"I had a pleasant stay at Miico Hotel @ Mount Austin. For the price, it offers excellent value for money. The room was surprisingly spacious and came with two comfortable queen-size beds, making it perfect for families or small groups. The air conditioning was strong and kept the room cool throughout the stay, which was much appreciated. The instant water heater worked well with consistent hot water, and all the lights and room facilities were in good working condition. Another nice touch was the lobby, where guests can enjoy complimentary drinking water, which is convenient after a long day out. Overall, if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in the Mount Austin area, Miico Hotel is a great choice. I would definitely consider staying here again."

"I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Honestly, this is one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced in my life. First of all, the bed is unbelievably hard — it feels more like sleeping on a wooden board than a mattress. On top of that, the air conditioning is extremely noisy, making it almost impossible to fall asleep or stay asleep throughout the night. What made it even worse is the pillows. They are excessively hard and uncomfortably high, causing serious neck discomfort. I genuinely do not understand how any guest is expected to get a proper rest under these conditions. I even called the front desk to request a different pillow, but was told that all pillows are the same and cannot be changed. This kind of response is completely unacceptable for any hotel that claims to provide comfort and service. Overall, this stay was a terrible experience. I will definitely not return, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values a good night’s sleep. ------------------------------- Saya sangat kecewa dengan pengalaman menginap di hotel ini. "The price is quite expensive for boutique hotel. The hotel location also difficult to find because the logo is small and covered by other signboard which is more bigger. Hence i am with OKU person with wheelchair the entrance is not suitable for them, but the parking at basement got ramp to pu the wheelchair. The hotel counter located at ground floor. The room i get is bit small - for muslim traveller - is difficult for them to pray because of the room space is too small. But the hotel location is great with a lot of restaurant, fast food and hypermarket. "

"As a Singaporean who frequently stays at hotels in Johor Bahru, this was the first time I encountered a check-in policy like this. The booking was made under my name, and both my Malaysian bf and I were present at check-in. However, the reception insisted on using only my identification for registration and required me to handle the tourism tax, refusing to use my boyfriend's MyKad for the registration process. I found this surprising because other hotels in JB that I've stayed at have been more flexible and allowed my partner to be registered using his MyKad when we checked in together. It would have been helpful if this policy had been communicated more clearly beforehand.nThat said, the stay itself was generally fine. My feedback is mainly regarding the check-in experience, which felt unnecessarily rigid compared to other hotels in the area."

"The hotel was located in a very quiet area but convenience stores are nearby. Quite near to setia tropika as well. At first glance it's a very quaint hotel but they have decent rooms. Ours was downstairs so we don't have to climb the stairs as they don't have any lift. Room smelled like cigaratte the whole time we were there and we can even hear the room beside us going and out of the bathroom and can even hear them shower hahah. So it's not noise proof. But it was an okay experience, attendant was pretty helpful."

No convenient store or minimart near to the hotel unless you drive to opporsite road, but no worries as there is vending machine at hotel lobby if you need to get some drinks or snacks. Fast check-in, room is clean and spacious. The room isn't well soundproofed, if you're sensitive to noise, you can bring your own earplugs."

It’s not in the main tourist belt, so you’ll likely need a car/Grab to get to key attractions. Additionally, building is located next to a busy road, especially during peak hours. The engine / exhaust sounds from vehicles were quite loud. Not a deal-breaker, but something to note for planning. *Amenities: 4/5 Good* The unit was well-equipped for a family. Had everything we needed for a comfortable 2D1N stay. Beds were comfy and the space worked well for our family. *Final thoughts*: Cube 8teens by Nest Home delivers good cleanliness, service, and amenities for families.
