Bucharest Hotels with Wifi

We stayed at the JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel for four nights in mid-June. We chose a 2 Double Beds Grand Executive Guest Room (57 m²) with Executive Lounge access. The room was very spacious, with plenty of unused space. It featured both a bathtub and a separate shower. All necessary amenities were provided: an ironing board with an iron, a Nespresso coffee machine with capsules and Ronnefeldt tea, a safe with an internal power outlet and scales, bathrobes and slippers, and Aromatherapy Associates London toiletries. Executive Lounge: They served excellent breakfasts with a good selection of dishes. The evening Hors D’oeuvrés were also magnificent! They consisted of two hot dishes, different each evening, along with various salads, appetizers, cold cuts, cheese platters, and desserts. Alcoholic beverages included three types of beer, two types of sparkling wine, and five different types of wine. The lounge is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, offering various coffee drinks, a wide selection of teas, three types of juice, soft drinks, and mineral water. The hotel itself is located near the Palace of the Parliament and the National Salvation Cathedral, but it's far from the Old Town and the nearest metro station. It's a large hotel (402 rooms) with a beautiful grand lobby featuring marble floors, columns, and elegant staircases. The hallways are clean, but not all floors have air fresheners. YouTube on the TV had poor reception and would constantly freeze. Parking is quite expensive and it's an open-air lot, not underground, for both hotel guests and external visitors – 150 RON per day. For reference: the large multi-level underground InterParking in the center of the Old Town costs 60 RON per day. Attention!! Be very vigilant when checking out of the hotel! Our check-in experience was simply excellent; we were given a great room, and they seemed pleased that we had chosen this hotel again for our visit to Bucharest. However, we were in for an unpleasant surprise at checkout! The reception asked us to pay an additional Travel Tax of 40 RON, which doesn't exist in principle! All necessary taxes (VAT & City Tax) had already been paid during reservation. In the end, we paid it but asked for an invoice with this tax. The constantly smiling receptionist printed it, but it didn't show any Travel Tax, only City Tax and the room rate! After we expressed our outrage, stating that they had made it up and were trying to cheat us, the receptionist made a call and then returned the 40 RON to us. However, she promised that the hotel would still charge this amount to the credit card we provided during booking and used as a deposit during check-in. The maximum cash deposit at this hotel is 800 RON. Of course, it wasn't the amount itself that upset us, but its illegitimacy and groundlessness! This is pure customer deception! All of this took us about 15-20 minutes and, naturally, slightly spoiled our overall impression of the hotel. Overall, the hotel itself is very good and quiet, apart from this unpleasant incident.

Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti Review Having recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Continental in Bucharest, I can confidently say this establishment lives up to its grand name. The hotel exudes classic elegance, and the service was nothing short of exceptional. Special mention must go to Daniel, the bell boy, whose dedication to guest satisfaction went well beyond his duties, setting a remarkable standard for hospitality. The hotel's layout is thoughtfully designed, making navigation effortless for guests coming and going throughout their stay. Its pristine cleanliness and classical architecture create an atmosphere of refined luxury that perfectly complements its historical surroundings. Location-wise, the Grand Hotel Continental could not be better positioned. Stepping out of the main entrance, guests find themselves directly on Bucharest's main thoroughfare, with an abundance of restaurants, shops and cultural attractions within easy walking distance. The city's finest museums are mere minutes away, making it an ideal base for both leisure and business travellers. Whilst the breakfast was available, we found it rather expensive for what was offered. However, this was not an issue as we discovered a charming café directly across from the hotel that provided excellent morning fare at more reasonable prices. The rooms maintain the classical elegance found throughout the property, with comfortable furnishings and all modern amenities one would expect from a hotel of this calibre. The attention to detail in both the public spaces and private rooms reflects the hotel's commitment to maintaining its historic charm whilst providing contemporary comfort. In conclusion, the Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti offers a superb hotel experience in the heart of Romania's capital. Despite the breakfast pricing, which is easily remedied by numerous nearby alternatives, the hotel's outstanding service, perfect location and classical charm make it a splendid choice for anyone visiting Bucharest. A truly commendable establishment that I would heartily recommend to fellow travellers.

We had a lovely stay overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the room was a good size — very pleasant and well kept. We were quite happy with the overall experience. Breakfast could be improved, as there weren’t many healthy options available. Most of the choices were heavier, American-style dishes, so a bit more variety would make a nice difference. It would also be great if the room cleaning were a bit more thorough each day, rather than just making the bed and changing towels. When guests pay for a hotel stay, consistent quality and attention to detail are always appreciated.

Stayed one night at this hotel as I was in transit to Zurich and then Toronto. Checked in about noon I disagreed I was given a Superior Deluxe Room with Double Bed. My room is single room is on the third floor; with a single bed, fridge, TV... What almost kills me is there is no lift nor elevator in this hotel. I had to dragged my bag to my room. Luckily the reception lady was nice to take the small bag for me, No overnight staff is there. I checked out at 3.30am to take my early fight. dropped my key at the reception.

Perfect base for a city trip to Bucharest! I stayed in a small single room. The room is indeed compact, but incredibly clean! It's thoroughly cleaned every day, and the tea bags and toiletries are also neatly refilled daily. The location is absolutely top-notch: the hotel is on a wonderfully quiet street, yet just a stone's throw away from the vibrant Old Town. This allows you to perfectly enjoy a night out and still get a good, peaceful night's sleep. The mattress is of very good quality; I slept wonderfully. A real recommendation for solo travelers!

A perfect apartment for the price. Clean, tidy, with coffee and tea station and still water in the fridge. Very spacious, and nice view from the balcony. Having a toothbrush kit would be nice. But overall I’m satisfied.

Place was clean and tidy. The staff were polite and happy to help with any concerns. The location is very good, not far from public transport, old town or shopping centres. The kitchen area always smelt funny but was always clean and tidy. Couple of things broken (soap pump broken, bottom water strip on shower missing so the bathroom floor gets saturated). I can’t comment on the breakfast as i never had it. No bodywash or shampoo/conditioner provided (not essential just have stayed at similar priced places with these amenities). I stayed in the female only dorm.

This is the second time I stayed here so I like the place. The owner/manager guy is great and the location is just about perfect. Close to the old town, a 24/7 Carrefour, and lots of good restaurants. But three things were less than good. The bed is very very very squeaky. The room often smells of sewage. You can open the little window and it helps a bit but it didn't really go away If you eat anything, look out for ants! I woke up to an intense ant party my second morning. I would still probably stay here next time I visit but for some people those things might be dealbreakers.

The stay didn't start well, as my flight was delayed and I had to check in in the early morning. It took two hours until I was finally attended to. However, the rest of my days, with the great atmosphere, good vibes, and available services, left me more satisfied. The shared dorms were spacious, the air conditioning wasn't excessive, and you could either cook your own meals or enjoy a delicious and varied breakfast that was really worth it. I'd definitely come back despite the initial inconvenience. The photo is my best memory, as it's the first thing I saw when I left my room.

The location of this hostel is great, very close to the center of Bucharest, and it is very convenient to walk to nearby attractions or libraries. Wi-Fi is available in the public areas and the speed is very stable. The best thing is that they have self-propelled facilities and dryers, which is a savior for long-term travelers! The atmosphere in the public garden is also very relaxing, and the overall stay is very satisfactory, recommended to all backpackers.
