The hotel is very old and the staff is bad. The facilities in the rooms are inadequate. For example, there are no slippers in the rooms. Last night I had to go to the reception twice to ask for slippers and waited for about an hour. The food is a complete fiasco. The breakfast options are very few and everything is stale.

Old Palace Resort is an amazing place - beach, pools, all inclusive (if you pay extra) and the staff are so friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. I already extended my stay by 2 nights and wish I could stay longer. I would definitely stay here again

Pros: The room and bed are large, the environment is quiet and beautiful, you can see the blue sea in a few steps, the breakfast is rich in variety, there is a bar at night, you can enjoy free cocktails🍸 Disadvantages are that the room equipment is aging, the bathtub is a bit old, it is a bit far from the city, and shopping is not very convenient

The location and outdoor environment are very good, but the room is too shabby. The plug of the wash basin broke on the first night and someone came to repair it. The air conditioner leaked on the second night and it leaked again in the middle of the night. The shower water was not hot. One of the bedside lamps was broken because it was a power problem rather than a bulb. I was too lazy to fix it. The buffet restaurant is very crowded every day, mostly German tourists. The staff is OK, but not bad. The only advantage is that the sea view is beautiful and it is only a few steps away from the beach. The room staff is very nice and even made towels for us.

The hotel basically needs taxis for travel, so it is suitable for staying in the hotel and lying down. The buffet room says 500/person, but the restaurant says 750/person when signing the bill. After communicating with the lobby manager, it was charged at 500/person. If you are not good at English, you may encounter such problems.

Fourth time in this beautiful hotel , came back home a week ago. Last time we were here two years ago ,and this time it was even better than before. All the staff were very polite and nice. Outstanding was our experience in the main restaurant where all happenings were under surveillance of a 1.st Asst. Restaurant Mgr. Ahmed Mahmoud. Everything was organized quickly ,on time ,everyone of guests get a free table and get everything what they want to drink or anything else. 1.st.Asst.Restaurant Mgr. Ahmed Mahmoud was every time here and took care that everyone get a more than satisfying service. This year the restaurant was organized perfectly with full restaurant of guests. The food was delicious and various ,everything for everyone. Many thanks to a 1st.Asst.Restaurant Mgr. Ahmed Mahmoud. Every gest was welcomed as a very important guest. Many thanks to a waiters in the restaurant Ahmed Kemal and young Mostafa ,they were very polite too ,good and quick in their work ,we always get what we need very quickly. Many thanks to Mina and his team on the Beach Bar , they were very polite too. Entertaining team was nice and fun ,but they need more girls in the team. Many thanks to Olga in guest relations who several times asked us if we are satisfied with accommodation ,service , and do we need anything ,or to change something ,she was very polite too. Our room was always clean and tidy thanks to Omar Sameh who took a very good care for it. The beach was nice ,clean and and we always had enough space around our beach umbrella. The water was warm and clean. It was beautiful ,relaxing holiday again. We found a new friends here from Cairo : Mirette , Fedy and Patrick ,a beautiful young family. We send them many greetings ! (We forgot to change phone numbers to communicate on Viber , we spoke only something about Facebook) Big greetings to all staff in Old Palace in Sahl Hasheesh ! Next year we hope to come back here again !

The most beautiful holidays in our favorite hotel. Perfect and clean rooms, kindly personal and the best manager of restaurant Ahmed Mahmoud and Amr Elrawy. The food was excelent. Hope to come back next year. Location about this hotel i sperfect

Old palace is our second home it was our 6th time there. Can’t get enough from going there. All people have a very lovely smile and they are very helpful starting from the bellhop. At the reception thanks MR wael, anwer, olga (she is caring about our satisfaction) At the restaurant, Manger Ahmed mahmoud, khaled el attar, mohamed attya and all the staff who working with them. We can’t forget mention the variety and the quality of the food .. million thanks to the greatest chefs, you are doing great.. chef mahmoud el tayb and chef megally and the rest I can’t remember all! At bars: manger: mahmoud, amr naser, mahmoud , mina, youssef (the service is more than perfect) Beach service: manger ahmed fawzy and all the staff of recreation. They are working in hot weather walking all the days to help us. Especial thanks to Arabi, ahmed adel & Moemen. The beach is very clear and sandy. The pool is very clean. Room service: they are honest people.mr omar sameh made us a beautiful shape celebrating our anniversary with small cake at the room See u all soon.. a very very recommended hotel. Very nice hotel, excellent staff, good tasty food. very friendly and helpful staff. There’s a clinic which can deal with any circumstances. This hotel is very beautiful and the staff is excellent, food was delicious, peach was sandy and clean, Thanks Mr. Ahmed mahmoud restaurant manager and chef Hassan, rooms have moderate level of furniture, wifi was excellent, i need to repeating the hotel visit

We have stayed here in July and August 2024 for 25 days and found the hotel to be very relaxing. The facilities and ground are kept clean and tidy, same goes to the rooms which get cleaned each day and amenities refreshed as well. Yes, the furniture and rooms are not brand new but that was never an issue as all worked well. One thing, we had no ceiling light in the room, so in the evening it was quite low lit. Pool was always clean, plenty of room and sunbeds. Beach was maintained daily and there were two small coral reefs right in front. If you want better sea world experience, definitely go about 100 metres the the left of the hotel to the old pier. So many fish and beautiful scenery (say some stingrays and lionfish as well). Food in the main restaurant was always good, it changes slightly every day and there is a grill option each day with different meats. What I found myself craving is some lemon/lime type of dessert, but I know egyptians have different cakes and pastries with heaps of sugar and honey so it is not a complaint at all. The Italian restaurant was very nice as well, with good selection of courses. The brazilian had more limited options, still tasted nice. The downfall was the seating was outside in 36-38 degrees, so it got very hot very quickly. What is really a plus here is the staff. We didn't really interact with reception much, but they were always polite and friendly. Staff in restaurants were always nice and same goes to bars (especially pool, since we stayed there for the majority of our time). Olga from guest relations was checking frequently with every guest, whether the stay is good or whether there have been any problems, so it is nice to see they care. One small issue was, the kids often play in the pool, very close to the in-water seating and often splash water around which then gets into some drinks. Other than that, it was very relaxing time.

I will enthusiastically recommend it to all my friends. The food was not only delicious but also impeccably clean, ensuring a delightful dining experience. The entertainment team, especially Kimo, DJ, Joe, and Nastia, were incredibly active and talented, bringing immense joy to our children throughout our stay. Their efforts made our vacation truly memorable, and we are grateful for their dedication. We are already looking forward to returning, especially to enjoy the breathtaking beach and explore the stunning coral reefs. The service was exceptional, with every need anticipated and met promptly, while the rooms were impeccably clean and wonderfully comfortable. Above all, the entire staff was remarkably helpful and friendly, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Thank you to the hotel management for providing such a wonderful and excellent service. We can't wait to visit again!"
