park Royal Homestay Club Cala Puerto Rico

I stayed here, for the first time, with my husband and two teenagers on Labor Day weekend, and we had a great time the entire stay, however... I've tried to report a review from someone who posted misleading information with malicious intent, unfortunately TA states that they cannot factcheck that review so it's up to me to provide the accurate information on the subject... 1. Too many one-star reviews from the same date, from users with only one contribution. 2. People who stayed in August forgot to mention that by the time they stayed, Hurricane Ernesto struck by and I doubt that they were not aware about the weather mishap (I'm a local). 3. The manager IS available; in fact, she was the one who checked us in and I can't believe how patient she remained amidst unruly guests. 4. The security employee gently guided us to the check-in room. Maybe it was someone else who was rude instead of him? 5. Parking lot was NOT muddy; if so, then we would'nt have been able to park our golf cart there. 6. As for the "dirty shoes from lot to villas", there are TWO showers along the way given that the two swimming pools are pretty close. 7. Users who complain about only one guest being able to approach the tiny check-in space forgot to mention that there are ongoing renovations on the lobby, therefore both front desk and snack areas had to be temporarily relocated and no, it wasn't like a walking closet either, rather like a living room from a villa because that's the space that the occupy in the meantime. As a PuertoRican myself, and having stayed on this property over the weekend, I can assure you that these people who complained were all LOCALS who took advantage of an online discount for the weekend (so did I), and all of a sudden they feel entitled to demand luxury accomodations. Who invaded pool spaces with loud boom boxes without leaving the property? It wasn't the staff; GUESTS did. Who messed their villas so much that someone stormed on the check-in room saying "We got the place dirty already so you better take care of it"? It wasn't the staff; GUESTS did. Who has ruined furniture so much that even recent kitchen drawers and upholstery look tired already? It wasn't the staff; GUESTS did. Would I have preferred modern, cul-de sac-accomodations? Of course I would! Would I have preferred not paying for the parking lot? Of course I would! But for the price of US $480 with taxes included for a 6-people villa, I wouldn't make such a fuss about it. I'm sick and tired of entitled people who, on top of being rude and obnoxious to staff and disregarding consideration to other guests, try to demean a place with false accusations.

Was Beautiful but should of have the parking free

Excellent location and a great resort.

My room was antique and did not look like the pictures advertised... very old looking.... also I checked out early, stayed only one night... Stayed on May 11, checked out on the May 12... no refund was issued for the May 12 nor May 13th. Very bad business tactics

Great place with wonderful harbor view. Clean and current furnishings. Pools nice and clean and well managed.

We went days without backup power, no AC, which caused humid rooms and slippery floors due to Tropical storm Ernesto killing the power. The bathrooms weren’t cleaned after being serviced. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The pools and bartender were excellent. There’s no hot tub. The staff is friendly and helpful. There’s a small grocery store within walking distance. It’s close to the beach and highway. I would use this property as a last a resort.
