She personally took me to several interesting areas and hole in the wall restaurants to try local specialties, and helped me with every part of my trip from planning day trips to buying bus tickets. The hostel is centrally located. The bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms are extremely clean and well equipped - toiletries, mosquito repellent, earplugs are all available for free. The roof is accessible and has a beautiful view of the city. Shiqi and her family grow tomatoes and tropical fruits up there and were very happy to share! I had a great time in Ruili thanks to Shiqi and her family's hospitality and kindness. Making dumplings on the roof with her and other travelers is one of my favorite memories of traveling in China. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area, particularly solo travelers - you will come away with a great impression of Ruili and new friends.
