Hotel Mongibello Ibiza

Beautiful hotel and pool area, but the beach close by isn’t the best. I’d suggest staying at the hotel and driving to other beaches. Parking is free and reserved for your room which is nice. We had a terrace suite which was beautiful, the room was spacious and the view was amazing.

We stayed for 13 days as a family (father, mother, daughters aged 13 and 16, grandmother, and brother) in two suites and one room, and we truly enjoyed every moment. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, due to a twisted knee just before our vacation, we had to rent a wheelchair, but this was perfectly arranged! After a minor accident on the beach that resulted in a bloody knee, the receptionist didn’t hesitate to assist immediately. The whole day, everyone was either cleaning or helping guests, which added to the pleasant experience. The breakfast was perfect, and the retro style from the 60s and 70s was flawlessly executed—from the pictures on the walls to the wonderfully relaxing background music. The location, on the edge of the charming town of Santa Eulalia and next to a lovely beach with a snorkeling bay, made it all even better. We all had an amazing time, including our 13-year-old daughter (it’s an adults-only hotel from 13 years and up), who said she had the best vacation ever. I could go on with compliments, but if I had to suggest a small improvement with a bit of humor: please make sure there’s enough pool chalk for the billiard table so I miss fewer shots! View and location is excellent. Gorgeous hotel. Beds are a little hard and the music round the pool wasn’t as expected. The first day it was as imagined 50’s and 60’s style, but then it went a bit off for the next couple of days. Staff very friendly.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Mongibello in Aug 2024. I never write reviews, but I'm writing one now as I was surprised by the negative reviews here! The hotel is beautiful. We paid extra for a sea view room and I would recommend that highly. STUNNING rooms, and stunning views over the pool area and the sea. The non-sea views would surely be a little underwhelming compared to that. Yes, people do leave the towels around the pool area to 'reserve' pool beds early in the morning, even if the hotel policy says you can't do that, but it was still fine. There's space for everyone. And just do it yourself too when you go down to breakfast! Breakfast was AMAZING. Great selection. It's definitely better if you go earlier. If you arrive later some of the food items will have run out (beans/hash browns) and the queue for the egg man will be longer. We had a car and the public parking was fine. Yes, a little chaotic at times, but we managed to find a space when needed. Pay for a suite if you don't want to have the faff of parking in a jam-packed car parking space. The whole hotel was gorgeous. Probably the best place I've ever been. Wonderful pool, comfy day beds, yummy club sandwiches and ice coffees by the pool. I cannt share one fault.

From the moment you arrive at the hotel you will be blown away. The team on the front desk are very professional, 3pm check in is later than normal but they provide you with a lovely shower room with clean towels to freshen up. We arrived at around mid day and were able to get a bed around the pool, the sunbeds are so comfortable and the pool area is spotless. The guest relation team are constantly checking you have everything you need, ordering drinks to the sunbed was no problem, special mention to Luca & Miriam who went above & beyond. Our seaview room was stunning, we slept with the doors open as the rooms are completely private, aircon is the old style ceiling fan which sits well with the decor and was fine even in the August heat. We loved the breakfast room, very clean plenty of coffee machines rarely queued, the choice was extensive & there were so many tables to chose from no problem with sitting at an uncleared table. There’s a supermarket immediately opposite the hotel to top up on water etc for your fridge. Short walk to the harbour where’s there’s a great choice of bars & restaurants. Alberto at reception was really helpful with local recommendations & ordering taxi’s was no problem, rooms were cleaned daily to a very high standard. We really can’t fault the hotel loved every moment of our stay. Highly recommend.

The hotel comes across as a very cool and stylish place, calling itself “hedonistic” which might be true. The pool is the centre of the hotel, great and comfortable loungers make it perfect to enjoy and relax. Absolutely gorgeous. The crowd at the pool fitted perfectly well into the style of the hotel; hip and beautiful. I cannot praise enough the staff at the pool bar: Luca and his team delivered an outstanding service, friendly and with lots of humour. I had booked a deluxe room with sea view and I liked it a lot. A nice beach is accessible with different options to jump into crystal clear water to have a fine swim. The concept of the hotel is “Amalfi style” which has been done very well. Also, the tunes that were present in the lobby and the pool area were chosen very well to the taste of the guests. There is a quiet area with some pine trees where one can find peace to nap a bit. I loved that option. Breakfast was good but not really outstanding as well as the served dishes in the pool restaurant. The only negative point is the attitude of the management: I flew to Ibiza with an infected throat and felt awful at arrival; I was on medication and asked the reception for a bathrobe because I felt cold. The management just blew me off with the remark “no bathrobe for deluxe rooms, only for suites”. I offered to pay a daily fee for using a bathrobe but no chance at all. I was told it is “their protocol” and that’s it. As I have booked with Dertour I complained at my travel agency and the Dertour lady did her very best, but NO bathrobe was given to me. To be honest, I have never experienced such a ridiculous attitude and although the staff was very caring with me, I have to share this experience.
