There is no bathtub in the room, Ctrip has confirmed it. After entering the hotel, don't keep waiting just because someone is helping you check in and telling you that you have to wait for your room. We arrived at five o'clock and were told that the room was not ready. The hotel swimming pool closes as soon as the sun goes down, which is earlier than get off work time. The hotel has a free Italian restaurant offer, but it needs to be in advance. Therefore, if you only stay for one day, you will basically not be able to enjoy it. Of course, if you stay for two days, you may not be able to get it. The hotel provides all-inclusive meals, which are very good, and wine is also provided. The hotel is actually very big. Passing behind the swimming pool is the bluemakadi hotel, which has swimming pool performances every night. The bar at the entrance of the hotel is free before 12pm, but it says there is no ice, so I don’t order cocktails. Table tennis, tennis, and billiards are all available, so you can spend a day or two here. The hotel is a ten-minute walk to the beach, and you can walk straight across without leaving the door. There is no elevator in the hotel, so be sure to ask the waiter to help you carry your luggage, especially if it is heavy.

Stayed for three days, all inclusive package was very enjoyable. The room was very comfortable, the facilities were a little old but ok. The sea was beautiful and the beach was nice. The buffet in the main restaurant was much better than expected, and the a la carte dinner in the beach restaurant was also very good. The most distinctive Arabic restaurant was not booked, so I can't comment on it. It is recommended to get familiar with the environment and book the restaurant as soon as possible on the first day of arrival, and dinner must be booked one day in advance.

I never write reviews unless I'm very happy or very sad, I'm only 4 days into holiday, yet after second day I felt I really wanted to write review on this place, I have never been to Egypt before, I arrived very tired and was made too feel soooo welcome 🙏🏼 this place is amazingly clean and tidy, immaculate, and very beautiful, the gardens, grounds just spotless, nothing is a problem or too much trouble, everyone extremely helpful, kind, polite, I've never been a fan of buffet restaurants while aboard but I have a routine already that suits me, my day starts at buffet restaurant with Mustafa Hafez making my amazing omelette breakfast, just how I like it, perfect 👌🏼 and on the way there I'm greeted by the very happy Hassan making bread, who doesn't speak my language, I was asking him questions about the bread making, and he did everything to answer me, using a phone app, how lovely and kind that is, going above and beyond 😊 and bread is yummy 😋 from there I go to the massive pool, which is very clean and a beautiful blue colour, lined with massive palm trees, easy to get a sunbed, each bed has a covered area for shade, the pool barmen happy to bring you drinks Hanna and Ragab, but I also like too get up and get served at bar by Ibrahim and Ahmed, they all make drinks how I like and want, and plenty of alcohol, amazing service, very fast, and friendly, funny and kind, again everything so clean, I'm entertained by the crew Tatinana, Marley, Cedric,Sami and Rock doing funny dancing to get everyone into holiday spirit, lots of activities, and jokes along the way, again making me feel as a solo traveller, that I have friends, I'm family, getting everyone involved, I then eat outside where the lunch, if you don't like buffet, they have sandwiches, popcorn, ice cream and hot food which is different daily, I choose pizza 😀 that Yousry cooks for me from scratch, with whatever ingredients I want, and so much care taking handling my food because I have allergies, again everything so clean, the beach is only a 3 minute walk, which is stunning, you can walk along beach for miles, each hotel has its own area, along with bar, btw only soft drinks, beer and wine here, but also do food, again everything is spotless and beautiful, I'm just so impressed, my room is spacious with balcony overlooking pool, the shower is ginormous, I gather was originally a bath that was ripped out and replaced with a shower that could fit 8 people, the bed is big and very firm, so comfortable, of evening in reception bar Ibrahim and Hossam fill my glass with more drinks, as I'm walking to the bar they are already getting my drink ready, Hanna still working and now pool bar closed he is in this bar still serving me, they all work so hard, sorry I can't mention everyone, the entertainment crew still at work gone midnight entertaining us getting people up dancing, raffles, Olympics with 4 other hotels, I was in the limbo team, I can't say enough about this place, totally took me by surp

Highly recommend especially if you are a family with young kids. We went as a group of friends and still enjoyed it, the water park has slides suitable for adult fun and also kids with a special area for kids only. The only negative is that the beach is a bit of q walk away, however there are consistent shuttle buses. The reception team and manager are very polite and helpful, the life guards and water slide guards are all very nice and are there for your safety and happiness. The food was amazing, there is also food all afternoon by the pool. Pools are big and there are more than one with an all adult only pool for pure relaxation. Very safe resort just keep your belongings near to you. I want to give the biggest thanks to the animation team, they are the ones who made this holiday, from day time entertainment to evening shows and night outs, they truly look after you from their hearts wanting you to have a great time in Egypt. Big thanks to Moose, Kariam, Omar and David. I very highly recommend this resort.

We used Tui to book the hotel and flights. We flew Tui or as I like to call them the QVC of the skies, as soon as you board the flight you are constantly bombarded with their desire to sell you something. I booked the exit seats and the extra leg room and space is worth every penny. Stella Makida is a lively hotel so not to everyone’s taste, It’s hard to find a quiet spot. Bad Christmas music blasting out at reception and main restaurant, loud music at the beach and even music pumping out at the end of the jetty is enough to drive you mad if the reason you came on holiday is to get away for some peace and quiet. We paid for a sea view and the first two nights the music at the beach bar shook the windows until the early hours. Stella was very good and relocated us to slightly quieter room but the hotel next door Labranda Royal blasted music out to just gone midnight every night. The buffet food at the hotel was beige but ok. Many of the meals were lukewarm rather than hot, I was informed by another guest that there is a microwave in the main restaurant where you can reheat the food! They have several al carte restuarants, the indian was good, the chinese was really good and the italian was nothing was tasteless. Although this is an all-inclusive hotel you still have to pay for the use of the tennis courts, mini golf, billard table, other hotels I have stayed in on the Red Sea have these included. Wifi is free at reception but you have to pay for it within the rest of the hotel grounds which in this day and age seems like a money making exercise, it’s also not cheap! The staff were amazing and a credit to this hotel especially the warm smiles from both Marina’s in the reception area who cared about you having a pleasant stay. There are a lot of shops attached to this hotel but beware you will be fleeced out of your money. 200 Egyptian pounds for a packet of crips which are clearly marked on the packet they sell for 10 Egyptian pounds, ouch! Makida bay is a windy area and on the first two days of our holiday the red flag was up so we could not go in to the sea. Snorkelling off the jetty is some of the best I have ever encounter. We spotted a huge variety of fish including a leopard shark and great spotted ray. What they need to do is clean the rubbish out of the sea. By the jetty you will be swimming through piles of rubbish which is an absolute disgrace and should be the hotels responsibility to clean up. If you are in to your birds then Caspian and Royal terns as well as Osprey’s fish regular along the shore line and a resident pair of kestrels can often be seen around the grounds. Along with hooded crows small warblers and endless supply of sparrows down at the beach restaurant. I only wished we had bought a pair of binoculars out with us. We took the Tui trip to Luxor. Not cheap but well worth the long trip. It’s more of a whistle stop tour of the sites and includes a pointless trip to the alabaster shop. I had an issue with our re

If you waiting for your flight this hurdle will be an amazing option! People at the front desk very friendly! As soon as you arrive at the airport you can call to the hotel and they will send a car for you, this will cost $10. They have a nice breakfast.
