"We had a wonderful stay at FX Hotel Tainan during our family trip to Tainan. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, making it a great choice for families travelling with children. One of the highlights was the family-friendly setup, with some toys provided in the room that kept the children entertained and made the stay even more enjoyable. The room was also very well maintained, with good cleanliness and a comfortable environment for relaxing after a day of exploring Tainan. The hotel’s location was convenient for visiting nearby attractions, food areas, and experiencing the local culture of Tainan. The overall service and accommodation experience were pleasant and met our expectations. Overall, FX Hotel Tainan is highly recommended for families looking for a spacious, clean, and child-friendly hotel. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again on our next visit to Tainan."

"The breakfast spread was amazing! If I could rate this hotel for breakfast, it would be 10/10 because of the variety and the service provided. The dining area was seated based on senior citizens, families with young children, ********* couples, foreigners. So people could dine in peace or have access to the food easily. The only setback was the dust in the room which is shown in the photos, they could have cleaned the lights and aircond vent and ensure that the vacuum for the carpet was clean."

"Overall, I had a very good stay and think this hotel deserves a higher rating, especially compared with some higher-star hotels I stayed at in Taiwan. The room was very clean and housekeeping was thorough. I also really appreciated the free coffee (black coffee) and water dispenser. The shared kitchen and dining area are very useful, as you do not have to eat inside your room. Having the garbage disposal downstairs is also great, especially as you do not have to keep food waste in the room. The air conditioning was strong, the fridge worked well, and there was also a large shared fridge/freezer and dishes available on the ground floor. The washing machine was excellent: 40 TWD for a roughly 50-minute wash and 10 TWD for detergent. Unlike many other hotels, it also had warm-water programs, and my clothes actually smelled fresh afterwards. The receptionist was very helpful, and being able to contact reception through LINE while outside the hotel was extremely convenient. They responded quickly and were always helpful. The elevator and stairs were also good. I especially appreciated that there is a guest toilet available even after check-out. Also, a hairdryer and slippers were also provided, which was convenient. A few negatives: the walls are very thin, the bed was too short for me (1.73m), hand soap was missing, and I found it unusual that toilet paper cannot be flushed. Check-in only starts at 4 p.m., which is quite late. One additional thing to note for taller guests: the bathroom ceiling is quite low. The biggest issue was noise from other guests. There was a lot of loud noise after 11 p.m. and late into the night. It would be very helpful if the hotel introduced clear quiet-hour rules and reminded guests at check-in to keep noise down after around 10 p.m. Regardless of where people come from, being considerate of other hotel guests should be basic courtesy, especially late at night. Apart from the noise, this was a very good hotel with excellent facilities (see pictures) and helpful staff."

"The hotel's location is super convenient, it's a great 10-minute walk to the station, and nearby attractions are all within walking distance. The room was new and very clean, but the toilet flush wasn't great; you couldn't throw toilet paper in, and it often took 3 or more flushes to clear everything, which was a bit awkward when staying with friends. The shower head also wasn't very powerful; if you adjusted the temperature to be slightly hotter, the water pressure would become very weak. The hairdryer wasn't strong enough either; even on the highest setting, it took ages to dry my hair."

"Front desk services are super, walking distance from the Tainan train station. Everything was going well, except the bathtub, and I preferred the shower. It was not the hotel's fault. They let me move to another room. Thank you for understanding me."

"Great place to stay in Tainan. Super close to the train station. Lovely quiet room at the end of the corridor overlooking the (empty) swimming pool. Friendly service, and a nice touch with snacks available at 9pm. The hotel is older (still need a physical key to unlock the room door) but it's in great condition. We didn't eat there, so cannot comment on the food or restaurant. We thought it was very reasonably priced for our Sunday night stay and would happily book again."

"Excellent stay! I got a great location for a good price. The window faces a wall, but the dehumidifier and air conditioner are fantastic. I stayed in a solo room that also had a desk and chair. I didn't take many photos of the room, so I took pictures of the restaurants nearby instead. First off, there's the Chihkan Tower historical site close by, and at night, there are lots of great yakiniku and izakaya spots. The lamb restaurant right in front of the place is a bit pricey, though. Come with friends if you're going there. If you have a lot of time with friends at night, try a Chinese stir-fried snack bar. Even if you're alone, you should definitely try the Chinese Eight Treasure shaved ice (Bā Bǎo Bīng). If you drop by the accommodation during the day, just go out and turn the corner, and you'll find a Japanese matcha shaved ice place called Hanamizu Uji Matcha Amamichaya. Their portions are huge, so it's best to dig in from the inside and add sauce as you go. Back to the accommodation: the air conditioning is cool, and there's a dehumidifier, making it very comfortable. It's great to keep using them to dry things without extra cost. For clothes, use the dryer that's in the pocket, and the dehumidifier also has an anti-bacterial clothes drying function. The air conditioner also dehumidifies. The water pressure in the shower is excellent. Don't lose your key! To open the door, just touch the middle part of the number pad with the key. If you don't know how, just ask; they'll open it for you."

"Super efficient accommodation, great service staff both speak Mandarin and English, nice interior/ decoration/ public area well maintained and really support solo traveller/ bath room clean: provide both soap and shampoo including hair dryer, hair oil, cotton bud, pad, necessary stuff. Also provided an area for cook, eat, sit, work, talk; free coffee, tea and water dispenser. I highly recommend this hotel! I stay in the hostel option the bed area is so nice! Large space, clean bed sheet, storage area beside bed, also has outlet and light. One concern is that in the hostel option there will be other people in the same room, pray for luck to not get a bad roommate 😆 ใครมาพักที่ไถหนานแนะนำเลยคับ! ดีมาก สมราคา!"

"Our first impression was the fungus-like smell, which may be due to poor ventilation. However, we were able to change another room with feedback to the counter. Yet, the service was slow, especially at the counter. Recommended if you could only afford a very tight budget."

"Quite satisfied, I'd come again. The room is spacious, and you can even do laundry. There's even a kids' play area, and the front desk offers complimentary snacks and drinks daily. 😎😎😎"
