"We were pleasantly surprised to find a hot spring bath in our hotel room, though I'm not sure if all rooms have one! The surrounding area is beautiful. Right next to the hotel, there's ziplining, tree trekking, and fishing, which is super convenient. In the evening, you can enjoy the mountain lights. It's also easy to drive to the city for dinner and grocery shopping; it only takes about 8 minutes."

"This ski hotel offers incredible value for money. Even though it's a 'capsule' hotel, it's actually more like a private room. It's spotlessly clean, and there's plenty of space for luggage. The common areas are also very comfortable. They have daily shuttle buses to Hanazono and Hirafu. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next Niseko ski trip!"

"The basic price was reasonable, but the service was terrible. The facilities were poor. The room was spacious, but the quality of the door seemed questionable, and the locking mechanism was very old-fashioned, probably because it was converted into a guest room later. There's a huge difference between lake-view and mountain-view rooms, and the front desk said almost all mountain-view rooms were corner rooms. I don't recommend the two-meal plan; although I expected frozen food, it was still incredibly unappetizing. The onsen was old-fashioned, with only one outdoor pool in a wooden hut. You could see the fireworks, but they were obstructed. I went to the lakeside pavilion for a day trip, which had fully outdoor open-air onsens – the facility difference was truly significant. The only thing worth praising was that the service was much better than expected; both the restaurant staff and the various front desk personnel I encountered had excellent attitudes."

"We had a great stay in Toya! The hotel is conveniently located near both the bus station and the train station, which made traveling very easy. The location is definitely one of its best features. The staff were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Just a heads up — there is no private bath in the room, so be prepared to use the public bath/onsen. But honestly, the onsen was very good and relaxing, so it was a great experience. Getting a taxi early in the morning (before 7 AM) can be quite difficult in Toya, so it’s better to arrange your taxi the night before. A taxi from the station to the hotel costs around 2,000–3,000 yen. Overall, a comfortable, relaxing, and convenient place to stay!"

"We got a Japanese room and this was clean. It's an older ”luxury” hotel that is showing it's age with wear on carpets, walls and bathroom. Hotel would add lots value just replacing hallway carpets. It's selling point is the waterfront view of fireworks and the rooftop onsen which provided a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. We stayed during foggy weather, and the view from the natural mineral water filled onsen was magical. Despite all the guests, Onsen was always empty when visited so nice unlike other hotels on this trip. Breakfast buffet quality was ok, and built for masses. Bus stop is right in front of hotel but buses run infrequently to jr station or to crater. Overall good memorable stay."

"Overall a great stay. The biggest advantage is the convenience. It is truly ski in ski out, which makes it very easy to access the slopes without needing to travel anywhere. The slopes here are also very beginner friendly. They are not too steep, which makes it a comfortable place to learn or practice skiing. I also took a 2 hour private ski lesson arranged through the hotel. Our instructor, Yuki, was very friendly, patient, and encouraging, which made the learning experience enjoyable. The only downside was the food. Both the dinner and breakfast buffet had quite limited variety, and the taste was just average. Considering the price we paid, the food did not feel very worth it. Overall, it is still a good place to stay if you want convenience and easy access to beginner friendly slopes. Just do not expect too much from the buffet."

"Nestled on the tranquil shores of Lake Toya, Hotel Premium Lake Toya (ホテル プレミアム・レイク トーヤ) feels like a secluded haven, a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The moment you step in, time seems to slow down, and your mind finds a sense of calm. Outside the window, the vast and captivating Lake Toya unfolds, with its picturesque scenery creating a living masterpiece that's unforgettable. Each guest room is meticulously crafted, like a work of art – spacious, comfortable, and adorned with warm, elegant decor. The private open-air bath in every room, with the natural fragrance of hinoki and elm wood, gently embraces your tired body and soul. At night, as soft lights illuminate the room, lying on the plush bed, the world feels wonderfully peaceful and tender. The warmth of the service is truly the most touching aspect here! From the moment you enter, you're greeted with meticulous and genuine hospitality. Thoughtfully, they arrange for you to change into comfortable slippers and offer a welcome drink; everything flows naturally and without pretense. I particularly remember a young female staff member with glasses who, with her fluent English and attentive, thorough explanations, made me feel incredibly comfortable and respected. Encountering such dedicated individuals during a trip is undoubtedly a rare stroke of luck. And the hotel's facilities are full of surprises! Outside the large public bath, complimentary drinks are available, along with table tennis and arcade games, adding a playful touch to your relaxation. The lobby features Japanese snacks and board games, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere; the relaxation area on the second floor is even more serene and comfortable – once you sit down, you won't want to leave. The dining experience here is simply sublime. Various alcoholic beverages are kept in ice buckets, freely awaiting wine enthusiasts! Dinner is exquisite and innovative; each dish is a stunning work of art, so delicious that it makes you want to return just for the food. Breakfast is delicate and abundant, awakening your taste buds and setting a wonderful tone for the day. The shiso soda thoughtfully provided in the in-room mini-fridge is incredibly refreshing after a hot spring soak, leaving a lasting, pleasant aftertaste. The toiletries have a delicate fragrance, leaving the skin soft and comfortable after use – even these small details are not overlooked. The overall service is friendly and sincere, without being overly familiar, yet maintaining just the right amount of professionalism. It truly feels like a 'just right' luxury experience! The hotel's surroundings are quiet and pristine, and transportation to and from the lakeside is convenient. Whether taking a taxi or using the hotel's shuttle service to JR Toya Station, it's effortless. It feels like Hotel Premium Lake Toya is not just a hotel, but a cherished memory of a journey. Here, the scenery is more than just scenery, and the service is more than just service – it's a reason to return to square one and rediscover the beauty of life."

"*⭐ Amazing stay at Toya Kanko Hotel with Lake View* Booked a Lake View room and the view was unreal — woke up to Lake Toya right outside the window. At night we could see fireworks from the room, zero crowds needed. Felt so special. *Highlights:* 1. *Private onsen option*: Booked a private family onsen and it was worth every yen. Clean, spacious, and relaxing with lake views. No rushing with others. 2. *Fireworks*: Room faced the lake so we watched the nightly summer fireworks from bed. Hotel staff even told us the timing. 10/10 experience. 3. *Room*: Spacious Japanese-Western room, tatami + bed. Clean and well-maintained. 4. *Location*: Right by the lake + short walk to shops. Buffet dinner had local Hokkaido food too."

I had a wonderful end-of-year stay at Chalet Ivy Weiss. Everything was great – the beds and food were excellent, the spa was comfortable, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. They even helped me book transportation to and from the hotel. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm skiing.

This is a family trip for two adults and two kids. And we stayed in the hotel for 7 nights, bfast and dinner included. It's apparent in the booking that we will have kids in the stay, and yet either Trip.com/hotel charged us meals for 4 adults for the entire trip. We ended up overpaying A LOT and wasting A LOT of food because the kids couldn't finish the set meal. Yet the hotel refused to adjust / refund. This was a serious mistake made by Trip.com / hotel. The hotel provided shuttle bus to the ski resort. Good that there was early shuttle bus around 815am BUT the return shuttle was way too early (4pm) for any serious skiers. The hotel should offer more options. There was no gym in the hotel and difficult to do some proper full-body exercise. Onsen set up was nice and clean and tidy. The public onsen wasn't used much so it ended up a big private onsen for us. We like the traditional Japanese cusine but very disappointed that the chef provided limited changes on the menu during our 7 nights of stay. We spent roughly same number of nights elsewhere in Niseko and the design of their menu was way better. Staff in general was very helpful and friendly and some of them spoke English and Chinese. The hotel was short of staff IMO. I could see them running around in the hotel. The ski equipment room could be equipped with better facility to dry ski boots and gloves. Shuttle bus was only offered to Niseko but not Kutchan station which was in fact not too far away anyway. The room was clean and well maintained. The location of the hotel was great too. It's 10mins from the Niseko station and 5mins from annupuri ski run.

I was looking forward to my stay in Setsu Niseko but I feel disappointed with their breakfast. Maybe it’s green season, breakfast choices is based on Ala carte and very limited to same menu; kids have to eat the same thing everyday, no other choice. Parking: no complimentary parking for hotel guest, you have to pay JPY2000/day. Pro: room is spacious, onsen is good, hotel is very clean!

The staff at Park Hyatt are incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The front desk ladies are not only beautiful but also very meticulous and considerate, especially kind and warm towards children. This time, I'd like to extend a special thanks to the hotel's reservations department for taking care of a returning guest like me by promptly upgrading our room, which made our trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel's ski valet is a major reason why we ski here; it saves so much effort when you're tired from skiing. Last year, I remember there were enthusiastic staff members who helped with putting on and taking off ski boots; it seems that service isn't available this year. It would be even better if it were! 😄 Thank you! 🙏

Since the club floor doesn't allow children, we only booked two rooms without private onsen, which felt more open and spacious. We had access to the lounge, and the snacks and cheese were delicious, with very Japanese-style coffee. Each floor had a small exhibition, which was fun to browse. The scenic open-air bath on the onsen floor offered unbeatable views. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, a Japanese-leaning international buffet with a rich variety perfect for sampling a little of everything.

Our group of four occupied a single room to facilitate conversation. While the room was somewhat compact for four beds, the breakfast offered was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The counter staff were proficient in English, and the hotel provided English television programming, unlike other establishments. The plus point of this hotel is the outdoor mixed gender onsen. The location is inconvenient, although there is shuttle bus provided but limited time slot. There is no convenience store or restaurant nearby. I was advised the late check out rate at ¥3300 per hour but I was confused when 1 of the staff advised another guest at ¥2200 per hour. Why double standard? I guess maybe it depends on the room type?

The hotel is beautifully situated on the shore of Lake Toya. Our room on the 7th floor offered a perfect lake view, and we even had a lake gull perch outside our window, seemingly welcoming us – it was quite charming! The hotel boasts excellent facilities; our kids absolutely loved the kids' space. Our whole family agreed that breakfast was a bit tastier than dinner. For dinner, the hotel kindly provided us with 60 minutes of complimentary soft drinks, which we greatly appreciated. The 'Star Hot Spring' definitely offers an unbeatable view and was incredibly comfortable. The male and female baths switch over in the early morning. We visited the 'Moon Hot Spring' the night before, which was very elegant, and then woke up early to visit the 'Star Hot Spring,' which had a captivating view. The hotel also offers discount coupons for nearby attractions if you simply ask. The bus stop is right at the hotel's doorstep, with clear schedules for both the outbound (Chuo-dori) and inbound (Motomachi) routes. The room amenities were comprehensive, and staff even came in the evening to prepare our futons, which were very comfortable – we slept wonderfully. Just a short walk downstairs, we found duck boats to rent; we had a great time with one pedal boat and one electric boat! The evening fireworks display was quite romantic, though the scale of the fireworks wasn't huge, it was still lovely to watch casually.

We stayed at Niseko Towers and overall had a mixed experience. The location is great if you’re driving, as there is plenty of parking available. Without a car, however, it may feel less convenient. The building has an onsen on-site, which was a nice touch after a long day out. One of the biggest positives is the size of the apartment — it’s very spacious, with more than enough room for large luggage and ski gear. This makes it comfortable for longer stays. However, there were some downsides. The bed was quite hard, and we both woke up with back pain during our stay. Unfortunately, the breakfast was disappointing — very limited selection and lacking in quality. It didn’t feel like much care was put into the overall hospitality experience. In summary, the space and parking are strong points, but improvements in bedding comfort and breakfast quality would make a big difference.
