"This B&B is located within Luoyi Ancient City. Though the entrance isn't grand, once you step inside, it feels like a hidden gem. It's built in the style of a traditional courtyard house, with a rooftop terrace that offers a close-up view of the Drum Tower. The whole place has such a wonderful vibe.
We booked a king-size room with a private balcony, which was quite spacious. The furnishings had an antique charm, and waking up to the sounds of roosters crowing and birds chirping was incredibly comforting. The mattress and pillows were just the right firmness, perfect for recovering after a day of sightseeing.
The bathroom amenities were also excellent, with a lovely fragrance. The towels were soft and comfortable, and surprisingly, they even provided a bath mat, which you usually only find in high-end hotels. It made us feel both reassured and pampered – seems like the owner has great taste! 😉 The front desk staff was also very welcoming and helpful, providing recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants.
However, there was one minor issue: the bathroom mirror in the room was a bit impractical. It was quite far from the sink, and there was no magnifying mirror 🪞. As someone who needs to get close to the mirror to put in contact lenses, I found this inconvenient. 😂 Overall, though, I would definitely recommend this B&B! 👍👍👍"

"I would like to express our sincere appreciation for the professionalism and warm hospitality we experienced during our recent stay at the Luoyang Marriott.
From the friendly doormen who welcomed us upon arrival to the pleasant fragrance that greeted us in the elegant, modern lobby, every aspect of our stay reflected comfort and attention to detail. The front desk staff were consistently courteous and attentive, making our visit both relaxing and enjoyable.
We stayed in Room 2112, which was exceptionally well maintained. The bed was clean and comfortable, the bathroom and shower were spotless, and the minibar was properly stocked. Although our sightseeing schedule in Luoyang kept us busy and prevented us from using the indoor swimming pool, it looked beautiful and very inviting.
The breakfast buffet offered an impressive variety of options, including hot and cold dishes, an egg station, fresh salads, cheeses and cold cuts, desserts, espresso coffee, teas, and cold beverages. I have a sensitivity to seed oils, and I would especially like to thank the kind lady at the egg station who graciously prepared my eggs in butter each morning.
I would also like to recognize Bella, Rachel, and Felix at the front desk for their outstanding assistance and for kindly accommodating our request to extend our stay by an extra night. Special thanks as well to Alvin in the breakfast restaurant, who always had my favorite picante sauce ready and provided exceptional service. Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail made us feel truly valued.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. The service, hospitality, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. In fact, our 8-year-old daughter has already said that she wants to return to Luoyang—and stay at the Marriott again."

"This is a good choice when I made my booking to an unknown city. Location wise so near to main attraction such as Louyang Ancient City. It does not sit exactly in the main street so you have to walk a bit roughly 200m inside. With luggage maybe found bit difficulty as uneven stone pathway to the hotel. Though this should not dampen your mood for staying here. I got ground floor. I guess those without balcony were given groud floor. It have high floor to ceiling window/sliding door facing the main pathway. Can't really open the curtain then everyone pass though will see you. Upper floor should not have this issue. There this side upright chair/cusyen where one can just sit and lounge around eating all the snack one just bought outside the street. TV is big I do not have time to watch any. I think tis the subscription version. All necessary amenities is available. 🤷 There's washing machine but only operational 10am to 10pm and I didn't have time to use it. Ground floor may have issue with sound as I can hear upstairs things moving around but I'm so tired from all day walk so this just temporary nuisance. All in all I highly recommend this place if the area you intended to visit is around the hotel."

"The best hotel to stay in Luoyang, perfect location in the oldtown part of the city. It ais a beautiful newly renovated heritage house turned into hotel. The staffs are amazing, very helpful. My husband got injured during this trip and the staffs so helpful with everything to make sure our holiday went smoothly. Room was quite big for 3 of us, all equipped with smart tech. Staffs speak abit english but there is a translator device and we communicate with wechat so no problem at all.

"During the May Day holiday, I stayed at the Luoyang International Hotel, which is the best hotel in Luoyang. From the reception in the lobby to the restaurant and guest rooms, all the staff were incredibly enthusiastic and attentive; I couldn't find a single fault. The room was spotless, and the bathroom featured high-end brands like Hansgrohe, plus a Dyson hairdryer. The extra bed was very comfortable, and they even included a complimentary children's breakfast, along with a free buffet dinner for the whole family. The executive lounge was also excellent! Last night, I experienced the spa, and the young lady who served me, who is also a dog person, and I chatted pleasantly. It was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The next time I visit Luoyang, I'll definitely come back just to stay here. They even laundered my dirty clothes, which will make unpacking so much easier when I get home. If 100 is a perfect score, this hotel is flawless and absolutely deserves full marks!"

The location is great, very close to Luoyi Ancient City, and the surroundings are beautiful and quiet.
The B&B host was incredibly kind and thoughtful. They helped us hang our clothes to dry and even lent us their phone number to order takeout 📱.
Every day, there was hot coffee and milk tea available, and before we left, they even gave us a small gift. It was full of warm hospitality ❤️."

"The owner was really welcoming and provided excellent service. The guesthouse is super close to Luoyi Ancient City, just a few minutes' walk away, and there are tons of food options nearby. We even tried a hotpot place near the ancient city that the owner recommended. I actually suggested this place to a friend who's visiting Luoyang soon, but unfortunately, they were fully booked that day. The service was top-notch, and breakfast was delicious. Parking was a bit tricky, but if you let the owner know beforehand to reserve a spot at the back and then follow their instructions when you arrive, it's fine. Overall, it's a great place and I highly recommend it!"

GGuest UserThe room was great, and my dorm mates were all very quiet. The common area is separate from the sleeping quarters, so singing karaoke there won't disturb anyone. The common area also has hot water, daily free drinks, and even mahjong. It's located in a bustling area, not far from the subway or tourist attractions, and the neighborhood feels safe. The female toilets and showers are separate, which I really appreciate. This is definitely one of my favorite hostels.

The service was top-notch, truly. I chose Christine after reading so many glowing reviews, and it definitely paid off! My parents couldn't stop praising the staff, saying every single employee they encountered was warm, friendly, and incredibly polite: from the lobby manager, concierge, and front desk, to the housekeeping staff, restaurant crew, and even the driver who took them to the station – every single one was just wonderful. Such a hotel culture and management level is truly impressive! On top of that, the breakfast and afternoon tea were incredibly rich and delicious. Next time we're in Luoyang, we're definitely staying here again!

There is no elevator, but I see that there are old houses around that have been converted into B&Bs, and none of them have elevators, so I can accept that there is no elevator, after all, it is very close to the scenic spot
You can tell from the details of the homestay that the owner has carefully arranged it. The service is also very good. When we checked out, he saw us taking our luggage downstairs and ran up to help us get it. Mineral water is free of charge. The disposables are also of high quality. The mattress is very comfortable. I am very satisfied overall and highly recommended.

1❌ Bad review: The auntie at the noodle station during breakfast didn't say a word, didn't answer guests' questions about the types of noodles, and was very rude?! Let alone a supposed five-star hotel, she didn't even offer a basic greeting. Is she a mute or disabled employee they hired???
Breakfast: For a hotel designed for over 250 rooms, the dining area is spacious enough and the food selection is rich, but compared to the room rate of nearly 600, the value for money is just so-so.

GGuest UserProblem 1. I arrived at the hotel shortly after 4pm on the checkin day but learned that the room was not available. They rented it out for the hourly rental and told me that the guest just checked out and would take 20 minutes to clean the room for me. I was stuned! As the check in time is 2pm, how could they rent the room out without knowing it was reserved for nightly rental and it only took 20 minutes to clean a room? This kind of operatons is not acceptable. Though the staff was friendly and apologizingly to provide me another type of room, the bed size ( twins) and the window view (no view) were all different and not better. At first I considered to switch what they offered at the time of my arrival because I was very tired. But then I decided to wait because the new room was not better.
Problem 2. At night, when I took a shower, I realized that the water stored in the shower floor like a little basin. It didn't and couldn't get complete dry even till next morning. See photo. The moles have alreay formed a cycle for a period of the time, but the hotel didn't fix it and still rented it.
Problem 3. Another day, I couldn't turn the heater on. The staff then told me they turned the heater off at the end of March.
I will NOT recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The location is also fantastic, right next to the entrance of the Longmen Grottoes scenic area, which is easily walkable. This made sightseeing worry-free and prevented us from getting lost. Inside, the hotel boasts an exquisite and elegant garden landscape. The environment is serene and tranquil, with lush greenery and beautiful scenery, creating a wonderful ambiance. Our room was clean and tidy, and the service was warm and attentive. Overall, it offers great value for money.

GGuest UserTraveling to Luoyang, this Lijingmen B&B made me experience the whole process! 📍 The location is excellent, just in the core of the old city, close to the Lijingmen City Building, within 10 minutes walk to Luoqi Ancient City and Yingtianmen, surrounded by authentic snacks, beef soup, water mats to eat casually. The environment of the homestay is elegant, the Chinese courtyard style, the small courtyard is super beautiful, the room is clean and odorless, the musk smells very good, the whole house is intelligent, and the details are attentive. The boss and the clerk are super caring, communicate in advance, take the initiative to help carry luggage, store items, and avoid the pit guide, as kind as friends. The price is full, the experience is far more than expected, and I will stay here next time I come to Luoyang!

GGuest UserThis is a great place for a tourist. The price and environment are very good. It's next to the train station and the transportation is very convenient. There are buses from the train station to Longmen Grottoes and White Horse Temple. The lady at the front desk was very warm. She was worried that I might not be wearing enough clothes because of the temperature drop in Luoyang. I recommend staying here.
