I had planned to go to Banna for a few days during the Spring Festival. When I booked a hotel on Ctrip, I found that the room rates had doubled. The 7 Days Inn chain, which usually costs only over 100 yuan, also soared to over 1,000 yuan a night (the people of Banna want to make back the money they didn't make in three years in 7 days). What I hate most is these places that rip off customers like crazy during holidays. So I decided to change my plan and go to Luang Prabang, Laos. Since it is not possible to buy D87 transit train tickets during the Spring Festival, you can only buy tickets in sections, first Kunming-Mohan, then cross the border in Mohan to Boten, Laos, and then Boten-Luang Prabang. I took the train to Mohan on February 13th and booked this homestay on Ctrip. It has a high score of 4.8 on Ctrip, so it must be good. I contacted the hotel before arriving in Mohan, and the hotel guy said that he would pick me up at the train station and send me to the border the next day. Sure enough, as soon as I got out of the station, the young man was waiting on the road in front of the train station. After checking in, I was amazed by the intelligence of the hotel, including smart curtains, smart toilets, and showers with digital temperature display. The room was spacious and tidy, and the bedding was clean and fresh. Although I have stayed in many B&Bs, this one is definitely the ceiling among B&Bs. Moreover, the guy is very handsome, and I’m worried that the girl will continue to stay! The only regret is that the hotel does not have breakfast, it would be perfect if there was breakfast.

I chose this one because unlike other homes, it is a modern room design, but the design of teak, very beautiful, the room is large, and the hygiene is cleaner than the average hotel. Hotel location is very good, located in the new district, nearby are all beautiful single-family buildings, there are several hotels, there are few people and cars, very quiet. Behind the hotel is the Nanla River. In the evening, you can take a walk along the river and walk to the Star Night Market. The hotel went out and turned left. It took about ten minutes to walk along the road. There was a rice noodle shop that was very delicious for many years. It is very convenient to take a taxi to other places for ten yuan.
The hotel staff are also very good, warm and friendly. In short, stayed for three nights very comfortable and very recommended.

Guest UserThis hotel was amazing. It’s only a year old but the amenities look like it’s brand new and inside of the room seems no different from a five-star. The only thing missing was a bathroom scale. Nice courtyard pool below just big enough to do some short laps and a kilometer from the night market. Interesting little area and they have street side eatery outside with a good view. The best part though is the manager Mr. Wu was exceptionally helpful. When he saw me arriving by bicycle, he did everything he could to make my stay more pleasant and even offered to go the extra mile with extra service and help. An unbelievable bargain, and a nice end to my journey.

Stanley The Travel ManThe hotel is closed to the bus station . It is also close to the hotel where you can take a direct bus to 望天𣗳. The food option is quite limited. The area appears dead. It is better to stay near the night market which is about 3 km away . That area is livelier and full of activities.
The hotel offers no breakfast which is a negative for me. The room is pretty basic. There is a low cocktail that you can’t use it as a table to have a meal.
There is not much to do in Mengle without a car. i checked out 1 day earlier because I think 2 nights is more than enough for a sleepy town.
The staff is helpful though . They offered good information about 望天樹.
The room is clean.I don’t remember if it offers any tea but definitely no coffee.
Overall, for the price that it charges, I don’t have a lot of complaints.

The Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden (XTBG) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is about 50 kilometers from Jinghong city. Its East and West sections are quite large, and a full day isn't enough to explore everything. I'd read stories about botanists from the Academy before, so I made the botanical garden a priority and decided to stay at a hotel within it. The room rate I booked online included entrance tickets, which made it a pretty good deal for two people. After our rental car arrived at the East Gate, I called the hotel front desk, and they allowed us to enter. On the afternoon of our arrival, we explored the larger East Section's rainforest, which offered a stunning view of various rainforest vegetation. The hotel's restaurant was quite good; the local dishes at dinner were authentic, and I even saw family gatherings of XTBG staff – quite a change from how their predecessors lived! The next morning, we hired a guide and toured the different areas of the West Section. All in all, choosing to stay at the botanical garden hotel made this trip incredibly rewarding.
Facilities: The in-room facilities met our needs, and the small balcony offered views of the flora and fauna.
Hygiene: Clean and tidy.
Environment: The botanical garden environment is unique and relaxing.
Service: The front desk and restaurant service were excellent, and the breakfast offered a good variety, including local specialty snacks.

First off, the hotel's location is absolutely perfect; it's just a 5-6 minute walk from the North Gate.
Next, the front desk service was exceptional. Upon our arrival, the hotel owner personally helped us with our luggage, and the front desk staff were very professional. The check-in process was smooth and seamless.
The breakfast was quite good too. For a hotel located near the botanical garden, it offered a surprisingly substantial spread.
Finally, we mistakenly booked a room without a window. When we inquired about switching rooms, the hotel generously offered us a complimentary upgrade.
Overall, if you're planning a trip to the botanical garden and intend to stay overnight, this hotel is definitely worth considering.

Guest UserThe room is quite big and clean, and the environment is good. Opposite is the garrison and next to the police station. The boss sleeps in the living room. He is very responsible and makes the guests feel safe. The boss personally picked up and dropped off guests at the station twice. Very enthusiastic. It is not easy for couples to open a store. I hope the platform will encourage them, give them more opportunities, and take care of them.

My stay here was absolutely fantastic! The room was spotless, and the bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, truly like sleeping on a cloud. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and attentive. Check-in was swift, and they even thoughtfully recommended some great local eateries. The location is also superb, making it very convenient for getting around. I'll definitely be choosing this place again!
The ambiance was elegant, the room decor felt very cozy, and all the facilities were top-notch. The breakfast spread offered a wide variety to satisfy all tastes. Overall, it was excellent value for money.

The overall is spacious and bright, with a little Thai style. But it is indeed like everyone said in the online review, the front desk brother is not cold or hot, not very bad, but not like a service industry. Facing the road, there is still some noise. But there is a more disgusting picture, I did not dare to use the glass cup in the bathroom when I brushed my teeth. I was going to brush my teeth with a tea cup in the room, but it turned out to be even more disgusting. There was water in both tea cups and dirty things.

What an unforgettable accommodation experience! It exceeded my expectations! The unique wooden house has a beautiful environment and fresh air. The room is fully equipped with air conditioning, private bathroom, and hot water supply. It is very convenient. Especially at night, it feels like being in a fairy tale world, and the most important thing is! ! ! Living here, you can also experience rainforest crossing, cave exploration and other projects for free, and have a lot of fun~. In general, the triangular firefly room here is quite good in terms of accommodation comfort and surrounding activities! ! ! Whether it is a family trip, a gathering of friends or a couple's trip, this is an ideal choice. Come again next time🤭
