"The hotel's exterior looks a bit old, but the rooms are newly renovated, making them quite modern by international standards. The bedroom is spacious, and the bathroom is clean. Our room was located above the lobby, offering great views from the floor-to-ceiling windows with no noise issues. The free airport shuttle bus was punctual, and the driver kindly helped us with our luggage. The shuttle departs from the hotel entrance every half hour on the dot and takes 10 minutes to reach the airport. This makes it easy to estimate the shuttle times for the return trip from the airport. There aren't many dining options in the immediate vicinity, so we ate at the airport."

"Everything was okay, the room was on the second floor and had a bit of an odor, but other than that, it was fine. Since I chose to pay at the hotel, I was asked to pay in Canadian dollars, but we later settled on RMB."

Prior to our stay, we had informed the hotel of our late arrival outside the usual check-in hours and included some questions regarding Fairmont Gold services and benefits. Unfortunately, our follow-up email was overlooked, which led to some miscommunication during check-in. However, the customer recovery service was truly top-notch. The team handled everything professionally, responded swiftly, and resolved the issue efficiently — a level of service that truly reflects the standards we expect from a premium Fairmont Gold experience.
We stayed one night in Fairmont Gold, and it was an absolute dream stay, especially for aviation enthusiasts. The views were perfect, and the Gold team’s service was exceptional.
What impressed us even more was the Manager’s follow-through. He personally took the initiative to look into what had led to the miscommunication and came to apologise to us later in the day. During our stay, one of us was also feeling unwell, and when we happened to meet him in the lobby, he remembered us from our earlier interaction and kindly offered to assist by arranging some medicine for us. These thoughtful gestures truly reflected the genuine care and attentiveness of the team.
Thank you, Fairmont, for turning what started as a small hiccup into a memorable stay. The premium paid for the Fairmont Gold experience was truly worth every penny, and we sincerely appreciate the hospitality. We look forward to returning again."

"I stayed here for one night while I was in BC on a biz trip before catching my flight home. The location was very convenient—only about a 10-minute drive to the airport—and parking was easy thanks to the large front yard.
The place itself was lovely: spotlessly clean, thoughtfully designed, and you could really tell the hosts had put a lot of effort into making it comfortable and welcoming. One highlight for me was the washer/dryer combo. It was exceptionally clean and worked perfectly, which was a huge plus after dealing with some less-than-clean laundry facilities elsewhere during my trip.
I didn’t get a chance to use the bathtub, but it looked fantastic and had a really unique design. And I have to mention the little details too—the toilet paper was surprisingly high quality, which genuinely made me go 👌🏽👍🏼lol
Although there wasn’t air conditioning, the fan provided was more than enough- blows icy breeze.
Overall, I had a very comfortable stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place, especially if you’re looking for somewhere with reasonable price, clean, convenient, and close to the airport."

"This was my first time at an air bnb. I always prefer staying at good hotels. But Vancouver shangrila house just blew our mind! It was such an amazing find and it was nothing less than a deluxe hotel. What a gorgeous house! The interior was lush, the ambience was super cozy and above all the entire house was just spotless. The house and the room smell amazing and even the toiletries provided was thoughtfully curated in a way that the showers would feel like a warm hug. Our host Julie is a delight! She also gifted us an umbrella when she got to know we don’t have one and it was pouring outside. We definitely look forward to going back to Julie’s humble abode to stay for a couple days! A big shout out Julie for all the efforts she put to make us feel at home."

"My husband, son, daughter-in-law and I stayed in the Deluxe Family Home while visiting Vancouver. The grounds were beautiful with many flowers in bloom. The home was located on the first floor, making it easy to access from the parking area. The unit was very clean with modern appliances. There was a Keurig coffee machine with K-cup pods provided. This was one of the few rentals in the Vancouver area that had two king beds, a requirement for my family. There were two bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The location was a short drive from the airport, a Walmart and several restaurants and take-out pizza. The only issue we had was during our second night. A family was staying upstairs and we could hear a child running back and forth until well after 10:00pm. I then heard the child crying and finally the noise stopped. Not really a problem, just a little annoying."

"This is a great hotel! The free airport shuttle service is so convenient. The drivers were very polite and helped with luggage, handling it with care both when getting on and off the shuttle – truly excellent.
The front desk staff member who checked me in was also very welcoming, making me feel right at home.
The bed and pillows in the room were quite comfortable, and the bathroom was bright and clean. I even wiped the floor with some toilet paper, and it was spotless. Very satisfied overall."

Our property is located in Vancouver Richmond, a 12-15 minute drive from the airport. The property is located in an independent house, which has two floors. The rented houses are on the first floor, and our staff live on the second floor. Free parking is available in both the front and back yards of the house. There is a bus stop at the door, and it takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the shopping center. It is very convenient to live and travel. We provide kitchenware, tableware, dining area, leisure area, smoking area, etc. The style of the room is minimalist, with no too much decoration. There are restaurants, supermarkets, banks, gyms, family doctors, pharmacies and so on near the property.
"Very friendly for first-time visitors to Canada. It's only a 20-dollar Uber ride from the airport. There's a Save-On-Foods supermarket within a 10-minute walk. The bus stop is just a two-minute walk from the hotel entrance, and a 15-minute bus ride gets you to Richmond Centre mall. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, perfect for a long-term, 'move-in ready' stay. I think I'll stay here again next time, especially when I need to catch a flight."

Guest UserThe hotel room wasn't very spacious, but its proximity to the airport was a huge plus. It's just a ten-minute drive away. The hotel offers a shuttle bus, but make sure to book in advance, as it can get fully booked. There are also many restaurants nearby, making the location excellent. With the SkyTrain and various bus routes close by, it's a very convenient hotel. They offer breakfast; although the selection isn't huge, it's enough to fill you up, and there's free-flowing coffee and hot chocolate, which is a nice touch. The rooms also come with a microwave, so you can bring food back to eat. Overall, it's a good hotel.

The service was incredibly warm and friendly! Thank you!
They provide a kettle for boiling water and a water dispenser for refills, which is very important to me! Chinese guests will appreciate this!
The bed was soft and comfortable for sleeping.
Wi-Fi was excellent.
The surrounding area is quiet.
The airport shuttle service is frequent, making transfers to and from the airport very convenient.
Overall, this hotel is fantastic!
I'll definitely stay here again next time.

The room was spacious and clean, and the location was convenient for transportation. Although the interior was a bit dated, it had many advantages. I recommend it. Facing the Fraser River, the view was pleasant. It was a pity that breakfast wasn't a buffet. Nearby, there's a Costco and a large Chinese supermarket called ”Fengying,” and for dining, there's ”Sea Harbour City.”

Cici PriscillaService: Very professional, efficient and friendly. Check in process was quick. The guy who checked me in ensured I stayed on the same floor as my other family members who booked a different room. Valet service is a nice perk. However, it can take longer waiting for the car vs us going to the car park lot ourselves.
Amenities: They have Dyson hairdryer which is a huge plus. Extra amenities are available upon request.
Room: Room is as pictured. My room was on the 8th floor and I could see the Richmond night market from my room. Bed is a bit too soft to my liking. Pillows are a bit high and hard.
Cleanliness: This is the only category where I wish I could rate zero. Most notably thing I noticed is there's dust on the hairdryer, I was fine with this. Until I got into bed, inspected all 4 of the pillows. Noticed on 2 of them, were a strand of hair (or eyelash?) And some dusts. This pretty much ruined my stay. I pushed these 2 pillows aside to the other side of the bed, after trying my best to attempt to ”clean” them in case I accidentally touched them... It was already past midnight when I got into the room to rest and in to the bed and found out about this. Didn't bother to call the front desk about it.
Overall this hotel is great overall. Location is not far from the aberdeen mall as well with car. Service is outstanding. Wish they'd retrain their cleaning staffs though.

Anonymous UserIt was my second time staying at this hotel. The staff were friendly and tried their best to arrange an early check-in for me even though it was only about 30 -40 minutes earlier than the official check-in time. Ryan and the manager were both very helpful.
The housekeeping staff were also super friendly. I accidentally went to the wrong building and they kindly helped me out. The hotel was clean and tidy as usual.
However, there are two things I need to complain about. First, the TVs in the room were still logged into the previous guests Netflix accounts. I couldn’t find a way to log them out so I ended up using their accounts to watch a movie which was a bit weird and concerning.
Second, the room door didn’t close properly. I didn’t realize it until I returned to the room a few hours later. I then figured out that you have to pull the door very hard to get it to fully close otherwise people can get into your room without access code.

Really surprised by this hotel. High-IQ, diverse staff (they have many languages covered) that had better service than many 5-stars I have stayed at: #1: I extended my stay through trip.com; normally, this is a comedy of errors: housekeepers knocking in the morning, front desk calling and asking when I'll be leaving, etc. This hotel handled everything perfectly without bothering me. On trip.com, you can make special room requests, but this is the first place that actually followed it automatically! #2: Smart facilities choices: QUIET door closers (this is a bigger deal than people realize; most hotels have cheap auto door closers that slam the doors, so your mornings start with the sound of slamming doors at 6AM.), huge in-room refrigerators (small ones probably cost the same, but are useless for guests), lovely patios looking at the Minoru Park, #3: Great location near a large mall and restaurants.
Areas of improvement: Breakfast was quite good, though I wish they had hash browns and they need to refrigerate the cream cheese (it says so on the label); had some bad stomach issues with that or maybe the shared serving utensils. Rooms could just use some touch up paint on the metal door frames and some parts of the walls. It would be fast and easy to have maintenance do one room a day. Finally, the air conditioners (heat pumps) are pretty noisy at times. Bring ear plugs.

Guest UserUnfortunately due to a medical emergency I was unable to make the trip from UK to Canada - I had to cancel flights, other hotels, car hire and excursions. I submitted medical documents and have been refunded for everything else even though these were ‘non flexible’ and ‘non refundable’. The Hampton Inn by Hilton Vancouver Airport/Richmond was the only booking not to consider a refund or even a credit note, even though medical document was submitted more than 48 hrs prior to check in time. This was the continued response from Trip.com:
Your booking at Hampton Inn by Hilton Vancouver-Airport/Richmond cannot be cancelled free of charge.
We have submitted a free cancellation request to the hotel on your behalf.
Unfortunately, we have not received a timely response from the hotel, and your booking will remain as originally confirmed.

The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus with a good variety of options. Overall, excellent value for the price. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.l

JayjThe location is great, really easy to find. There's a shuttle bus directly from the airport, so getting around is super convenient. There are tons of restaurants nearby, and right behind the hotel is a huge mall with lots of food options and even a T&T Supermarket.
