Hotel Silk Inn Madarao

I stayed here for 2 nights this time for skiing. There is a place to change clothes before check-in and after check-out, and a coin locker (for a fee) where you can leave your luggage, which is inconveniently located in an annex that is a little far from the hotel. At dinner, you can refill your own rice, but on two occasions the rice wasn't where it was supposed to be, and when I pointed it out, I was asked to wait a while, and had to wait quite a long time. There were no glasses for water, and the food was cold, so I honestly can't say it tasted very good. The table next to me said the drink they ordered never arrived. The official website says that there is a yukata, but there is none in the room, and when I asked the front desk, they said it would cost 500 yen, and even though I stayed for 2 nights, they did not change the towels, and it said that it would be 300 yen to take a bath after checking out. Even though it's there, it's actually 400 yen, and there's a lot of wrong information. Well, up to this point I thought it was within the range of what I expected considering the price, but on the first night, there was no hot water in the shower, so I had to wash my body and hair with almost no water. What I got into. Everyone hurriedly washed their bodies and ran into the bathtub, complaining that it was cold. I never expected that I would be washing my hair and body with water during the cold winter months. It was very disappointing, even though hot springs after skiing are one of the pleasures. I wonder what I would do if I caught a cold. On the second night, I was worried about taking a bath, but I was relieved that there was hot water. The room we stayed in was large and generally good, the customer service was not bad, and considering the price, I don't think it was bad overall, but I was shocked that there was no hot water in the shower. It was spot on. I wonder if there will be a repeat?

We used it for one night with 6 people I'm happy to have a family! Thank you☺ It was the first time to check in non contact type, and it took a while because of the malfunction of my mobile phone, but the unknown point was not troubled because it was possible to confirm it immediately by the telephone or the email. All facilities were clean and comfortable! The kitchen was saved because it was good that there was a whole set of tools and seasonings and nothing was prepared. I thought I could enjoy more if there was a teapot and a coffee dripper☺ I was able to lend a barbecue set and have a fun barbecue on the terrace without worrying about the rain. 🍖🍖🍖 My parents were bad at foot, so I was saved by preparing a futon on the first floor. Unlike the common house, the children were playing in an open space. I would like to use it for more than two nights this time because I was short of one night. Thank you for this time🤗

Stayed at hotel for 5 nights. Old rambling hotel with good sized bedrooms. Reception usually helpful, unless you spoke to some who had limited english, but usually someone there to help. Breakfast buffet was extensive enough to find plenty of choices. The lay out of the hotel requires a bit of walking depending on where you are and what facility you are looking for in Hotel. The ski hire/lunchtime restaurant area is at one end of building. The Indoor/outdoor Onsen was quite good, but always busy , mainly to it being open to the public ( for a fee ) as well. The ski in ( almost ) ski out facility was great for G/kids with us to learn to ski.

I booked a 4-person family room for 4 nights in Jan and we had a great time. Lisa (the manager) and her staff went over and above to accommodate our every need, including transfers to/from the station up the mountain, specialised meals to accommodate my husband's seafood allergy, a takeaway meal for our son when he was sick, getting our laundry out of the dryer when our son got lost on the mountain, even a special treat for my son 16th birthday etc, etc, etc. Amazing hospitality - highly recommend! Additional benefits - super comfy beds, cosy bar with great cocktails, fabulous outdoor hot baths (and spacious showers), pool table, laundry, ski hire nearby, very few queues on the slopes, lots of restaurant options in the area. We look forward to returning in the near future.

The location is acceptable, 3-4 minutes' walk from the bus station and 2.1km from Tokari Nozawa Train Station. The distance to the ski resort is about 500m. It will feel a little far when you carry your equipment. The facilities in the hotel are complete and new, and the mountain view outside the window is great.
