Stayed for two nights at this 5-star luxury hotel. The staff were friendly, and the food was good. The suite is spacious, and from the veranda, we saw baboons and impalas in the morning and evening. It's a 20-minute drive from Victoria Falls, with a cricket stadium being built nearby. I only had one issue with the low water pressure for the first two days, nearly catching a cold after a cold shower. Despite that, I would return if visiting Victoria Falls again.

This was as close to a perfect hotel experience as I have ever had. The setting was remarkable, with a watering hole that attracts wildlife, such as giraffes, visible from both the main deck and our room's private deck. The room was very large and was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The food was very good, with enough variety that we never felt tired of eating at the hotel. The guides, both for the game drives and Victoria Falls, were exceptional and always well-equipped with whatever extra items we might need to be comfortable and have a good experience. The main thing I would say about this hotel is that people have put great thought into what makes a good guest experience. They think about the details, and that makes all the difference. When I daydream about being back in Africa, I'll daydream about being at the Stanley and Livingstone.

This is one of the most beautiful and luxurious stays in Africa. It’s hard to know where to begin with their praises. The safari grounds connected are home to 11 black rhinos- let’s start with that. The grounds abut the game area and we got to watch so much wildlife from our room, our balcony, sharing drinks on the lawn and while having a beautiful gourmet freshly prepared meal in their restaurant. What a privilege to be surrounded by such incredibly beautiful landscaping, flowers, gorgeous room interiors, and a staff that attended to our every need. We were pampered beyond belief while enjoying produce from their expansive garden. The owner has obviously meticulously sculpted every detail of this fabulous property. The staff is well trained and attentive to every detail. Alton was our waiter on one of our first days. What a pleasure. Every day we felt we had someone assigned to be sure all was well. After being on safari for over a week prior, the luxury was so welcome. As an aside to show you their above and beyond service, we forgot a wood carving we bought there, so we wrote them to see if they had found it and about having it shipped. The cost was prohibitive- what we expected, but the management has (incredibly!) offered to hand carry it on their next meeting in the US and actually send it from there! They come with our highest recommendation!

The friendliest most welcoming staff we’ve ever encountered. You feel valued and relaxed during your time there. You must do the evening safari with food offered in the hotel’s private reserve. All in all a wonderful experience and you will want to come back

What a place!!! Am I in heaven?? If you don’t mind to have excellent food, hospitality and service with cirafs, elephants, monkeys etc so this is your place. Safaries among wild life, fishing tiger fish on Zambesi river, Night adventures and a boat trip on that huge river - fantastic !!! A trip for a lifetime !

We had the most wonderful stay here. The hotel is absolutely stunning and the staff are wonderful and incredibly impressive. We had 2 interlocking suites which had views over the watering hole and every day we saw zebra, giraffe and impala. We also did the rhino game drive and saw 4 of them. Our guide was also very knowledgeable and clearly loved his job. My son was unwell soon after we arrived having got an ear infection in Cape Town. The hotel organised for a doctor who came out at night within an hour. I cannot recommend this place enough. Having now moved on to another 5 star hotel in Botswana we are appreciating the Stanley’s attention to detail even more and realising just how unique it is. Definitely one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
