"Lanta Sands was disappointing. The welcome was peremptory, as if the person had done it a thousand times before. The service wasn’t awful but much less professional than other resorts we’d visited and the food pretty average though breakfast buffet decent. Beach very crowded. Our room looked out onto the shabby backs of buildings, so we decided to move on after one night instead of staying for the two extra days we’d paid for. Perhaps just not for us. There are better deals than this to be had on Koh Lanta."

"We stayed at rawi warin for 4 nights in one of the hillside rooms. The room was spacious with a small balcony. The bed in particular felt huge as it was 2 beds pushed together. As other reviews mention, the hillside rooms are about a 10 mins walk away from the main pool. Walking is quite pleasant though as you are surrounded by greenery. And there's a closer hillside pool that has a great view. The facilities were great esp. the main pool which was huge, chlorine free, and very empty past 6pm - we were often the only ones using it in the evening. Also enjoyed the table tennis and pool tables. My only piece of feedback is that the resort could be better lit at night - it was too dark walking down paths/stairs. Loved seeing lizards and monkeys around the resort. Didn't try the hotel food much - there are some good restaurants a short walk away. The stretch of beach attached to the resort was beautiful and good for swimming."

"The nice hotel and good location in Koh Lanta. Close to Saladan Pier and downtown center. Easy to go for food and tour. The room was clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed the sunset and ocean view of the hotel's location. Recommended hotel on this island ever! Breakfast is good and variety options. Overall is very reasonable and valuable price for staying."

"What an incredible place! We’re staying at the Twin Lotus Resort & Spa (adults-only during this season) on Koh Lanta, and we couldn’t be happier. The location is fantastic: it’s right on Klong Dao Beach, a super long stretch of beautiful white sand. Even at low tide, it’s all soft sand—no rocks or coral to worry about. In the mornings, it’s pure bliss to walk for miles along the shoreline with the calm sea and peaceful atmosphere. Absolutely lovely.
The resort itself is spectacular. Surrounded by tall palm trees and lush tropical gardens, it feels like a real oasis of calm. No kids around (strictly adults only), so you can truly breathe in the peace and tranquility—perfect for relaxing and disconnecting.
The infinity pool is stunning, positioned right in front of the beach with comfy sun loungers and high-quality towels. You can spend the whole day switching between the pool, the sea, and a shady spot under the palms… heaven!
The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive—always smiling, super helpful, and the service is top-notch. Breakfast is excellent with a great variety and everything tastes delicious. In general, the food at the resort restaurants is really good, both in quality and presentation.
Honestly, it’s rated as 4 stars, but in terms of experience, it outshines many 5-star places we’ve stayed at before. I have no idea why it doesn’t have 5 stars officially—it’s spotless, beautifully maintained, and the overall vibe is just perfect.

"Just got back from an incredible stay at Long Beach Chalet in Koh Lanta, and honestly, I’d totally recommend it! The location is perfect — right on the beach with stunning views and epic sunsets that made every evening special. The staff was super friendly and helpful, making us feel really welcomed. Room cleaning was always spot on and right on time, which was much appreciated.
We had a blast even in the low season — there’s always something happening, like different shows every night, which kept things fun. The spa was a standout — so professional, super clean, and the massages on the beach were just wow. They also offer yoga classes if you're into that vibe.
Their coffeeshop is a hidden gem — great coffee, tasty sandwiches, and an impressive selection of cheesecakes. And the breakfast options…. Delicious and plentiful, perfect way to start the day.
All in all, a fantastic spot to chill and unwind. If you're heading to Koh Lanta, definitely consider this place. We had an awesome time!"

"Absolutely impeccable.
We stayed for 5 nights as a family with a 6yo child. We were more than satisfied from the first second to the last.
Checkin was very friendly with welcome drink and we received a free upgrade to a seaview room with pool access.
The breakfast was great, a wide array of Thai and European food. We also had dinner there several times, which was also of a very good quality.
The sports offers (Pilates, Yoga, Thai Boxing etx.) is 5star worthy, also the craft offers at the kids club was great for my daughter, although there were almost no other children using the kids club.
The room and the cleanliness leave nothing to desire, the staff was always friendly.
I there was one thing to critisize, it would be the A/C, which was broken once, and for my liking is too cold and directed to the bed. Also there was a hint of a mouldy smell coming from the A/C when on.
But that is complaining at the highest level."

The tour desk at Lemonade Boutique Inn can make arrangements for local excursions and activities. Guests may also rent bicycles or get around with a chargeable shuttle service. "Pros: Great location – Klong Dao Beach is just a couple of minutes away via a concrete path to the left of the hotel entrance (though swimming can be tricky at low tide). It's also close to the good northern part of Long Beach. There's a decent-sized 7/11 right across the road. The hotel offers a terrace area with low tables and floor cushions, perfect for smokers. There's also a luggage storage room, handy for leaving bags for a few hours before or after check-in.
The beds are comfortable, and each room has its own bathroom (toilet, shower, sink). Plus, there are extra sinks near the reception, so no issues with washing up. The bed linen is good. There's a curtain, but it's for two people, not individual. Each bed has its own fan, plus a shared one. A kettle is also provided.
Cons: It's a bit pricey, comparable to a decent hotel in Bangkok. Check-out is at 11 AM instead of 12 PM. There's some road noise, but it's not critical; earplugs weren't needed. Air conditioning runs on a schedule, which seems to be a common practice in this area. More hooks are needed; even a couple of nails in the bathroom would be helpful. There's a large gap between the bed and the wall that's quite dirty – no need to move anything to clean it, and the dust, hair, and fur are very visible against the white linen. While I was there, they mowed the grass behind the hotel, but it's otherwise an overgrown wasteland. This space could easily be turned into a lounge area or smoking spot without much investment, perhaps just a tarp tent like at the Saladan night market, or ideally, a pool! On the opposite side of reception, there's an abandoned area with toilets and some other room. The potted palm trees are drying out."

"Sri Lanta is a haven to escape the crowds, while having enough services around to keep you occupied in this corner of the beach. The rooms are classy and clean, save for a dirty kettle, with daily room service.
There's direct access to the beach via a convenient tunnel, which opens up to their pool, restaurant, bar and beach chairs. The bar owner is very friendly and his prices are reasonable to keep you happy for your stay.

"I can only assume the five stars are for the bathtub, but the water pressure is quite low.
1. Check-in requires a cash deposit or logging your credit card details.
2. The bedding was genuinely damp. I thought it might be typical for a seaside location, but other hotels, even with sea view rooms, weren't nearly as damp.
3. Upon check-in, the bedding looked really old and worn, like it was long overdue for an update.
4. Razors and similar amenities are not standard; you have to ask for them. This room type has no elevator, and while it's only up to the third floor, it's quite a trek.
5. The poolside area and happy hour by the sea are nice.
Compared to the Double Lotus (four-star) hotels nearby, they are significantly better than this one."

AAndy Black12349A lovely small, family-run hotel that is spotlessly clean with very friendly and helpful staff.
The room was spacious and well-kept, with a kettle and complimentary tea/coffee replenished daily during housekeeping.
Its location is excellent, with restaurants and shops just outside the door and also only a 15-minute walk into Saladan.
The only minor downside for me was that the bed was a little firm, but overall it was a wonderful stay.

JJanUpon arrival at Lanta Triple Novel, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. His hospitality truly made us feel at home, assisting us with everything we needed.
We stayed in the bungalows, which were spacious and well-equipped. There was a clothes drying rack inside and another on the porch—this was the first hotel where we had ample space to dry our clothes. The porch was furnished with plastic chairs and a table, perfect for relaxing outdoors. The bungalow featured a small kitchenette accessible from the porch through a side door, which is convenient if you're planning a longer stay.
Inside, there was a small plastic wardrobe for storing clothes and a mini-fridge. The only thing missing was a table and two chairs inside the room, which would have added to the comfort. The air conditioning was strong and kept the room cool. The location was very quiet, allowing us to rest peacefully. The only minor inconvenience was during heavy rain when the metal roof became quite loud.
We rented a scooter from the owner at a decent price, making it easy to explore the island. Although there's a restaurant as part of the hotel, we didn't have the time to dine there. Originally, we planned to stay for three days but ended up extending our stay to four because we enjoyed it so much.
The location is perfect—it's close to the beach, and there's a 7-Eleven just around the corner where you can get everything you need for your stay. It's a 4-minute drive to Saladan Pier, so you'll have an easy time catching ferries or speedboats for further travel.
Overall, our experience at Lanta Triple Novel was excellent. The friendly owner, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made our stay memorable.

HHanneMI had an amazing stay at the brand-new Phumala Lanta Seaview Resort! The bungalows are unique, built on stilts amidst lush greenery, with a magical view over the treetops and the coast. Staying here feels like being in a small fairytale, with comfortable beds, modern air conditioning, and a lovely terrace featuring both a bathtub and sun loungers. Between the bungalows, charming lighting in the trees creates a special and cozy atmosphere in the evenings. If any challenges arise, the staff and owner are incredibly attentive and resolve everything quickly and efficiently. The service is truly top-notch! The resort is just a 5-7 minute walk from a beautiful and peaceful beach, and shops and restaurants are also nearby. Across the road, Pad Thai Rock n Roll serves absolutely amazing food, and their staff is incredibly friendly – a must-visit during your stay. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it from four to nine nights. Note that the hotel shares its reception with Bakantiang Resort, so make sure to mention this to your taxi driver to find the correct location. Highly recommended!

It's in a great location, nearby to high quality local restaurants, a large shop with food, drink, toiletries but still tucked away in its own little world. There are several communal seating areas with communal board games (Azul, cards) and books to use during your stay.
The bed was big and comfortable, there was lots of space with two seating areas with tables, one inside our room and one outside. We were only provided with a sheet to sleep, rather than a quilt/duvet which was fine for us but some people might not like that. A choice would have been nice
I love the ”eco” feel - toiletries provided are great quality and environmentally friendly, instead of daily plastic single use bottles for water, a glass bottle with a water dispenser at reception is provided.
Breakfast is generously portioned and freshly cooked. Some more options for vegans would be nice (my partner just had toast and jam everyday) such as tofu scramble, peanut butter or non-dairy yoghurt. The coffee served at breakfast is delicious, unlike most hotels you can pick from cappuccino, latte etc that's made fresh with a proper coffee machine. That was a really nice touch that we enjoyed.
The bathroom was nicely decorated and was modern.
My only suggestions for improvements would be there are a lot of lights which made it hard to sleep without an eye mask (the sockets emit lights and we couldn't turn the Aircon display off), and the bathroom has a window with no blind/curtain so the bathroom door needed to be closed. Also there are small gaps around the front door meaning we often had small visitors to our room (geckos, millipedes etc). But overall this didn't affect our stay and are very easy fixes. Also a dimmer switch on the very bright bedside lamp would be nice.

The facilities need to be improved. There is no hair dryer or kettle. You have to ask for it before you can get it. It feels so strange. Is there a hair dryer for washing hair? Why bother? The deposit of 1,000 is also strange. I stayed in 6 hotels during the whole trip, and this is the only one that requires a deposit.
It may be due to the peak season. I booked a room on Ctrip. 8 Chairman Mao tickets for one night are too expensive and do not match the facilities. I think 4 or 5 tickets are OK.

- located close to the Saladan Pier where the boats dock, and just next door to the night market that offers food and shopping
- welcoming and helpful staff (the hotel has no elevator, but the receptionist offered himself to carry my bag to the second floor
- free use of washing machine on the rooftop, all you need is buy a detergent in the supermarket nearby (5 baht)
- small kitchen if you would wish to prepare some food of your own
- vivid lobby brightened up by graffiti, with free water and a small library
- rooftop terrace with a hammock, with sadly not spectacular view (the roof of the market is quite unappealing - some graffiti artist should cover that too ;))
What could be improved?
- big bed is actually two twin beds connected together. Also, they are wrapped in that plastic which you can feel under the sheets :(
- I felt the cleanliness of the room could be on a higher level, especially floors and bathroom
- no handsoap in the bathroom (I used the shower gel, but even that one was fixed for the wall, so it doesnt get stolen, I guess?)
- just two big towels per room (no small towels, or a floor towel)
- even when at maximum, water temperature never gets hot or truly warm
- the hotel looks a bit run down, and could use some facelifting. There are holes in the floor of the common area, the bathroom seems unfinished, with exposed walls and some ventilation openings plugged with - plastic bags?
- i think key deposit of 500 baht is such an unneeded nuisance in these modern times - cant they just charge you if you lose it?

GGuest UserWonderful find. I spent hours trying to find rhe right place and I did. Rim Khao is a lovely little group of bungalows that back into the forest, but are conveniently on the main road and just a 10 minute walk from the beach. This is a brilliant place for a really good price. I spent hours watching the monkeys, ants, lizards, frogs, birds and butterflies that were very present. As I had no transport and only a walking budget, was limited where I went. But there was enough. The beach is beautiful for swimming and sunbathing. There is little shade, but if you walk to the end of the beach, theres a lot more shade there. If tou are happy to scramble the rocks, there is plenty of wildlife there too....fish, a billion crabs and brazen seabirds.there are plenty of restaurants, both local and tourist all just a stones throw away and the walking street is as good as any.
The room was very quiet with air con and a fan that were efficient. The hot water was plentiful in the shower and cleaners were operating every day.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and English was really strong which of course is always appreciated , but never expected. The pool is more of a plunge pool, but thats all i personally ever need. You may consider it needs a bit of tlc, but it didnt bother me. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the road could barely be heard.just remember that the call to prayer can be heard almost everywhere. Oh, and a 7/eleven right next door. Amazing, and i hope to go back.

Location is great.North is noisy and a little bit crowd, south is not convenient. Moonlight is in middle of lanta and just near the sea.It has its own beach and there is a wood cabin you can lay down to get massage.
Food is good.My package includes breakfast.There are fresh fruits, bacon,yogurt .I stayed 2 days in moonlight ,the 2 days' breakfast is same but delicious .
Room is clean and towards to ocean.I booked ocean view room and the view is stunned.
Service is 11 out of 10! Staff is very polite and enthusiastic.You can fell everyone is so happy then you'll become happy too.Trust me, moonlight is perfect place to chose.

GGuest UserWe traveled as a family with young children and stayed at Chomview Koh Lanta. The room was spacious and big enough to comfortably accommodate four people, which was very convenient for our family.
However, there were several issues during our stay. The walkway to the room had no lighting at night, which felt unsafe, especially when traveling with children. We also experienced water shortages, and the room had an unpleasant smell coming from the toilet.
The location is quite far from the main road, so transportation is necessary to get around. This may not be convenient for families without their own vehicle.
On a positive note, the staff hospitality was good and they were friendly and helpful.
Overall, the hotel has good room size and kind staff, but improvements are needed in maintenance, lighting, and water supply.
