"Ever since I received such warm assistance from the Shangri-La during the pandemic, I've chosen this hotel every time I visit Chengdu. Although the hotel is a bit older, all its facilities are very well-maintained. The gym has a full range of high-quality equipment, and the changing rooms offer both steam and dry saunas, as well as a hot tub, definitely meeting a five-star standard. Towels are always plentiful. Housekeeping is punctual every day, and there's even a turn-down service between 6 and 7 PM. I find the breakfast quite good, with a variety of options including Japanese cuisine. The location is also excellent; for younger, more energetic guests, the Lan Kwai Fong bar street is just 100 meters to the right of the hotel. All things considered, the Shangri-La remains one of the top hotels in Chengdu."

"We stayed at their higher level 40 sqm suite paying HK$600/S$100 a night. There are many choices in Chengdu at this price point. The breakfast is acceptable for being included in the room price. PROs: The stunning view of the Anshun Bridge, the convenient location near Taikoo Li, lots of local food area. The bed we slept in was comfortable and aircon worked well, water pressure also good. The staff are very well trained to handle situations. CONs: The hotel is seriously showing its last renovation in 2019 age, the hotel shares other floors and same lifts with other commercial, residential tenants. See photos easiest to understand. I think this hotel is suitable for young travellers. We are a couple over 50."

"This stay was great! The front desk lady was very friendly and check-in was quick. She patiently answered all our questions. The room was spotless, and the bed was comfortable. The location is also convenient, close to shopping and dining. The breakfast had a great variety of both Western and Chinese dishes, and I noticed a lot of international guests during meal times. "Amazing hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very nice and it has a separate shower and bath tub. The reception area is also very nice and clean and the staff are very friendly. Location wise this was right next to Wenshu Monestary metro station making it easy to get around the city. The Monestary is also walking distance and worth a visit. The staff check in daily to clean the room and to ask if i needed anything additional which they deliver by robot. My room was on the 24th floor. Lifts came quickly too. They have a laundry room which is free to use and has a washer and dryer and detergent included. Overall I had a very pleasant stay and would consider staying here again if i am back in Chengdu."

"Because I came to see the concert, I chose this hotel, very close to the venue. When I first checked in, the front desk service was very good. I met the aunt in the elevator who didn’t know whether it was the aunt in the room or another position. I greeted us warmly and made us feel very kind. Out of the elevator corridor, clean and odor-free, and the room was clean and tidy. Then thank you for the young lady who was on the evening shift yesterday (forgot to ask the name of the young lady). My friend and I went back to the hotel at about one o'clock in the middle of the night. I rarely sweated all the clothes when I came out. Then the young lady was very good and very kind. She also helped me dry the clothes. When I called me to send clothes at three o'clock, my attitude was also very good. I rarely met such a friendly staff. It's a pity that I forgot to take a photo of the hotel, so I just put a few photos. I really recommend it! ! ! If you have friends who want to watch the concert here next time, you can set this one. It is very convenient to travel. There are a lot of food below."

"Really enjoyed our stay in the top floor suite with an amazing view overlooking Taikoo Li and the skyline. The location is perfect for a short visit, with Taikoo Li just outside, making it very easy to walk around. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive, responding to our requests and questions instantly, they even helped us fill up the bathtub/pool while we were out so it was ready upon our return! Also loved the projector screen to watch tv. Many amenities like snacks, towels, robes, slippers were also provided. Overall, I highly recommend and would definitely return!"

"Really enjoyed my 6 days 5 nights here! The staff here all are very helpful. Always ask us if we needed any assistance. I ordered 4 deliveries, they brought to our room even if I told them I can pick up at lobby. They even helped us for the laundry as the laundry was still in use during that time. The room was very clean! We checked in at night, they helped us to upgrade our room to bigger room. The amenities all provided! Love the shampoo and hair dryer. The place was quiet even though is in the city. Nearby has a lot of restaurants and supermarkets so it is very convenient. The only regret is I didn’t get to try the activities in the hotel due to time constraints but will be back for next round!"

From the moment I walked in, I had a great feeling about this place. The front desk staff were incredibly attentive and efficient, and they were quick to respond to any questions. The hotel environment is elegant, and the common areas are clean and spacious. My room was meticulously cleaned, even the corners were spotless, and there was absolutely no strange odor. The mattress was just right in terms of firmness, and the pillows were comfortable, making for a truly restful sleep after a long day of travel. The bathroom facilities worked well, and the hot water came quickly. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; I wasn't disturbed by any outside noise at all. The location is superb, making it very convenient for getting around and sightseeing. The price is reasonable, offering excellent value for money. It's perfect for both leisure and business trips. It's already on my list of preferred accommodations, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. I highly recommend it!

The hotel's location is fantastic; Wenshu Monastery is right outside the door if you turn left. We visited during a holiday, and there was no queue to enter the monastery from this side. The hotel is clean and hygienic, and the environment is elegant – a quiet oasis in a bustling area. The bedding was so soft I fell asleep as soon as I lay down. Breakfast was plentiful, and the coffee brewed by the owner was delicious. The staff were warm and the service was attentive. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Chengdu.

Pros: Very comfortable stay. I loved having a sofa to lounge on, a table to eat at while charging my devices, and a conveniently located luggage rack. The rain shower had excellent water pressure. They even provided a Dyson hairdryer and an iron, which was a nice touch. The large floor-to-ceiling windows were beautiful. The air conditioning was perfectly set and didn't need any adjustments – it's great how new everything felt. Cons: Having to switch elevators to get to the room was a minor inconvenience, but the hotel entrance and the building are separate, unlike some high-rise hotels where you might run into tourists, so I guess it's acceptable. The delivery robot was incredibly slow; it took longer than if the delivery driver had come directly to the hotel. Also, despite being on a high floor, there wasn't much of a view yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing the city develop in the future.

I didn't have much of a detailed plan for my short trip to Chengdu this time; I randomly booked this hotel, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise. It was raining lightly on the day I arrived, and I got a bit wet dragging my luggage. As soon as I stepped into the hotel lobby, I immediately felt a sense of warmth. The front desk staff noticed me and proactively offered tissues. The check-in process was relaxed and unhurried; they didn't just rush through the procedures and even kindly reminded me to be careful of slippery surfaces due to the rain. The first impression when I entered the room was how fresh and clean it was, with no stuffy odors. The layout was simple and comfortable. The bedding was neat and soft, and the lighting was gentle and not harsh. After a long journey, coming back to the room allowed me to completely relax. The bathroom was meticulously cleaned, with all the corners well-maintained. The water flow was smooth, and the overall bathroom experience was excellent. The hotel's soundproofing was good; it was very quiet at night, and I had a peaceful and solid night's sleep. At one point, when I went out, I accidentally left my umbrella near the elevator. I thought it would be difficult to get back, but I decided to contact the front desk just in case. The staff quickly helped me check the surveillance footage and successfully retrieved my item. This small incident particularly warmed my heart. Overall, my stay was very comfortable. The facilities were excellent, but what was most remarkable was the genuine service. It wasn't just a rigid formality but sincere and thoughtful care from the heart. It's suitable for both leisure travel and business trips. It was a very pleasant stay, and I will choose this hotel again next time I visit Chengdu.

The hotel's scenery is exceptionally beautiful, with a Chinese-inspired design and blessings extended to every guest. The courtyard is adorned with crape myrtle, pomegranates, and magnolia flowers, creating a sense of abundant beauty and prosperity. Flower-lined paths lead to picturesque spots, making every step a delight, and allowing one to forget all worries and simply immerse in the moment. The public hot springs are spacious, available both indoors and outdoors. The rooms are private villas, some with their own hot spring baths, and the温泉 water is natural radon spring water. The front desk managers, Helen and Li Yilin, were very attentive. I would definitely choose Fairmont Chengdu Hot Springs again if I have the chance; it must be even more beautiful in the autumn. This was a wonderful trip.

## Facilities: 1. **Outdated and Poorly Designed**: The facilities are quite old, and the design is impractical. For example, the shower and toilet are in the same area within the bathroom, with no separation. This means if someone is using the toilet, no one can shower, and vice-versa. 2. **Misleading Advertising**: Figures 1 and 2 in the hotel's promotional images, which are crucial for customers before booking, are completely different from what you see upon entering the room (as shown in the last three pictures). I'd like to ask the hotel management: where is the bathtub from your promotional photos? It's turned into a concrete basin, and it's incredibly dirty inside. There was no prior notification upon check-in – it's a complete mismatch from what was advertised. 3. **Hazardous Staircase**: The stairs in the room are extremely steep. You have to be very careful going up, and when going down, you *must* descend backward as per the hotel's instructions, because it's impossible to go down facing forward without falling. 4. **No Internal Elevator**: The hotel doesn't have its own internal elevator, and the staircases within the hotel are also very steep, making it genuinely difficult to carry luggage upstairs. ## Hygiene: The overall hygiene in the room is acceptable. The wooden floor on the second level is clean, but that dirty carpet really shouldn't be there. ## Environment: The hotel has been converted from a two-story commercial building. It's not noisy at night and is conveniently located within walking distance of the ancient city's snack street, Nanqiao Bridge, and the subway station. ## Service: Service is just okay. After checking in, they provide some guide articles about nearby attractions and restaurants, but that's about it.

On a long family road trip, I personally prefer staying in a five-star hotel. They tend to be more reliable than those 'five-diamond' rated hotels you find online. While these hotels might have older facilities due to their age, the hygiene, service, and food are consistently excellent! The price also isn't overly expensive, offering good value for money. Just a small suggestion: the breakfast could offer a wider variety of Chinese dishes; the stir-fried large chunks of carrots were quite disappointing!
