"Choosing Changliu Shanju for our trip to Mingshi Garden was absolutely the right decision! The hotel is surrounded by karst peaks and vast rice paddies, making it feel like living in a real-life wuxia fantasy landscape – the atmosphere is just incredible.
The check-in process was seamless with attentive and friendly butler service. Our room was spacious and clean, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows were simply stunning. Opening the windows revealed lush green mountains and rice fields. Waking up to birdsong in the morning, with misty mountains in the distance, and being able to admire such picturesque scenery from bed was amazing. The bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a wonderfully quiet night's sleep.
The rooftop infinity pool offers an absolutely breathtaking view. Watching the sunset against the rolling peaks from there was perfect for photos. The hotel's side gate provides direct access to a cycling path, so we could easily go for a bike ride or a walk. It's also very close to the Yulin Dam, just a two to three-minute walk, which was super convenient for heading back to the room for a shower after exploring.
The hotel also offers complimentary short-distance shuttle services. We used the hotel's business car for transferring to another hotel and for dinner, and the service was incredibly thoughtful.
Our child also enjoyed the complimentary sachet-making activity, creating a lovely memory of our trip."

"The hotel experience this time was great! It is very close to the attractions, a few minutes walk away, and it is super worry-free to travel. The room was clean and tidy, the twin bed was very warm, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and it was very stable to sleep. "A very satisfying trip! Since it was the off-season, there were fewer people, and the service was even more attentive. It's not just a hotel, but more like a community, with services like travel photography and a Chinese restaurant also open to the public. The coffee shop across the way, 'Dao Na Li', is a popular spot for Instagram photos, but hotel guests can enter for free.
The service was excellent! The package I bought included afternoon tea, a travel photography session, and more. They even packed up our afternoon tea for us to take away. The staff were all very enthusiastic and helpful in resolving any issues.
However, the restaurant, travel photography, and hotel seemed to operate independently. When I placed my order, it said I needed to book several days in advance, so I called before checking in. The attitude was good, but they kept telling me someone would contact me later, which created a slow information gap. The travel photographer added me on WeChat around 10:30 PM that evening, and the restaurant didn't add me. When I called to inquire, they asked for my room number, which I didn't have since I hadn't checked in yet. Upon arrival, the reception seemed a bit confused; I guess during the off-season, reservations aren't really necessary. There was also a tour group dining at the same time, with their guide using a megaphone to celebrate the festival, which truly gave it a 'community canteen' vibe in the literal sense."

"The hotel is newly opened. Although it is in an old building, the design is still very thoughtful.
There are carpets in the aisles to effectively reduce noise.
The bathroom is separated from wet and dry. The one we stayed in was probably not flushed due to sanitation, and the hair was still in the toilet.
Mattress is moderately soft
It's right opposite the county government. The soundproofing is good. The parking lot is also for your own use, which avoids competing for space with public vehicles."

"Detian No. 61 B&B was a wonderful surprise during our trip to Detian Transnational Waterfall. Its location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to the waterfall scenic area, making it very convenient for sightseeing. The guesthouse itself is peaceful and quiet, and the rooms are clean, tidy, and warmly decorated, making for a very comfortable stay. I especially want to commend the breakfast; although simple, it was delicious and featured local specialties, setting us up for an energetic day. The staff were also very warm, friendly, and provided meticulous service."

"Just look at the pictures, you can tell how beautiful the surroundings are! I definitely made the right choice; it's great value for money, and you can see the hotel owner puts a lot of effort into running the place. I do have a small suggestion though: if the front desk on the first floor were tidier, it would give guests a more premium impression. And if the hotel staff could wear unified uniforms (at least the tops), it would be even more perfect!"

"First, I highly recommend this place because of its location! After arriving, I learned that there are two accommodation areas in Shuolong Town: one located at the Detian Waterfall Scenic Area Visitor Center, where visitors must take a sightseeing bus to the entrance; the other is right at the scenic area entrance itself. We chose Yinquan Mountain Residence, which is right at the entrance, making it convenient for dining. The owner even helped us queue for tickets, saving us the 30 yuan sightseeing bus fee. Secondly, the guesthouse is newly opened, very clean, and tastefully decorated. The shower water pressure is excellent, and the air conditioning is great! Thirdly, the breakfast is excellent. Besides set meals, they also have porridge, soy milk, and noodles. The owners and their family are very kind and welcoming! Highly recommended!"

I booked a trip with two of my best friends to Lux Secret Retreat in Chongzuo, and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. The most delightful surprise was the hotel's signature bamboo raft afternoon tea. Because of the heavy rain beforehand, the water level was too high, so we couldn't go. Doris from the hotel kept a close eye on the situation for me and immediately contacted me and made a reservation as soon as it was possible on our check-out day. The bamboo raft gently glided through the clear water and lush bamboo groves, with delicate refreshments and fruit drinks. As we drifted, the unique peaks on both sides slowly receded into the distance, making for fantastic photos. My friends and I chatted and admired the scenery – the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. A romantic afternoon tea combined with thoughtful service – it was all wonderful!

Extremely satisfied with this guesthouse! I initially chose this location because the electric scooter parking at Yu Lin Ba (Fish Scale Dam) costs money, so I figured I'd stay here, see the dam, and then rent a scooter. That turned out to be a great decision – the location is incredibly advantageous, and currently, this guesthouse offers the best value and is the prettiest in the area.
The hotel rooms come with washing machines, there's a 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop, and a kids' pool downstairs. What really stands out is how attentive they are to every detail. Every corner is spotless. When I went to the Sky Mirror at noon, an auntie even specially cleaned the glass. The swimming rings by the pool were all nice and new, not tattered at all. The room also had a Tmall Genie, and the cleaning was impeccable. I arrived early, and they opened one room for me, and I practically watched them prepare the adjacent one. When we checked in, the staff immediately took photos of our license plate to link it to the parking system. The service was incredibly thoughtful, and we even received brown sugar as a parting gift when we checked out. A truly delightful stay!

The best thing about this place are the owners. Full of initiative and kindness, I am very appreciative of their initiative services.
For example, they asked if I already had transportation for my next destination, then how much I was quoted. Then they said that was a fair price if it was right to the hotel, to just check and verify if it is so. This is a very helpful guidance for out-of-towners.
The room is clean, and after 4 days of travel in the area, it is the only one that doesn't have any lingering smells of cigarette smoke. It is hard to find rooms like these, including rooms that claim to be smoke-free.
The view from the room is great and it is nice to watch the birds fly over the border river. Birds are not constrained by fences.
Bottles of water are provided, as are disposable towels, which I'm not a fan of, as well as soap, shampoo and so on. There is no separation of wet/dry areas, but slippers are provided.
You may not get the best photos in such a homestay, but it is functional and practical, and everything works well, drainage and so on, which is more important. I would stay here again and I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

The location is good. Just 300 metres to the official Mingshi scenic area and the Tourist Centre. There are shuttle buses at the Tourist Centre to Detian Waterfall every day at 8.30 am, 12 pm, and 4 pm at 15 Yuan per person. There are also return shuttle buses from Detian Waterfall to Mingshi.
Staying at Kongshan Xiaozhu, we can enter the official Mingshi scenic area for the 8pm night performance by showing the card given to us by the boss.
Travelling to Kongshan Xiaozhu is very convenient by coach from Nanning Xixiangtang Bus Station. The driver will drop you at the roadside just 1 min walk to Kongshan Xiaozhu. Return to Nanning is also the same. The driver will pick you up at the roadside.

Hey Shanghainese folks, listen up! It's only a few hundred meters from the actual main entrance, but for lazy people, it might be a bit of a trek. You can drive there, and parking is 30 RMB. The guesthouse itself is really great – clean and relatively quiet! It's the tallest and largest guesthouse around, standing out from the ones on either side, so the views are unobstructed. During the National Day holiday, things were busy, but the landlady kept her cool and was super responsive to everything, which I really appreciated. Honestly, after looking around this trip, the service here was better than other so-called high-end guesthouses. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. There's parking right outside. I didn't have the landlady buy the 80 RMB tickets for me because she couldn't get them until 8:30 AM, and the scenic area opens at 7:30 AM. I bought my 110 RMB ticket online directly and was the first one through the gates on National Day. By 9 AM, when I was done and leaving, the peak crowds were just arriving. Then I went back to the guesthouse, took a shower, had some noodles, and relaxed watching a Vietnamese drama – pretty sweet!

YouyiqiuFirst off, the hotel's location is great. It's really close to Yulinba (Fish Scale Dam) and located within a resort area that has more than just this hotel, including pricier options like Mingshi Yayuan. The only difference is that those hotels have river-facing rooms, while this one is set back a bit. However, the restaurant part *is* right by the river, so in terms of location, it's pretty much on par with the more expensive places. As a guest, you also get free bike rentals and access to the museum, which has a few popular photo spots. The downsides are that the room facilities are a bit old. As soon as you walk in, there's a damp, woody smell from the furniture, and there are no charging outlets by the bed. Also, the bicycles are quite old.

Guest UserI stayed for two nights, and the room was beautiful and very comfortable. It was really convenient for visiting attractions like Detian Waterfall, Blue Cave Coffee, and Mingshi Pastoral. The breakfast was also rich and delicious. I especially want to commend the hotel's garden behind the building. After dinner in Chongzuo, there's usually nowhere else to go, but the hotel's garden is a hidden gem! You can swim, barbecue, and even watch movies on a giant screen. After a long day of exploring, it was so relaxing to unwind with a cold beer, some BBQ, and a great movie, while the kids played in the nearby children's area. It was truly delightful!

Maitland GroomStay here! You can stay at the park gate. Drive up to it at night. Sleep here. He’ll go get your tickets in the morning for you and then you can be in the park at 8:30. You’ll arrive right as the people who have to bus in arrive but if you’re not in a group you can get ahead of everyone and enjoy the park and be on your way around noon

The hotel is located near the Guichun River within the scenic area, offering views of the Vietnamese people across the river, though the barbed wire fence is a bit of a letdown. I'd recommend eating before you check in or returning to the hotel to rest after you've had a meal elsewhere.
