"This was my first time visiting Southeast Guizhou, and I stayed at the Dongxiang Lingnan Oriental Hotel. They offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the high-speed rail station and tourist attractions, which was incredibly convenient. Upon arrival, our room keys were ready, and the front desk staff provided a very thoughtful introduction to all the information we needed. I was also impressed by the room itself and the stunning views outside the window. What truly stood out was the hotel's dining. Both the breakfast included with the room and the other meals we had were incredibly abundant with a wide variety of choices. The flavors were also very suitable for visitors from out of town. Highly, highly, highly recommended!"

"“I am disappointed with this stay. I booked two rooms for one night. We checked in close to midnight, and one of the rooms had a very strong cigarette smell. We were traveling with a sick child, and even after opening the window, the smell did not go away and it seriously affected our sleep. I called the front desk and asked for a room change, even willing to accept a smaller room, but was told there were no rooms available. Later I noticed that rooms still appeared to be available online, which was confusing. The bathroom shower ceiling was also damaged. The next morning, after I submitted feedback via the hotel’s QR code, the manager apologized in person and offered a small gift, which I appreciate. But I believe the more important thing is to provide a clean,smoke-free room when guests report a problem. Families with children, especially those sensitive to smoke, may want to double-check that a non-smoking room is assigned. 这次入住让我比较失望。我订了两个房间,只住一晚,接近凌晨才入住,其中一个房间烟味很重。我们同行还有一个生病的孩子,整个晚上烟味都没有散去,严重影响休息。我第一时间联系了前台,希望更换房间,哪怕小一点也行,但前台表示没有空房。后来发现网上仍显示有房,对此感到疑惑。另外,浴室淋浴区天花板还有破损。第二天我通过酒店投诉二维码反馈后,经理亲自来道歉并送了小礼物,我感谢他的态度,但我认为,更重要的是在问题出现时,及时为客人提供一个干净、无烟的房间。如果是带孩子入住,尤其对烟味敏感的家庭,建议提前确认是否安排无烟房。希望酒店能在这方面有所改进。"

There is a natural squirrel nest under the floor of the room. For this reason, the boss specially changed this piece of floor to transparent glass, which attracted many people with children to check in😂 ❤️By the way, the local food made by the boss’s wife is also very delicious and the price is very reasonable. After packing up, you can go to the scenic area to play casually. The route is also very simple. You can take photos one by one along several check-in points. It is not very commercialized here, and the cultural landscape is very pure. You don’t have to squeeze with people. It’s really nice👍🏻"

The front desk staff were proactive and welcoming, even kindly upgrading me to a better room type. "You can tell everything from the photos. The first picture was taken right after we checked into our room. The second one shows the guesthouse from viewpoint No. 2, which is within walking distance; our room was on the third floor. The third photo was taken from outside on the ground floor of the guesthouse, and it honestly looks even better in person. It was raining when we arrived, and the mountain mist in the morning gave it a unique charm. We communicated with the guesthouse via WeChat a few days before our arrival, and it was by far the best communication experience we've had with any accommodation during our self-driving trip in Guizhou. The host even drove to pick us up and drop us off at the scenic spot entrance, and communication was very smooth. The guesthouse has only been open for a few months, so all the facilities are complete, very new, and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent; the tourist shuttle stop is just a few steps away. It's only one stop by shuttle bus to viewpoint No. 1, which offers the best overall view of the terraced fields, making it incredibly convenient. What truly stood out was their exceptional service. My husband had been caught in the rain a few days prior and developed a fever after checking in. The guesthouse staff were incredibly kind and helped us buy medicine, cooked noodles, and even made congee. Their service was truly heartwarming. I rarely leave reviews for hotels or guesthouses, but I wholeheartedly recommend this place!"

"A good hotel in Congjiang. The hotel lobby staff gave breakfast coupons to the children. The service was warm and thoughtful. The breakfast was also very good. I loved the rice noodles the most. We ate rice field fish on the first night. The next day, the boss killed the chicken. One chicken and two chickens were eaten. The proprietress was very careful, knowing that we came from Guangdong, and made it very light when we cooked. This really touched me. The dishes and meals I eat are fresh in the ground. I told the boss in advance what is delicious. Basically, I just rest assured to play, which is very worry-free. Regarding the accommodation, the whole is very clean, the sheets and quilts are washed by themselves, so it is very clean. And there is a detail that the slippers are re-sterilized, the disposable supplies are also very complete, and the toilet pads are all available. At the beginning, we planned to live for one day, and immediately decided to continue for another day. The cow and horse have been a long time, and this environment is really comfortable. The boss family is very enthusiastic, because there are 6 rooms in the room, so several of our guests eat in the restaurant, will chat, the overall atmosphere is very good."

If you drive, you need to make a reservation one day in advance and give your license plate to the hotel owner for registration. The drive from the service center to the hotel is about 20 minutes, so driving is recommended for convenience. The owner built and renovated the house himself. The room is spacious and clean. The room has natural light on both sides, and the view is very expansive. In October, the sun started to rise around 6:00 a.m. The hotel offers dining options. Dinner and lunch are served at the hotel, and the owner cooks his own meals. Recommended dishes include fish, chicken, and bacon, all local specialties. The rice wine is also very good."

"I heard good things about this terraced field guesthouse nestled in the mountains, and my stay truly exceeded expectations – I just have to rave about it! Pushing open the French windows in my room, I was greeted by an immediate view of the layered, natural terraced fields. Lush green rice seedlings snaked along the mountain contours, and in the distance, traditional Dong wooden houses were scattered across the hillsides. The entire mountain range was enveloped by dense forests, and when the clouds and mist drifted over the mountaintops, it felt like stepping into a secluded paradise. The highlight was definitely the viewing bathtub in the bathroom. Soaking in the warm water, I could look up and see the sprawling terraced fields and the blue sky with white clouds. During the day, I basked in the warm sun, just relaxing. In the evening, I enjoyed a bath accompanied by the gentle mountain breeze, which cured all my fatigue. The guesthouse itself is a rustic wooden structure, and the vintage horse lamps hanging from the eaves added so much atmosphere. Walking around the courtyard, I often stumbled upon bayberry trees laden with fresh fruit; the natural, rural charm was palpable. There's no urban hustle and bustle nearby. In the mornings, I woke up to the sound of birds in the forest, and a stroll along the field paths offered an up-close experience of rural farming life. In the evenings, I sat on the terrace, quietly watching the sunset paint the distant mountains. The owner and staff were incredibly simple, kind, and attentive, paying attention to every detail. While preserving the village's original, natural character, the facilities were clean and comfortable. Far from the city's anxieties, here you can immerse yourself in the beautiful terraced landscapes of the countryside while enjoying a comfortable and peaceful accommodation. It's perfect for unwinding and relaxing or for a short trip. It's already on my list for a second visit, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape to the mountains!"
