Marvell Club Hotel & Apartments

The hotel is beautiful,clean and smells amazing.Plenty of sunbeds and staff friendly. Food had a good variety although evening meals not too hot but there is a microwave available to heat up. Local beach rocky but there is a small beach a few roads down on the left. Area ok but lots of places closed down

Ok guys this is very first initial observations on arrival about 30mins ago. Hotel reception clean spotless guy in reception courteous helpful but this was at 1:15am! Good lift to first floor room corridors ok. Noticed some wear and tear on next doors door but corridor clean tidy. Step into our room and a bit disappointed. I’m so used to 4/5* all inclusive rooms and was expecting something similar silly me. For some Reason I was surprised that it was an apartment with sofa bed instead of a proper sofa! Room very clean Spartan feels a bit dated but ok. Bathroom is very nice modern clean bright. So marks for room out of 5 = 3. My partner would score higher. However worst is to come. I was gettting all excited to open the curtains walk out into the balcony and see possibly a sea view or maybe a pool view. But no. This is the side that operators and hotels obviously hide. I pull open the curtain and lo and behold no sea view no pool view not even a view of the high street just roof tops surrounded by roof tops air conditioning units and other rooms looking down on me. Sight of other hotels and more roof tops. My disappointment was so obvious. Holiday ruined. But no I shall wait until morning and hopeful have a more positive perspective but honestly if they advertised these rooms I wouldn’t have booked or paid so much. They have to keep the hotel clean and tidy, the staff have to be superb the drinks and food need to be exceptional to make up for this robbery. Honestly if i knew there was a very good chance of me getting this room I would not have booked it therefore I feel robbed. Sorry Marvell Hotel. So here we are next morning and no not much better. Beds are hard so be warned. The rooms do not offer any sense of comfort or escape as they are purely functional and are not meant for you to sit in and relax. Breakfast is standard fare looks and tastes ok. Pool area again looks ok the coast is rocky and a walk down to the nearest beach. Paid €7 for 2 x 1.5 litre bottles of water in the hotel! Really Marvell! Not impressed with that piece of robbery! There is no vibe here. We are Looking to go home already. Advice If you are used to all inclusive 4* then don’t come here it’s not value for money. It’s not worth the time and money. For basic family holidays it’s great. And it is very clean. We just booked the wrong hotel at the wrong location. Definitely not worth the money we paid.

I have stayed at Club Marvell twice, July 2022 and September 2024. The hotel is excellent, the rooms are spacious and modern, and very clean, the food is excellent, and the staff are very helpful. The pools are good especially the children s pool which has several water slides. This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

The reception staff are very helpful especially Jill, & the young man , the only problem we had with this hotel, when we first got to hotel the room stank of ammonia which made my wives chest very difficult to breath , after waiting a couple of hours for the manager to arrive we eventually to moved to another room, which we were very pleased with no problems, , The manager was very helpful in sorting the problem out, The night entrainment in evening starts at 8-30 which is kids time , clears the bar very quickly till 9-30 then the adult entrainment starts , all in all this is a very child friendly hotel for families not for couples.

Everything was spot on, the staff we excellent, food was superb. The only down side was one particular waitress was pushing a trolley around the restaurant, which was a bit canteen like, and was was insistent in throwing the cutlery into a bucket which made a clattering noise which was a little annoying. That said it was an excellent hotel and a good time was had. We would recommend and go back.

Our 3rd visit to this hotel and would readily recommend. Our only negative are the lack of information in the room and a late start for evening meal which is 7:30. Perfect for sunsets with Kumaras 2 minutes away and water taxi 5 minute walk away at the side of the Amare hotel. Many bars and restaurants in the area and only around 30 minute walk to the main port.

Really friendly hotel with staff to match, so relaxing with an aquatic theme which is chilled and calm wherever you go in the hotel vicinity spotlessly clean, and serves up wonderful food with a great option of drinks, great pool and sun bed area to relax and watch the world go by, fantastic hotel 👍👍

We had a nice room with a sea view which was cleaned well each day. The staff were all very friendly. There was not a great deal of choice of foods but what was there was very well made and full of flavour. The hotel was well maintained and very clean all round. The area around the hotel had a lot of closed pubs and shops. The real let down was the entertainment. Out of the seven nights we stayed, there was only three acts on, which were all quite good, but the other four night there was meant to be quiz nights and Karaoke but the guy who was meant to do it came out and sat about chatting to people and made no attempt to get things started at the time advertised. He came over to us with a smarmy attitude and made excuses that there was not enough people to start, but there seemed to be enough to me. He was just a lazy character who couldn’t be bothered and left a lot of guests disappointed. Overall it was a nice enough hotel to visit.
