Very disappointed in our stay at Kincraig Castle Hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful but that's about all that is good. The food is horrendous. The bar menu is a joke and the food was shockingly bad. The rooms are tired and outdated. Stay somewhere else.

A well placed hotel to explore the Highlands. The breakfast includes both continental offerings as well as hot foods cooked to order. The best part of the hotel is the staff. Vijay is a GEM!! So friendly and the epitome of a hotelier. His welcoming smile and enthusiasm was a wonderful way to either start or finish our day. Sam served us dinner on our last night in the hotel and he was a charming delight. We laughed our way through dinner and both men made our sister trip memorable and fun.

Sehr gutes Essen und freundliches Personal, dass immer zu Scherzen aufgelegt war. Auch als wir kein Hotel für die weitere Reise fanden, versuchte uns das Personal weiterzuhelfen. Schöne Aussicht und gepflegte Hotelzimmer. Falls jemandem zu kalt wäre, würde sogar eine Zusatzelektroheizung bereit stehen. Sehr empfehlenswert

The hotel is very nice and well-maintained. Personally, we were not satisfied with the evening staf. I had the impression that only cleaning ladies work there. We booked an evening meal. We were shocked, there was nothing to eat from the menu. We ate the most expensive fast food for which we waited 55 minutes. We liked the water the most, which we also had to pay for. I will not describe more, but such ignorance is not found in any hotel

The rooms were great but the staff, except at the bar, were not particularly welcoming. It was no longer possible to get anything to eat at 3pm. The receptionist was unfriendly. There is a snack bar in the evening, but the food is not particularly good. It's better to eat out. The hotel only has 15 rooms, but you still have to give times for dinner and breakfast even though there weren't many guests. The tables are not cleared for breakfast and there is a general lack of cordiality. We did not feel welcome.

Amazing stay! Incredible staff super comfy rooms, close to Inverness. Felt like a king and queen waking up with our views of the hills. Food was delicious. Felt like we had traveled back in time and were living it up in a castle. Loved our time here and wish we could have stayed longer!

Our stay was for two nights covering Sunday and Monday. These are both nights the kitchen was closed. Staff were quick to offer all the nearby options and could arrange takeaways or bookings. We had the best room in the place with a turret (room 16)! Whilst a bit old it played well into the charm of the place. Huge room, large bathroom and spa. Weather was not great but the room was toasty. Breakfast was included and was just above average. Usual selections of continental and cooked. I have to single out Vijay, one of the managers. He was amazing, always smiling, helpful in every situation and a real pleasure to talk to. Brilliant guy! Overall, well recommended!

I couldn’t agree more with recent reviews (from Tom J for instance) whereby the hotel has taken a turn for the worse with new management in place. The price paid did not reflect the quality of the hotel in our opinion. The food served for dinner (the bar menu) was shocking, compared to what used to be- a proper dinner menu. They also charged £7 for a beer and £5.50 for Scottish Sparkling water!! Positives were the bar staff who were really nice and the breakfast which was great.
