I recently booked a one-night stay at a hotel with an ocean view. After a long drive from San Francisco, all we wanted was a clear room to rest. When I entered the room, the window had bars and overlooked a wall. The room smelled of mold and cigarettes. The room still had instects on the floor. I immediately went back to reception to speak with the manager. I received a response from the front desk that he is unavailable for you because he is busy answering emails. The receptionist was so rude that he began to yell at me and refused to assist me. When I finally spoke with the hotel owner, he advised me to call booking and cancel the reservation. When I called booking, the cancellation request was automatically sent to the owner, who refused to accept it. After dealing with the owner and representative for over an hour and refusing to refund me for providing incorrect information about the room, he decided to kick me out of the room I had paid for. In about an hour, the owner went to the room where I had only left my luggage and told me to leave. He did not refund my money and informed me that I could not stay here.

A really dirty hotel and the room isn't clean at all. There are no clean sheets, no toilet paper, no shampoo, no refrigerator, and there are some dangerous people in the hotel who are doing ***** and disguising themselves.

It was fine. A little far from the beach though.

The “room” we had was a door inside the lobby that said PRIVATE…former office? Unfortunately we could hear numerous people coming into the Lobby throughout the night and having meaningless conversations with the front desk staff..all in very loud voices. Long black hairs on the floor in our room. Huge faded spot on the bead spread hidden by a sheet fold over. Definitely not the room shown in our booking photo. The bed was comfortable and nice pillows which would have been great without all the nocturnal noise. Super nice check-in/out staff. Allowed us to bring our beach bikes into the room for safety. Fine for one night if you get a quieter/cleaner room.
