"This hotel is incredibly stingy; they charge for everything. Luggage storage costs 5 pounds, and there's no complimentary water (you have to buy it for 2 pounds a bottle). Early check-in will set you back another 20 pounds. What's even more ridiculous is that the hotel doesn't even have a proper lobby. It's just a tiny, narrow entrance. All guests waiting to check in are crammed into this small space around a miniature front desk, with no area for anyone to sit and relax. Since there's no actual lobby, everyone is forced to squeeze onto a very narrow bench or, out of frustration, just leave. Apparently, there used to be a café, but during my visit, it seemed to be under renovation or they simply didn't want guests to use it. I saw staff members go into the café to put things away, but customers weren't allowed in, making the already tiny front desk area even more unbearable. I even saw a frustrated guest waiting to check in, with no place to sit, resorting to doing their makeup while standing. The room was also incredibly cramped. It was my first time staying in a hotel where the table and chairs were folded and hung on the wall. Once unfolded, the aisle became impassable, let alone having space for luggage. The two double beds were pushed together, essentially making it one large bed. The only positive was its excellent location, almost directly opposite the City Hall. Other than that, it was truly disappointing."
